I found this workbook clear, accessible, and easy to follow. I was encouraged by the sophistication of each exercise's results. I appreciated the author's choice of a project with social and environmental value for the exercises and that each exercise built on those prior to it. I haven't yet gone back to use it as a reference, so I'm not sure how accessible/ useful it will be that way and that may impact my review in the future. As of now, I recommend it to anyone new to GIS.

I really enjoyed walking through this book and the exercises in ArcMap. Its a great introduction to GIS and becoming more familiar with the software. I even found myself becoming invested in the "project".
