In Over Your Head by Susie Larson is a wonderful book if you are in need of greater balance in your life. Does your life feel like an endless list of tasks to get done? Do you feel depleted in you physical or spiritual health? Pick up this book. The author deals with these topics in a simple and easy to use format. She quickly gets to the heart of the matter and helps you think things through. This is a book to read and re-read again. I highly recommend it. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher. These opinions are entirely my own.
Excellent! Susie Larson is fast becoming a favorite author, again and again. I wish she could be my private mentor in all reality. This is one of those books I hope to return to someday. Each chapter is full of meat to chew on. Many tips and study ideas are given, but take note that you don’t have to overwhelm yourself with all the tips and questions. Just pick one or two to focus on, and take your time. She states this in the very beginning section “How to Use This Book.” Don’t skip that section! And oh, how the Lord is using her to touch my heart in places just where it’s needed! HIGHLY recommended for anyone who wants to grow closer to the Lord and find balance in their lives.
I hadn't realised how heavily scriptural it would be. Whilst I understand that people might want to discuss their faith, I think that this limits the potential audience and definitely needs to be signposted. The focus on God and prayer is such that there are very few practical hints and tips which I found problematic.
Listened to this on audiobook and I loved it. It helped me refocus my eyes on God over and over and also helped me realize how often I’m living my life with little thought to His presence and will in my life. I will absolutely listen to it again.
One of my friends recommended this book to me. I really enjoyed it and liked how I could write in the book my goals for each week and God's promises to me.
