This book literally changed my thought process but helping me identify negative self-talk, something I wasn’t aware of when trying to conquer a goal or considering a new challenge. Very accessible. Highly recommend it.

Wire Your Brain for Confidence is both empowering and transformative a masterclass in blending science and soul. Louisa Jewell doesn’t just tell readers to “be confident”; she shows them how to cultivate it from the inside out. With warmth, research-backed insight, and practical exercises, she translates complex psychology into an accessible roadmap for courage. It’s not just a book about confidence it’s a guide to living with purpose, resilience, and self-trust in a world that constantly tests both.

An easy read for anyone who might need a little extra push to do something hard or understand why they haven’t done it yet. Nice mix between scientific research sprinkled with the author’s personal stories (didn’t realize she worked at IBM like me when I bought the book!). The exercises and summaries at the end of each section is a nice organizational trick to maximize refindability later on.

Compilation of much information. Anecdote-filled chapters conclude with self-reflective exercises.

My theme this month: be deliberate. (In response, in reflection, in general.)

Some exercises remind me of yearcompass.com.

Some good ideas, very approachable - would be a great book to reconnect with positive thoughts next time I'm spiralling in low energy, given that it's easy to read and has some solid, evidence-based points.
