When veteran rock star and accidental national treasure Geordie Selwyn and his musician friends are invited to a glamorous jet-set wedding on a millionaire's super yacht in the Mediterranean they don't realise that they will soon be battling for survival against a seemingly unbeatable force of ancient evil - an entity so potent that even Geordie's ruthless long-time intergalactic adversaries, The Harvesters, find themselves powerless to resist its formidable strength.

Time hopping from the rock clubs and hippy ballrooms of 1970's Northern Britain to the tourist hot-spots of 21st Century Southern Cyprus and the abandoned cities and castles in the occupied North of the island, Sunburst tells a epic tale of raging ambition, devastating loss, eternal love, ex-pat life, disorderly stag parties, rampant mid-life crisis and electric guitars

A demon guitar, a sun-drenched resort, a celebrity wedding and a bunch of old rockers. This book has so many fun ingredients, it's hard to know where to start. I've enjoyed Geordie Selwyn before, so I knew I was in for a treat spending some time with him. We flashback to the 1970s, when rock was young, which makes it all the funnier to see how some of the characters have ended up. Old resentments and new ambitions drive the plot forward to the inevitable climax, which is a masterpiece of slapstick chaos.

Once again we are taken back into the world of the familiar Rockline characters. Life is never boring where Geordie Selwyn is involved and, once again, the author didn’t disappoint.

If you want an entertaining read with aliens, hilariously oblivious aging rock stars and plenty of references to rock/heavy metal, then give this a try. Even better, read the other books in the series first, and then give this a try!

This was a very, very different story. That being said, I enjoyed it immensely! I raced through the whole book in just two evenings, it's very easy to read. The storyline is absolutely original, the characters are all unique and memorable, and the extraterrestrial interference pulls the entire story together. This is a great look at the fickle flame of fame and fortune, and how extenuating circumstances can make or break a project. And aliens!! Great book, now I'm going to have to add more to my TBR pile!
