✯✯5 Emotional Stars!!!✯✯

OMG!! What a debut book by TJ Rudolph. I was hooked from the synopsis and knew I had to read this. I read it in one afternoon. When you decide to read this make sure you have tissues. You'll need them.

Grace Delaney didn't have an easy life. Her mother took off and left her and her father. Grace's father works mostly out of town for weeks at a time. She didn't have any friends. Then, Aaron Wheeler walked into her life. They became best friends. Aaron said she was his sister. She became like a daughter to his parents. She'd stay with them when her father was away.

Grace and Aaron were planning on going to college together. Grace planned on telling Aaron how she really felt about him. But, Aaron was in a car accident and passed away before Grace got the chance. Grace went into a depression after loosing Aaron. Aaron's parents and her father try to help her. She wasn't going to go to college without him. Then, Aaron showed up encouraging her to go.

Grace goes to college and runs into Chase Ryder. He's from her town. Grace heard of Chase but didn't know of him. She only knows he went to juvi, but doesn't know exactly why. Chase insists he wants to be friends with Grace. Chase finds himself drawn to her and the need to protect Grace. Chase himself didn't have a good childhood. He'd do anything to forget it.

After Aaron passed away Grace didn't think she'd ever love again. But, she finds herself falling for Chase. Whenever Grace needs advice or needs to talk to someone who really knows her, Aaron comes to her. She knows he's not real. But, Grace will take as much time with Aaron that she can.

Just when Grace was finding some peace and a routine in her life. Her feelings for Chase have grown. Somebody from her past comes back. Grace has only trusted Aaron with the truth. Grace must learn to trust Chase for them to work. But, then Chase's past comes back and Grace doesn't know if she can forgive him.

This book was beautiful. You'd never know that this is TJ Rudolph's debut book. The way she wrote this story. I was bawling from the very beginning until the very end. 5 stars aren't enough. I can not wait from more from TJ Rudolph.

Saved by Grace is very much like a true to life story. If targets the conflicts of coping with the loss of a loved one. Learning to recover from the grief of a close friend or family member may be one of the hardest challenges that many deal with.

Grace, a young adolescent is faced with this struggle when her best friend, Aaron, whom she secretly loves, dies in a car accident on his way to meet her.  She faces many different challenges and emotions trying to move on with her life while mourning the loss of Aaron.

Everyone reacts differently to death and some develop coping mechanisms for the grief. Grace’s unconscious answer to work through this comes in the form of an apparition of Aaron. This revenant gives her comfort in her attempt to move on while giving her guidance on some of her personal issues she encounters.

She meets Chase, who has his own demons and obstacles to conquer. As they get closer, they both are able to open up and share some of their secrets. But there is one huge plot twist that was so unexpected and will shock the reader.

Saved by Grace is heartbreaking and emotional, but also brings with it the light that is on the other side of the darkness associated with sorrow and despair. A remarkable YA read.

Grace Delaney has seen more loss than anyone her age should. After losing the love of her life she decided to never open her heart to that kind of hurt. But fate and Chase Ryder have other plans.

He's a puzzle that Grace's heart just itches to solve. Everything about him invites her curiosity and desire. In the face of his devastating smile and charming ways, she finds herself ensnared in all that is Chase. But something tells her his secrets are far more dangerous that she can handle.

This story was so breathtakingly good, y'all!! And seriously, Chase and Grace together were ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE. I loved their chemistry and instant connection. They were just made for each other.

I was shook while reading this book. THAT TWIST!!!! (Y'all will know what I'm talking about when you read.) I totally wasn't expecting it and it made the whole story super amazing. This is definitely worth a read. What a great ride!

I was so pleased to have had the opportunity to read this emotional book; it is a touching and captivating story. I have never read something that had me crying and cheering for the characters throughout the whole storyline. While I grieved for one I was cheering on two more. TJ Rudolph is a outstanding author, who has written a phenomenal book.

Grace Delaney was in love with her friend Aaron Wheeler but because of unfortunate circumstances she would never be able to tell him. She was accepted into Winchester Roth College, where she went to do an art major. There she meets Chase Ryder, her neighbor, who is always there for her night and day. He is in a band The Bleeding Hearts and was once in juvi; Grace and Chase end up having feelings for one another.

This is the first book I have read from TJ Rudolph and it won't be the last. I hope there will be a second book to this story. For now this is a standalone book.

