How does a girl get over a broken heart?

As always, Bradley has the answer, and nineteen-year-old Tia Cain soon finds herself in New York with a new job, a new apartment, and a not-so-new appreciation of cocktails.

Guided by her boss, fashion designer Ishmael, Tia settles into life in the Big Apple only to find the world of haute couture isn’t as glamorous as she thought. Fortunately, she’s got sexy bodyguard, Cade, and her new online chat buddy, Eli, to take her mind off things. One has the looks, the other has the voice, and both make her heart do backflips.

But Ishmael’s world of sunshine and rainbows can’t last forever, and when the city reveals its dark side, friendships new and old are put to the test in a race for survival. Can love win the day, or will demons prevail?

Red Alert is a standalone romantic thriller in the Blackwood Security series.

10 Stars for this Romantic Thriller!

This book opens with a hilarious bang and has a heartwarmingly amazing feels ending. The in between parts are action packed, hilarious at times, briefly delve into grief, and are full of love and romance.

After Tia's boyfriend dies while working for Blackwood Security, she longs for a new life and boy does Bradley deliver! Tia, coming from a wealthy family, has never had a job before, but Bradley sets her up in a new city (New York City, of course!) with a new apartment and a new job as a fashion intern to an over-the-top, famous fashion designer who you can't help but adore. Ishmael creates over-the-top fashion while running his life and on confetti and rainbows that burst out of the pages and into your mind.

Tia’s new love interests (yes, plural) are guys you'd want to have to choose between. Cade is in NYC and is a typical Blackwood Security adonis-like alpha-male. Eli is a guy she met on an online dating website she visited while tipsy, to mess with a bitchy co-worker. Will Tia find love a second time? Will she last in the fast-paced fashion industry with eccentric Ishmael at the helm? When Tia gets herself into yet another sticky situation, she once again needs Emmy’s help, my absolute favorite character of the Blackwood Security Series!

I've read this book three times already and can't wait to read it a fourth time. Elise Noble has done it again! This book is fun, funny, funky, exciting, exhilarating, and hard to put down!

Even though it is part of the Blackwood Security series, it can be read as a standalone romantic thriller. I hope this series never ends! You’ll want to read the rest of the series after reading Red Alert to get to know the Blackwood Security characters better!!! NO Cliffhanger and a HEA! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK! I’d give it 10 stars if I could! :)

In the beginning of the book I joined Tia Caine as she coped with her life after Ryan died so violently. I was so stricken by the emotion of the book. I could feel what she was feeling. I was saddened for her. Tia's journey after Ryan's death wasn't an easy one. This book was full of ups and downs. The lows were bottomless pits and the highs were like mount Everest. Once Tia got to New York, I cracked up laughing with Bradley, Ishmael, and all their antics. I gagged at the corpses then found myself googling(against my better judgement)plastification, complete and utterly fascinated and entranced. My brain and emotions were in total sensory overload with this book and I loved every gritty second of it. This wasn't the easiest book to read. But it was a complete and total masterpiece. Elise Noble ripped every single emotion out of me. I had absolutely no choice but to feel. This book was a poignant, spellbinding work of art that you absolutely MUST READ!!!!! I voluntary reviewed an ARC in exchange for an honest review but my thoughts, emotions, and opinions are my own.

Red Alert

This standalone addition to the series is Tia's story. Tia was introduced in book one as Luke's bratty little sister. Even though Emmy and Luke didn't last, Luke ended up with Mack, and Tia and Emmy remained close. Now Tia is nineteen and in mourning for Ryan, her boyfriend of two years who was killed on an op in Russia. After a couple of months of drunk Tia, Bradley takes things in hand and sets up a job for her with top fashion designer Ishmael in NYC.

Tia has made it through the holidays, barely, and is ready for a change. The job is something she wants to do, but she quickly learns what a cutthroat business the fashion industry is. And how eccentric her new boss can be. At least she's made some friends, but after a couple of drunk calls to Emmy for help getting home from the bar, Tia is assigned a babysitter, Cade, a Blackwood agent from the NY office. Meanwhile, Tia has been busy in a chat room her co-worker frequents, and it's there she meets wellred, a man with a golden voice. Now Tia has an uncomfortable dilemma with her attraction to two very different men, one that's coming much too soon after losing Ryan.

Red Alert meets code red

Author Elise Noble continues to entertain readers with her Blackwood series of books. This title, Red Alert is probably one of the less bloodthirsting of the series but still great reading. This story revolves around Tia, whom we first met way back in the very beginning in Pitch Black, but has increasingly been mentioned throughout various other titles. Feeling lost, having lost her first love in a disastrous mission we finally get to see what Tia is going through and how the Blackwood team truly are family.
We also get to meet another character of fashion designer Ishmael, who is a true masterpiece of a character. I found a lot of great humour revolved around him and his work ethics. Mix in a lot of hot athletic male bodies and your set for some great times. Then of course not one incredible female assassin but two and exciting times really are in store for the reader.

