About the author

Lara Vesta grew up in the deep woods of Wimer, Oregon with homesteading hippie parents. This explains her propensity toward tin bathtubs, playing outside and the sense of place that shapes her stories. She has published fiction, nonfiction and poetry in a number of venues including Oregon Humanities, Pacific Magazine, Literary Mama and The Jefferson Monthly.

Lara holds an MFA in Fiction from Pacific University, where she taught English, Writing and developed the Community Stories Civic Engagement program. She is the Creative Director of Sacred Art + Spirited Business, offering empowering education and consulting for women in all phases of life transition.
