Going Deep

Rate this book
I go deep on – and off – the field.
Who says no to a steamy sack session? I’ve had more than my fair share.

But no one was better than Courtney Hart.

Blonde.

Legs for days.

Wild between the sheets.

I left her behind years ago, but now I’m home, and she’s hot as ever.

I want her, and I get what I want. But Courtney’s made it clear:

She’s not interested.

Because I left her once and might do it again.

She wants me out of her life.

But I can’t go.

She has a daughter.

Courtney says she’s not mine. I’m not so sure.

And I won’t leave until I know the truth.

Highly emotional, heart pounding and sexy sweet second chance romance reuniting high school sweethearts (one of my favorite kinds of couples) Entertaining yet very true to life romantic journey.

Ryan is a strong, sexy and athletic alpha male with a vulnerable side. Courtney is a sassy, sweet and strongly independent single mother that has been burned by love and more specifically Ryan.

No Break-up is ever easy, but the words you say while doing it can last a lifetime. Will Mac regret the words he says when he suddenly comes back home to Serenity? Will the past come back to bite him in the a$$ or will it work out in the end? You really need to read this book, and if you haven't read any of the other books, What are you waiting for, brilliant writer and always keeps you coming back for more.

Awesome

I read the first chapters in the news letter and had to read the rest. Riveting from beginning to that end. Courtney's words to Ryan proved too be very true. Hot never realize what you have until you lose it or throw it away and look back

I purchased Going Deep by SJ Bishop in October 2017 and this review was given freely.
Bad boy, playboy womanizer, and football player Ryan, who we met in Kick Off, does what he promised Courtney he would never do. This second chance at love secret baby romance has Ryan returning to his home town and reconnecting with his high school girlfriend. A bad boy reformed, a rocky romance with a happy ending, and the inclusion of prior Baller couples make this a well round and interesting novel.

Cute, quick read. I loved that Courtney’s daughters name also happens to be my middle name.
Its amazing how 10 years and life experiences can change a person. Ryan thought he was doing the right thing by leaving Courtney after graduation. Knowing he was going away to school and planned on going pro and never planned on returning to Serenity. When his high school coach passes away he returns to his home town. Not expecting to run into Courtney let alone find out that she has a daughter.

Little too succinct

It was too succinct to feel into it. Much too much wrapped up so fast and easy. Just didn't grip me. The lead up took forever and then it was like an insta-fix situation. After the big reveal there needed to be more meat to the story. Just had too little to feel engaging.

Good Second Chance Romance

The first book in this series was not to my liking. However, this book was enjoyable. I liked the chemistry between Courtney and Ryan. This was pretty light on the angst and is a fairly short read. Recommended.

I love second chance romances

SJ has done it again. I will always voluntarily read her books.

Ryan was wrong for dumping Courtney after they had sex. He could of done it before and not make het feel like crap afterwards breaking all the promises they made together. He swore he was never coming back to Serenity but after the coach who was there for him passes he returns. Seeing Courtney again opened up a box he thought was forever closed.

Courtney on the other hand isn't thrilled because she has a secret that she knows the longer Ryan stays the likelihood of it being revealed. When she's told by her sister that they need investors to branch out, Ryan offers to help. She turns him down.

Ryan has a few tricks up his sleeve and when the secret is revealed he proves to Courtney that promises can come true.
