Crazy woman from a remote location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity!), I have been writing since ... forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball - I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I'm clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.

I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don't trust anyone who doesn't drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there's your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair - both a curse and a blessing - and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can't understand me.

Yeah. I think that about sums me up.

I also write contemporary romance under the name Penny Sixsmith

EDIT (July 2018): Still love the barbecue part. And I still think that the second part of this novella is somehow wrong. Also, based on the latest book by Stylo Fantome Checking In which show (finally) what happened in Russia, I have some problems with some things happening here.
Seems very inconsistent to me.

Well, I started to read the barbecue story when the first part was published here on Goodreads. And when I found out about the Reception I was a bit surprised that the Barbecue story was included. However, I really liked that one. Even though, I expected a bit different story, probably seeing Tate and Jameson as parents or parents to be.

As for the second part. I think it hugely goes against everything that was said in the previous series. I think that could be done a bit better.

Fans of this series will love this novelette but it was just okay for me. It was a fun and steamy read, and The Kane Fun Facts at the end of this book was a satisfying treat.

4 Stars!

description

In this novelette, we are given a glimpse into the married world of Jameson Kane and Tatum O’Shea-Kane. As Jameson becomes a bit jealous about male attention Tate receives, he decides to assert his dominance by throwing a back yard barbecue for his work associates. Yes, Mr. Antisocial is having a party! During the event, Tate is on her best behavior but Jameson has a different idea about the whole situation.

“You want to know what I love?” “What?” “When you shut the fuck up.”

What transpires is true Jameson and Tate with their combustible sexual chemistry and opposite personalities that compliment their needs in every way. Getting some of Jameson’s alpha-ness is a welcome treat and he certainly hasn’t lost his touch. Of course, Tate is her old self pushing all Jameson’s buttons until he unleashes his wrath.

While Reception is a brief story, it is enjoyable being reunited with such memorable characters and experience Jameson’s brand of fun.

Sanders Excerpt- 5 Stars!

description

Sanders Dashkevich has been a fixture in Jameson’s home since he was a teen. As legal guardian, Jameson provided an education, a home and sense of belonging to Sanders. Now that Sanders is 21 years old and fulfilled his educational requirements, he is ready to move out on his own, but the impetus for his decision is unexpected.

“I’m sorry,” Jameson whispered, his arms tights around Sanders. “I should’ve … I should’ve been more careful.”

Adhering to his sense of honesty and morality, Sanders doesn’t see any other options to resolve his dilemma but it doesn’t make it any easier to leave. In anticipation of his departure, Jameson and Tate present Sanders with a gift that puts him in an unlikely position.

As much as I want to share what occurs in this Sanders excerpt, I will exercise self-restraint. However, I will say that it makes perfect sense for Sander’s character arc and I’m not surprised by it at all – and I mean that in a good way. Sanders is a rich character that offers a wide range of mystery, so while Stylo Fantome admittedly hasn’t been able to sync with his character to write a full length novel, reading this passage is satisfying but still makes you wonder what Sanders has to offer.

For those who are fans of The Kane series, I recommend!

Tatum’s fucking mouth never ceased to fucking pissing Jameson the Satan off.
And he just loved it❣️

This was an exceptional journey, full of games, Tatum and Jameson’s actions made me feel awkward sometimes. Their present to Sanders before he left for Russia was the cherry on top.

Sandy's story was BETTER!

Reception was a pretty good book. I liked getting to know more about Tate and Jameson's marriage a little bit more. However, I loved Sandy's story. LOVED IT!

Tate and Jameson didn't really change how they acted once they were officially married. They were still bossy and had the same sexual appetite. However, the little games were kind of meh. I didn't really like Rich so I didn't care about how Jameson was upset about him and his comments. However, I did enjoy that Jameson is still possessive over what is his: Tate. I also liked how she became the same about him. Their love definitely grew into something and I really enjoyed reading about that in this novella.

