A great book, covers Zindane entire playing career, right up to being sent off in his final games for France against Italy in the 2006 FIFA World Cup Final, the usually type of book based on a football career, early life, emotion and demands of playing football, various experiences at various clubs, good and not so good moments, a very detailed look at Zindanes footballing career, again a easy to read book, short chapters, really enjoyed, any negatives, not really, full career covered, but no pictures inside of book.

This is the way that football should be written. Great descriptions of game contexts and the mechanics of what the player did, as well as a cohesive narrative of his life. The one thing missing was his epic career as manager of Real Madrid. Looking forward to reading Matt and Tom Oldfield's other footballing biographies with my son Zaydan.

Always enjoy reading about a footballing legends career, and what a career Zidane had. He’s won everything and did it with style and determination. But mostly talent. I was curious how he got his big move to Juventus and was surprised when I read about Blackburn Rovers having the opportunity to sign him and not doing it because they had Tim Sherwood. I think I’m more impressed by Zidane as a manager than as a player. The way he is able to simply get the best out of all his players by simply playing them in their preferred positions. But the real reason I think is simple. It’s because every footballer respects and admires Zidane. As he simply was one of the best to have ever played and won everything a player can dream off. I think more could have been written about his temper and how he pretty much cost France that final when he was sent off in his final France match against Italy. But overall another enjoyable read about the best midfielder to have ever played.

It's a cool book, Zinedine Zidane is the Manager of The Spanish team Real Madrid and it's surprising to some people that he was a footballer so if you like football and know who Zidane is you'll be interested in this book. He's also a Muslim and has had an excellent career of football.
