Riley LaShea grew up in an Ohio town that looks like a dust speck on most maps. It was boring and awful, so she got the hell out of there. Now, she doesn't know where she wants to be, so over the past several years she has lived in Nashville, Orlando, Fort Worth, Allentown, Columbus, Kansas City, Raleigh, outside LA and inside Manhattan.

She won a lyric contest judged by the Indigo Girls in high school and a screenplay contest judged by Creative Screenwriting Magazine once. Her first published novel became a bestseller at one indie bookstore in Oakland that has since gone out of business.

Known to take great risks in the noble pursuit of creativity, sometimes she prefers to just sit around eating chocolate yogurt and doing KenKen in pajama pants.

The final in the Trilogy - Kindle Unlimited.

I have to lament regret to the way this novel meandered a bit and also seemed to stretch out a lot of plot points and went back and forth a lot - only to not really end in a very satisfying manner... I kind of feel cheated that we never got a proper ending. (Nor did we get a full explanation for what was going on.)

I was riveted, and curious along the way - but as the 'minutes left' ticked down on my kindle I got antsy with what was left hanging, and wondering how it could wrap up in time. Then I got a complete non-ending that left me bitter and frustrated.

It's almost like the author simply didn't know how to end things, so therefore didn't. I get open endings, really I do! But this was just stretched out so far and with so much tied up and yet also so much left hanging that it's hard not to feel strongly about it in the negative.

So I'm not going to say much further. Which is really saying something for me, when I have so little to say that I can't even rant. 😢

This was actually a really great ending to the series. Sad, mind you, but still really good. Well worth the many months delay. Be ye warned though that this is not a stand alone. It references the first two books, Kingdoms Fall and Magicks Rise, quite often, therefore, to understand the journey of this one I think it imperative to read the first two, especially KF. The reasons I rated this a four are because I would have liked to see more Cinderella/Rapunzel scenes. Although I do understand why the author did not place them as the focal point being that this was the final book, it still would have been nice to have had more scenes with just the two of them. Also, I was not expecting the ending to be as abrupt as it was. Other than those minor things, this book, actually this whole series, really is worth it.

A good ending to a good series. As I said for #2 the author sometimes loses her way and meanders a bit. That and the rushed ending reduced it from five to 4 stars.
My other peeve is that the author has a really great couple with great chemistry in Cinderella and Rapunzel and doesn't really use them enough. I would have liked to have seen more of them together rather than separate adventures (this is a common theme throughout the series)
I have concentrated on the negative points but there a many good things within these pages. Good series - recommended
