Fun, imaginative intro to major L.M. Montgomery sites on Prince Edward Island, mostly Green Gables and the homesite. The author imagines Anne and Maud and their friends in these places as she writes of her visits and shares photos employing select quotes from the novels and Maud's journals and letters which is effective. The author does evoke the sites and even the rooms of Green Gables effectively (and affectively) though those not enthusiastic fans may be put off by her adulation. The photos are lovely and profession, though I would have preferred more; however, having just been there, I now have plenty of my own!
I have been on a LM Montgomery kick lately and I enjoyed seeing the pictures of Prince Edward Island and learning more about Montgomery's life. It is really interesting to read all the parallels between Maud's life and Anne's life. Would definitely recommend to fans of her works.
