I received a copy of Bewitching Hannah in exchange for my honest review on the Bewitching Hannah book tour.
Bewitching Hannah follows Hannah who has just lost her parents and is going to live with her Aunt. Through self-discovery, Hannah learns about who she is as a witch. But with a prophecy lingering, will she be able to figure it out in time?
This book is a great fantasy read with great characters. The action scenes provided the best mix of action and suspense. I enjoyed the flow of the writing, and can’t wait to read more by Leigh Goff.

Bewitching Hannah is a page turner about 16-year-old Hannah. It tells an amazing tale of how her life changes, challenges she faces, and survival. Hannah has lost both of her parents, and goes to live with her Aunt J. When she starts school, she makes new friends, and frenemies. Although dealing with these high school “mean girls” does not happen in the normal fashion.

Hannah has spent her entire life trying to be ordinary. With help from her new friends, a new love, and her aunt, she comes to terms with the fact that she is anything but ordinary. She embraces who and what she is to save the ones she loves and all the people in her town.

This is a powerful tale of self-acceptance with magical elements. There are characters you grow to love, and others you grow to hate. An incredible read, one that I couldn’t put down.

I voluntarily received an early reader copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Shadowed with a constant layer of darkness, this read packs magic, tension, and the hand of fate into a read which hooks until the last page.

Hannah is a witch, although she wishes she wasn't and tries to keep the magic inside of her from surfacing. After her parents' tragic deaths, she lives with her aunt in Annapolis and is forced to take part in the coven she was born into. Hannah's attempts to deny what she is unravel as she's faced with three girls/witches, who are determined to make her life not only difficult but use any means possible to steal a so-called 'key' from her. Even if Hannah is sure she doesn't have it and wants nothing to do with it, the girls' quest for power turns into a deadly game.

I enjoyed reading this book. There's tons of magic, wonderful tension and enough twists and turns to keep one guessing until the end. Hannah isn't comfortable in her own skin, and it's a rough road before she learns to accept who she is. She's a bit snarky at times and tends to snap out exactly what she thinks, but there's a caring side to her and her moral compass keeps her actions intact. In other words, she's far from perfect but still a true heroine inside.

The idea of covens and witches living right under normal human radar comes across very naturally. The magic is intense but it slides right along with normal high school life in a smaller town. Although witches and wizards are key in the plot, other types of magic also have an influence as magic from cultures such as the Incas and even a bit of the Greek mythology is sprinkled in.

The plot moves along quick, never leaving a moment for boredom. Even the romance holds dark secrets, which keep the tension high the whole way through. I enjoyed the hesitation in the romance, but found it sometimes was a little off in the chemistry. Some of the reactions seemed a bit sudden, or lacked a little more background. Especially the first chapters were a little confusing, and it seemed as if some information was missing. But then there were hiccups even later on, at times. Still, the world and story were interesting enough to keep me engaged, and even with these little stumbles, I didn't want to set the book down.

Fans of witches, magic, slightly dark romances and hidden evil will enjoy diving into these pages and are sure to get caught up in Hannah's world.

I received a complimentary copy and enjoyed it enough to want to leave my honest thoughts.

Hannah Fitzgerald would like nothing more than to be a normal 16 year old. However, Hannah is descended from a long line of witches and the magic in her is beginning to bubble over. With both of her parents deceased, Hannah moves to Annapolis with her aunt. Annapolis is where her coven is located and has many witches as well as other people with special gifts living among the ordinaries. At school Hannah quickly makes a friend in Summer and her brother Mateo and enemies among the Queen J's, especially their leader, Emme. At her coven meeting Hannah finds out just why she is so hated amongst the J's as well as a few clues to why her parents may have died. A prophecy that foretells of two witches in of Hannah's generation, a battle and then either peace or a downfall. Hannah would prefer to hide from her magic and ignore the prophecy, but with the help of a mysterious friend, she learns to embrace the magic within her.

Bewitching Hannah is an enchanting young adult paranormal romance that eventually pulled me in with a variety of magic and great characters. The beginning had a lot of information to take in and it seemed like I had missed something and needed to catch up. However, once Hannah was in school and the other witches found her, the suspense, danger and mystery quickly ramped up. I loved that so many magical being lived under the noses of everyday people in Annapolis and that their power was tied to history and culture. I enjoyed watching Hannah grow and make decisions as she came to terms with her magic with the help of the mysterious W. W added a touch of sweet romance and a bit of a Beauty and the Beast feeling. The ending tied everything together with an exciting and twisty display of magic . Complete with witches, curses, ghosts, and shapeshifters, Bewitching Hannah is a perfect Halloween time read.

Sixteen-year-old Hannah Fitzgerald is a witch but she would rather be an ordinary girl. After the death of her parents, Sixteen-year-old Hannah Fitzgerald goes to live with her Aunt J. Hannah is a witch but she would rather be an ordinary girl. But that isn't possible for Hannah since their is a prophecy stating two of the witches in Hannah's generation will be powerful witches however one will die before her seventeenth birthday marking the beginning of the next chapter of the coven for good or evil. Hannah is one of those witches. But who is the other? Who is the mysterious W? And why does he want to help Hannah?

Overall I really enjoyed this book. Once I started reading it I could not put it down. However I did find myself getting confused at points. It felt like I was missing some background information. Almost like this book was the second book in the series which I am not sure it is. That being said, I still really enjoyed this book and would recommend it for fans of the fantasy genre and young adult literature.

Highly enjoyable read! Very exciting beginning that led to a page-turning fantasy I couldn't put down. The characters are well-developed and so is the story, which has a subtle Beauty and the Beast theme. Loved Hannah and her relationship with "W," who is scarred, yet incredibly sexy. The friction between those two--hot! There was also a lot of mystery that kept me on my toes and a huge plot twist in the end. To say the least, I was mesmerized from the first page to the last!

Potions and palindromes; grey witches and Inca warriors; love and courage – there is so much to delight the reader in this novel. It has appeal for both the adult reader and the young adult reader and for those who know Annapolis, has the added treat of being set right in this lovely, historic town. The characters are engaging. I ended the final chapter wanting to know more about Hannah and her friends and what their future might hold – hoping for a sequel!