HOWEVER, I fucking loved Sandy's chapters. What a god damn stud muffin. They were so hot, steamy hot, and I am so glad that I got a glimpse at that. Still disappointed that he wont actually get his own book but I'll learn to live with it .. someday.

Overall, it was a good book. Kind of disappointed that they were pregnant or had a kid yet - but maybe in my dreams they will. MAYBE.

I have waited to read this and I have NO IDEA WHY!!!
I LOVE Jameson, Tate and Sanders and this novella was like super delicious icing on top of one of my most favorite series ever.
I LOVED seeing Jameson jealous.....Tate knows how to keep her Satan calm and just being back with the two of them was wonderful.
And then there is Sanders and his virginity and how it plays out....Brilliant!!!
In case you don’t know......I LOVE THIS SERIES and anytime the author wants to add more to their lives, I will NOT wait so long to read. But I will say, going through my kindle and discovering it there made me giddy for I knew my day would be all the better❤️❤️❤️❤️

Following spoilers of the end of the series, read at your own risk! I sure felt cheated and wish I had known that before wasting my time reading this bunch of crap to have such end! The author simply DESTROYED THE ALL THE SERIES AT THE END!!!! You want to know how? Check it out:

For those who have read the first three books know that at certain time the h begins to develop a very close relationship with the virgin H's bodyguard (OM/ Sanders) and that he is like a son to H. So at the end of the damn series H just allows HER MAKE SEX WITH THE OM BECAUSE ACCORDING TO HER, HE IS VERY SPECIAL AND DESERVES TO HAVE HIS FIRST TIME WITH SOME SPECIAL ALSO (IN THIS CASE HER, the h). And make no mistake! This is not just ONCE! NOT!!! OUR H RESERVES FOR BOTH (JUST FOR THE TWO - h and OM) FUCK LIKE RABBITS IN A TROPICAL PARADISE DURING ALL WEEKEND! And of course we have the whole sex scene outlined in detail on how the two were delighted with the experience! That's it my people, you read it right! That is, our H of an "alleged" alpha male has turned into a pathetic conformed CUCKOLD! If this is not the most ridiculous and disgusting way to finish a series then I don't know what it is!

this was two novellas one of a different type of Satan and Tatum and one of Sanders that lets you know why Sanders left the Kane home. SO back to book 1 .
This turned Kane into more of a protective boyfriend than the asshole we actually grew to love and lust over. This also shows Tatum's actual heart and emotion without her normal closed doors/ bottled up attitude with emotions.
I was stupid enough to fall in love with him, and he was even stupider for falling in love with me first. As hard as it is to believe, the devil can actually love somebody.
This story is one we have been waiting for. The fucked up love story we never wanted to end. This was everything I wanted in a novel.. but I was hoping for a bit more end of book #3 action.. guess I will keep waiting

Then he was kissing her, and it was still magical, and she still felt all those wonderful things she'd felt the first time they'd ever kissed.

I won't talk about the Sanders book because it was one delightful chapter that may change the way you feel about him.. and I want that to be a special gift the author gives you.

Book 5 in the The Kane Trilogy consists of two short stories. One about Jameson & Tate Kane and one about Sander.

I was left confused after reading, both stories were very contradicting to the previous books.

I was expecting an update on the Devil's spawn..
Want to know what happened? Read it!

Part of the Kane Trilogy and has to be read in order:

As always Stylo brought the goods and I was definitely satisfied!! I loved seeing Jameson, Tate and Sandy living their lives. The nostalgia hit me so hard. Everyone needs to read this series its the absolute best!!!!! It was perfect and I want more. Seeing a semi domesticated Jameson was so fun and I loved all the shenanigans Tate got him and Sanders caught up in. We also got two chapters ever written for Sandy!! Let me just say this, I saw it coming and I don't want more. It was soo good but I think a Sanders story would be too much for me.