Great story alert!

After the devastating news that boyfriend Ryan was killed on a mission in Russia, Tia moves to New York to work for a flamboyant fashion designer, thanks to Bradley's connections. She needs to get away and start life over without Ryan and finds herself attracted to not one man but two. It wouldn't be a Blackwood security novel without some kind of drama, action and adventure, not to mention romance and some humour thrown in at the appropriate moments. This book in the Blackwood Security series was no exception.
Once again, Elise Noble is a master wordsmith bringing her characters to life on the page, and reading her books in one sitting is becoming the norm. I am a huge fan of this author and will happily read anything she writes! Highly recommended reading if you love fast paced action and romantic thrillers with some wicked humour thrown in. Better still, read all of the Blackwood series and become as hooked as I am.

Another Blackwood romance with all the usual excitement

No plot spoilers
There are a couple of potential triggers, specifically relating to attempted rape.
I've had a soft spot for Tia since the first Blackwood book and it was really nice to see her own journey.
The book is full of the usual suspects and as ever from Elise Noble the characterisation is outstanding. The plotline is quite engaging and ensures you keep turning the pages.
There are a couple of light sex scenes and some swearing.
It's a romance Blackwood style and if you like your romance with a twist of action and strong women then I don't hesitate in recommending the series but to obtain the best reading experience you would be best reading in order of publication.

five stars ... and then some.

Emmy, Bradley, and the swoon worthy Blackwood men. What's not to love? Add in Ishmael and a man whose voice is sex-on-the-spot, his heart is genuine and he can cook. TOTAL SCORE :)
In truth, Tia has never been one of my favorite characters - she's spoiled, selfish and flighty. I wasn't sure I would like this novel since it was about her - but I had to change my mind when she grew up. I love all the books in the series, and each one gets better and better...

Yet another fantastic edition to the Blackwood series. This has to be one of myfavourites! I couldn't put it down, read it in one night because I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. Not as dark as some of the books, even found myself laughing hard at some parts, but it still leaves you guessing what will happen next. Was great to see all of the Blackwood characters come together in one book along with some new ones. Looking forward to see what Elise has install for Cade in the future.

This is different to the rest of Blackwood series... we can't expect Tia to be thrown into a war zone... but nonetheless, there is some action, and of course romance and humor. I enjoyed this book, and especially appreciated the way Tia has grown as a character, from the spoilt girl she was in Pitch Black. I would suggest reading this book after Ultraviolet because it has spoilers in it, but it would be fine as a standalone too. Thanks Elise for another great book !

Tia's a gentle soul who found the match in Eli after being so loss because of her first love. Follow her journey how she find peace with her and loss . More trills with her boss Ishmael who is good friend of Bradley. and how she learn to heal and find second chance in Love when she allow herself that privilege .

Another awesome book in this series. I’m addicted to these books. Once I start I can’t stop. This was no different. Altho this isn’t t set completely in Blackwood territory it starts off in New York and then we get our regular cast of favourite characters join in. Loved Tía’s story. Can’t wait for the next book

I'm an Elise Noble fan. Red Alert shared the emotional healing of Tia after the loss of Luke. Once again Elise used humor and intrigue to develop her characters and plot.

Interesting

One word for this book is interesting. Her new boss is quirky, she meets a stranger online and her family is a bunch of assassins. It was fun, action packed and hot all wrapped into one.

Life continues

Another great read by one of my favorite authors. Although this book is not as edgy as her other books, I still couldn't put it down. This book shows how life continues after loss and sometimes is even better.

This is the continuing story of Tia and how she pulls her life back together. But as always with anyone connected to Blackwood Security, it's not exactly a piece of cake. Fashion shows, Chat rooms, bodyguards, Pop singers, Explosions, Death and Love are all involved. Great story.

I wasn't looking forward to Tia's story as I felt it would be predictable and she was too young but I was pleasantly surprised. The twists were still there with some disappotments but overall a happy ever after

This book was fun and I loved the two men described in Tia’s as she learns to survive Ryan’s death. While Cade her babysitter in NYC does his best to grab her full attention she begins an online friendship in a chat room with the gentle Eli who successfully lured her when things take on a dramatic turn. Good simple read

Good

I did like the book but on a scale of 1-10 it rated about a 7. The story in my opinion was not as good as the other books. There were some great laugh out loud moments

A much gentler and wackier story line. Wacky because theres not only Bradley but Ishmael too to contend with.... Too much for me at first, but then things change and became clearer, and I settled down! I must admit around Chapter 6 I was getting abit zoned out with all the antics, thankfully Ishmael calmed down considerably and Bradly wasn't in the picture much. Easier to deal with. A few twists and turns, nothing too dramatic or that couldn't be sorted within a chapter. Tia meets Eli - its a gentle but quite a fast moving romance. After the fast pace and adventures in the other novels in this series, I suppose it came time to slow things down a bit and take a breather. - mainly as Tia is only 19.