Language: R (37 swears, 9 "f"); Mature Content: PG13; Violence: PG13
I appreciate the example of love, grief, and forgiveness in this story; they are messy and complicated in real life, and I feel like Rudolph represents that fairly. We all have difficult things to get through, but the point is that we get through them. Honestly, the fact that Grace's story is a cute romance didn't feel like the dominate theme, and that's a positive thing. The mature content rating is for underage drinking, substance abuse, illegal activity, and innuendo. The violence rating is for death, gun use, mentions of suicide, and both child and domestic abuse.

Starting with a devastating loss this heartfelt, sweet story deals with the pain realistically without being overly melodramatic. Showing the difficulties of moving on and that grief is not a weakness. When the ghost element appears, an advantageous coping mechanism, it is endearing & humorous and up to you to decide how "real" it is.

Truth be told the "I must stay away from the guys because he is a player" thing is a little tired and I think in this story, not really needed. Also the jealous outbursts took unnecessary time from the otherwise engaging story.

But when the story changes, as their pasts start to torment & endanger their present, not only does it get back on track, but flourishes emotionally. This book is a chameleon which is actually a good thing, where the changes can be quite surprising, as is how everyone's story intertwines.

This is a story of two broken people saving each other, redemption and forgiveness. And yes there will be tears.

This Story is that of tragedy, grieving, forgiveness & second chance love. It's Grace & Chase's story of overcoming the bad & holding on to the good in their life. Can two broken people help each other heal & allow themselves to love? You'll have to read to find out.

I absolutely loved reading this Story. It had me in tears from beginning to end. Grace's grief & how she deals with it over her sudden loss was so well detailed, you could feel her pain. It reminds you that life goes on after loss. The way she feels for Chase & he for her is what everyone hopes to find. If all of that wasn't enough , the Author added in an edge of your seat, heart pounding , life or death situation that involves a very bad man & a mother who was never there for Grace!!!!! Oh man, I Loved this Story!

Suggestion Alert:

 Grab a tissue...Oh The Feels!

My thoughts and Rating:

I absolutely loved reading this story. I definitely recommend giving it a read.

I give this Book  5 Stars ⭐⭐ ⭐ ⭐⭐

“I knew he would take my heart and rip it to shreds.”

Saved by Grace was like taking a breath of fresh air. I have forgotten how much of an impact a good YA Romance can have on me. Throughout this story we are given pain, sadness, love and happiness with a side of suspense.

“I had enough heartbreak to last me a lifetime.”

Grace is 17 when a tragic accident happens and leaves her beyond heartbroken. I felt her pain through the pages and wished I could take it all away. She has know too much heartache in her young years but continues to put one foot in front of the other.
Chase...god I fell hard for him. He is beautiful, mysterious and damaged but his heart shines brighter with each turn of the page. Both characters do not trust easily and are broken. Together can they mend to become whole?

“Grace, I am no good for you. I don’t want to hurt you; you don’t deserve to be around someone like me.”

This story caught me by surprise and it is one that I will read again. I recommend this book you are looking for an emotional read that will pull on your heartstrings while giving you hope.

“You have it all wrong, Grace, you are the one who saved me.”

I would be lying if I said this book wasn't utterly heartbreaking and that I didn't shed a few tears. We have all lost people we love, but Grace and Chase are two of the most broken people I have ever seen. And the sad thing is that their families played such a big part in that. Your family are supposed to be people you can trust. Instead, they gave these two some major issues. Neither of them really knew how to have a normal relationship so when they fell in love, they weren't sure what to do. And the big secret that Chase keeps hidden away? Even I didn't see that one coming. But it will threaten to break them apart for good. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was how both over reacted so much. It seemed a bit extreme at times. Otherwise, I had to finish this book in one evening. So, yeah I liked it!

Saved by Grace is T.J. Rudolph’s debut novel. Some books are dubbed YA, but there is a level of sophistication and maturity about them that makes them read more like a book intended for an adult. Saved by Grace is a YA novel that is truly written for the young adult.

This emotional read respectfully addresses some tough topics. The teens in the story have faced abuse, abandonment, neglect, and loss. Beneath their normal façade lays a deep well of sadness and regret. It is safe to say there is a message of not understanding someone until you’ve walked in his shoes.

I didn’t anticipate the plot twists, and they provided an interesting story culmination. In the end, Grace and Chase really do need one another in order to survive (you’ll have to read the book to find out how they help one another). Overall, this sad tale is about not just dealing with loss but also forgiveness and moving on.