What a horrible bummer. I wish I didn't pick this one up. I got so sucked into this series and I absolutely loved it. Then I read this. And dammit. This ruined the whole damn series for me.
The BBQ was just flub to fill the sheets and have a pissing match.
And Sanders. Sigh.....
I love Sanders. He is by far one of my favorite characters of the whole series. But this ruined it for me. Ruined the whole damn lot of them and I am pissed about it. :( :(

I hate to give this a 4 star but I had to. It was nice reading about Tate and Jameson after marriage, but honestly I'm a bit disappointing in how this turned out a bit. Possessive Jameson and reasonable Tatum are a little to no fun. I expected this to show how they will turn out as parents and I really wanted to see them as such. But what really set me off was Sanders being in love with Tatum I couldn't wrap my head around it because it seemed unreasonable to me. Also I'd say that Sanders losing his virginity to Tate is a bit crossing the friends boundaries. That's why I rated it 4-star. All in all, it was a fun read and I enjoyed reading facts about the three of them. Oh, and this should've included Ang.

Not bad. But the whole Tate and Sanders sex scene was cringe. I don't like Sanders supposedly loving Tate, just doesn't work, much more believable when it was portrayed like a Sibling relationship. To jump from him feeling nothing when he kisses her,
To him being a talented nympho was just too much! Preferred uptight Sanders, and would prefer to have seen him lose his virginity to someone decent who he was meant to be with.

Reception is another follow-up story to The Kane Trilogy. It's got Jameson, Tatum, Sanders, and a bunch of other people having a barbecue at the Kane house. Jameson Kane invited people over to his house for a barbecue. That sentence just sounds wrong. Nevertheless, he did it. Of course, Jameson had his own ulterior motives; after all, he didn't have a lobotomy since the last book.

There weren't any grand changes for the couple in this story, but Tate and Jameson make it fun even when they're doing even the most ordinary things. It was also nice to check up on them to see how the married life is going.

There were a couple of scenes that stood out. One of them was the scene where Tatum joked about something huge to get Jameson's attention, and he flipped. If the author ever writes more about them, I hope it will be about what happens when Tate drops that bomb on Jameson for real. I think it would be interesting.

The second half was Sanders' half. A couple of chapters about him moving out of Jameson's home. I've been wondering why he did that. It was disappointing to learn the three of them were no longer living together. After these chapters, I understand, but I'm still a little confused because of what I thought about his relationship with Tatum. The rest was also a little confusing, but still hot.

Now that I've finished Reception, I'm officially out of Kane stories to read. Hopefully, not for long. That story I hope the author writes would be awesome.

2.5-3 stars. This is a novella addition to the Kane trilogy. It has two short stories.

One is about a BBQ at the Kane's house. Jameson's employee Rich seems to be pursuing Tate, making comments that he is more her age and level to him. So Jameson sets up the party to prove to him that Tate is not interested in Rich. I liked this story but didn't love it. I didn't understand the point of Rich's actions. Did he really like Tate or just want to hurt Jameson? I didn't understand the take away from the story.

The second story is about Sander's losing his virginity.

Overall, this was an okay novella, but I didn't think it added anything to the Kane trilogy (and possibly took away from it some).

I so loved being back with Jameson, Tate, and Sanders! The first half of the book was standard Jameson/Tate stuff but it was so great to be back with them, I missed Satan. I just wished I’d had more time with Satan, this almost felt a bit like a tease, we just got a quick peek at him and then we were moving on. Which makes sense, this wasn’t another ‘book’ in the series, it was a little bonus novelette and I was happy to get it but I’m greedy!! Lol.

About half of this book was focused on Sanders and I totally loved it. He was a character I loved from the original series and I was so happy to get some scenes from his point of view. This was definitely an enjoyable read. If you’re looking to spend some more time with the gang pick this one up!

Loved it! I really enjoyed reading the whole barbecue scene and I freakin' LOVED how everything went down with Sanders' first time. I will ALWAYS be hoping and wishing that the author gives him his own full-length love story. I just know it would be intense and angsty and passionate and HOT. Loved the whole Kane series just like so many others ♥♥♥

Whilst always exciting to return to anything involving Jameson & Tate, this little gem gave us extra Saunders...& that was always a big wish.

Love this author & adore this series big time <3
