About the author

J.R. Rogue first put pen to paper at the age of fifteen after developing an unrequited high school crush and has never stopped writing about heartache. She has published multiple volumes of poetry and novels. Her work has been recognized with three Goodreads Choice Awards nominations, a testament to the impact of her work on readers.

In addition to her writing, J.R. Rogue is a certified yoga teacher with additional certification in Yoga Nidra and Trauma-Informed Yoga. She is passionate about mindfulness and meditation, and currently studying Foundations in Meditation. Furthermore, J.R. Rogue has been sober from alcohol since January 1st, 2020, a personal achievement that she is proud of and that has strengthened her commitment to mindfulness and wellness.

J.R. Rogue resides in a small town in the Midwest with her family, where she enjoys a peaceful life reading and telling stories

A good collection of poetry. J.R. Rogue's words are filled with rawness like everything bursts out of her heart and laid it all out to her readers. Though I couldn't connect to some of her poems, there are others that are good like: Microscopic Moments, The Stain Soulmates Leave Behind (Entry 6), Phantom Limb and, I Am the Story He Needs . I recommend it if you're looking for good poetry books.

WHAT A STEAL. You get ALL of prolific writer J.R. Rogue's poetry collections (apart from Tell Me Where It Hurts) for 11.99! I recommend picking it up. Reading it slowly. It's worth every penny, even if you own her previous collections.

I love the look and feel of the book. IT'S SO THICK! So many pages. So many feelings. Different fonts and styles to separate each collection.

J. R. Rogue has a way with words. No, really. It's kindof insane. There are times when you feel like she's crawled into your head and heart and then exposed your every feeling on paper. It's been a while since I read so much poetry at one time. I've missed it. I've missed connecting so strong to words that I didn't write, yet they feel like I did.
All Of My Bullsh*t Truths had poems that were a couple of lines long, to a couple of pages long. I loved the variation and the difference in the poems. However, it also felt like they all went together. For a book of so many poems, it flowed well. You can tell she wrote them all and wrote them all with every fiber of her being. She didn't pull any stops and didn't cut herself short.
I needed these poems. I needed some of the words. They hit me in the feels and I loved every second of it.

You absorbed them. You absorbed me.
You ached with me. You reached for me.
With your hands. With your voice.
With your poetry.
& I wasn’t alone."

I've loved everything that Rogue has written and I enjoyed this book of poems to no end. I want to print and frame many of them. They speak to your soul.

COLD BLUE

" i feel November,
when i lie on the operating table.

i stretch myself out;
shoulder blades.
lonely capsized mountains.
vertebrate. a sting. my heels. pressed.

i cut myself down the middle.
one long incision.
the shock has me numb.
i cut out the love that remains for you.

i place it in the gun metal bin next to my limp wrist.
discarded.
i stitch myself up.
your favorite song plays over the speaker in the waiting room.
i hum your lonely tune.
i wipe you from my cheeks.
your salt, your letters.

maybe it's the chill in the room.
maybe it's not you,
rolling around in my wounds.

what's better than one j.r rogue book? multiple books in one. again, without trying, she tells a wonderful and heart-shattering story. poetry with words so carefully picked out, it was like a graceful falling everytime i was introduced to the next chapter.

This collection isn't small at all, and it is mighty loud. From start to finish it is emotional and pushes you to the edge.

Usually I like to share a selection of poems I read with my students, but there is a lot of sensual poems in this book. Beautiful poems, but ones that push the envelope a bit too much for the high school crowd.

I got a couple of J.R Rogue poetry books for the holidays this past Christmas, and finally had a chance to pick up her books and have a read. Although I do enjoy her poetry nothing in all of my bullshit truths hit any kind of cord within me. I didn't feel much when reading the poems in this novel, other then oh that's nice. And when reading poetry, I like to feel some a bit more. I like the poems to strike me in anyway, and though I did not really enjoy this book as I have others. I know there are people out there who love this poetry book and all of the poems inside, and I'm sorry I'm not one of them.

This is a collection of poems some I've read before in her other books, the rest are new to me, yet I can't help but feel something with each one that I read.
She slips past flesh and bone, seeping into your soul, some resonate so close to home it's uncanny.
I can't wait to read her latest release, it intrigues me that I've never been one for poetry, yet hers speaks to me, maybe it's because her work is real, raw and passionate. You are left feeling less alone, in a world that isn't perfect or without its flaws, where you can at times feel so out of your depth. But at the same time there is still beauty just underneath the surface, flaws and all.

Beautiful

Ms. Rogue's words bare truth, each poem a connection to the soul. Eloquently written, sorrowfully true. I feel broken I'm the best way, can't wait to read more from her
