We're stuck in the day-in and day-out mundanity of life. But God wants us to dream with Him. He gives us the desires of our hearts, and He want us to build ourselves up in our faith and pursue those dreams.
The enemy comes with doubt, unbelief, religious thinking, and other obstacles to combat our dreams. Ward off spiritual attack and acheive your dreams with a prayer action plan.
After receiving one wild prophecy, prophetess Jennifer LeClaire was inspired to chase after the God of her dreams–the One who ultimately makes all dreams come true. Dream Wild will set a Holy Ghost fire under people to pursue God of the desires He put in their hearts. Each chapter begins with a short prophetic word, and the book includes stories of inspiration, overcoming challenges, gaining victory, and experiencing God’s power as they relate to building one’s faith to dream.

What are your dreams? I love reading books, reviewing books, talking about books, sharing books, rescuing weather-logged books in those damnable ‘Free Little Libraries’, selling books, and donating books. So it makes sense that my dream is to become an author and own my own bookstore in the city I love.
British archaeologist, diplomat, military officer, and writer Thomas Edward Lawrence said, “All men dream. But not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity. But the dreamers of the day are dangerous men. For they may act their dreams with open eyes to make it possible.”
Steve Jobs started his dream in his garage with college friend Wozniak. Out of it Apple was born bringing us the smartest and best phones in the world (I hate androids!). But to achieve this dream, it didn’t go without its struggles. During the 1980s, the Board voted unanimously to fire Jobs from his own company, after Bill Gates stole his ideas and implemented them into Microsoft. Undeterred, Steve Jobs started Next, and created the software known as OS. Apple struggling without Jobs, needed the software, bought Next, fired their current CEO, and voted unanimously to hire Jobs back as Owner and CEO of Apple.
Jobs later said in 1997, "Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes ... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. ... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things. ... They push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do."
Jeff Bezos also started his dream in his garage, giving birth to the online shopping giant, Amazon. Starting out only selling books, Bezos came into some legal trouble with ownership of the name ‘Amazon’, for at the time Amazon Bookstore was a lesbian bookstore in the Midwest, named after the Amazon legend of a giant women-only community. But as we know, Bezos secured all rights to the name, and created the online platform as we know today.
“When their cars spin out of control, racecar drivers are trained to focus on where they want to go rather than where the cars are headed. They are schooled to pull the wheel in the opposite direction of the wall that could put an end to their dreams of winning the race. Here’s the principle: you will always move toward what you focus on. When you feel as though you are spinning out of control, when you feel as if you are about to hit a wall, you have two choices. You can focus on the problem or you can focus on the solution. You can keep heading toward a crash, or you can pull out of the tailspin by refocusing your mind on Jesus.” - Chapter 21: The Battle for Focus
“Christianity is the only religion that dares you to dream wild dreams with God. As a matter of fact, the Bible is full of Scriptures that point to two facts. One, God has deep thoughts about who you are and has things in store for you that so awesome you cannot even fathom them as 1 Corinthians 2:8-9 says, ‘None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” —the things God has prepared for those who love him—‘ (NIV). Two, God wants to give you more than you can hope for or imagine: ‘God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.’ (Ephesians 3:20-21, The Message). - Shawn Bolz, Dream Wild, Foreword
So I ask you, if you have big dreams, crazy dreams, wild dreams, what’s stopping you from making them a reality? Because whatever it is, I assure you it’s not enough to stop the God-sized Dream within you! But if you physically can’t move forward in your dreams, if you’ve tried everything and failed, if you want to toss in the towel and say no to your dreams, keep fighting and keep on dreaming dreamer!
A great audiobook but I think this is one of those books where you have to get the paperback so you can underline, write notes in the margin, add sticky notes, etc.
