I've been told I got issues with authority but it's not true. As long as no one's trying to be an asshole, I'm perfectly fine.

The baby-faced FBI agent shows me a picture of Sonia, and I groan. I remember how the stunning ice princess dissed me at the Sochi games, even after we both won gold. Now, I am supposed to help save her?

Hell no! Rumor is, her daddy's money comes from the Russian mafia and I don't need that kind of shit, not when my own career is finally taking off.

Kit is a Stand-alone Novella! No cheating, no cliff hangers, and HEA guaranteed.

Amazon Best Seller Stella Marie Alden loves Zumba, yoga, watercolor painting, and all genres of romances.

Her first book, ‘How to Train Your Knight’, won Romance Writers of America coveted Molly and Show me the Sparks Contests, and placed in four others.
Truly remarkable, considering she’s only been writing for three years.

Growing up in Vermont, she loved to make up stories. Crayons fought each other over size and placement in their cardboard box and imaginary friends crowded the house. Her brother often complained. “Tell her no one’s here, Mother.".

Her career paths have varied. She’s been a librarian, a classical clarinetist wanna-be, recording studio engineer, broadcast electronics repairman, and now she architects software programs.

She lives in Bergen County, NJ with her life-long hero and their two cats. Her two girls are grown but ever supportive. You go Mom!

A pretty good Mafia romance...with an Olympic skater and a professional hockey player. The storyline is good; the characters hold your attention; the plot twists and turns were good...but that attempt at Russian dialogue was annoying for me. Even if they are speaking a different language, the reader doesn't need to be hit over the head with it. The use of "dat" for that over and over becomes just something to skip over. Sonia and Kit were awesome--their journey to their HEA made for a great read. You need to add this one to your library because it's got all the right bells and whistles. (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and enjoyed it.) ❤️

Two Olympic athletes are featured in this book, Kit a Canadian hockey player and Sonia a Russian figure skater. They first meet at the Olympia when she was only 17 and “jailbait”, in his opinion. It also didn't help that her father was a member of the Russian mob. They meet again four years later and the attraction is still there – but the plot thickens, the mob is still front and center. Enter the FBI, fake and real, cyber attacks, and more drama than you can imagine. But to make up for it there's no cliffhanger and an HEA. I received an advance copy and voluntarily chose to review.

I really liked this book. The best part are the accents that this one is filled with. The narrator did an outstanding job with them. I met Kit in Counter Play. He is French. Ooo la la. He gets entangled with the FBI and a Russian lady.

This is short, sexy and fun. I did listen to this on audio. Jonathan Winters is the narrator. He really surprised me in this one with all the different accents he had to pull off (3). Well done!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Good short hot story. The author has a good writing style and I liked the way she leaves errors in dialogs to transcript the accent of Kit.
The relations between the characters can be really hard : In this book you’ll find a mix of gangsters, FBI, sport and love. So, it’s a good mix :)

Love at first sight

I love this author and the way her character's follow on in each book, kit is a cocky guy and it's nice to see his womanizing ways tested by a young Russian figure skater. Although thrust together by the evil in sonia's life they find a way to feed the flame between them great short read

Love a good mafia style book. This isn’t dark and twisted like some. This has action, a little suspense, hot strong characters and some real nice steamy scenes. Nicely done Ms. Alden.
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review. Yes, definitely read this one.

A feel good read

The good guys are very likable, as well as well written. The pacing is excellent, and nd the story is okay.

My only complaint is that the bad guys are an extreme caricature.

Loved this book. Of course it was about Kit, but you can’t forget Sonia. At least they did find their happily ever after

Small axe falls big tree

Although short I really enjoyed reading this book.

I love Sonia's feisty personality and how Kit would go to the end of the earth for her.

Kit

As we do not hear a whole lot about Kit throughout the different series, this was a good side story. Like all, full of drama and emotions.
