Savannah Hudson always looked for a surprise from her husband, Sheldon, when he returned home from his travels. It was a tradition that began at the start of their twenty-three-year-long marriage. But when her husband returned from his latest trip, Savannah finds surprises she never expected: one pretty red thong and lots of questions. But before Savannah can get answers, her husband goes into cardiac arrest. Now, as Sheldon fights for his life, Savannah struggles to put her bitterness aside. But as every female in his life becomes a suspect and Savannah finds herself questioning everything she's ever believed, a handsome doctor may be the only one that can help Savannah find the truth.

This was a very nice but very simple read. In reading this book the thought kept coming up in my mind that this simplistic read couldn't have been written by Author Victoria C. Murray, for she has truly written better. Then I read the title again and realized that she had partnered with another Author, Princess F. L. Gooden. I commend Author Murray for that...
Now I'm Not saying that this book was bad, because it wasn't, but The storyline is very predictable... This was a reminder, not a Great reminder, but simply a nice reminder. Overall in life no matter what you're going through, no matter how hard the struggle, regardless as to what things may look like, because we are children of God and his angels are always around us we must keep the faith that that thing we're dealing with will always work towards our good.
This was A nice Read ...and Having a Dr. like Dr. David would help anyone get through any difficult time.

First lines catch you..."With the bare tips of my fingers, I lifted the red thong from my husband's suitcase, slowly...". Yup. That did it. Because the first thing I said was..."What?"...Now...mind you...I'd already attended a book club chat about this book at the behest of my fellow book brat Dwon...There weren't any spoilers. Though, I did figure out the twist from being there...but it didn't spoil the book for me. I enjoyed reading it. I remember fussing at Savannah the whole entire book! What you should take away from this book is..."don't be so quick to react...everything is not what it seems...maybe...". But what would you do if you found a thong in your husband's suitcase after a business trip? You're feeling less than attractive because life has happened...then you see that. Imagine then questioning him about it...only to have him pass out from a heart attack! While he fights for his life, will you be able to concentrate? Probably not. For Savannah, everyone becomes a suspect.
This was an enjoyable read. Like I said...it's a "Christmas" novella...but that shouldn't hinder you from reading it any time of the year. Great story...
I just finished this book and it was AMAZING! Savannah's journey was just proof that our thoughts and doubts can be our own worst enemy in a time of crisis. When she finally listened to God and came to him with the right question, she was provided with clarity and restoration of her faith. And along with Dr. David's help, Savannah was given the opportunity to experience an miracle that she will never forget. This was the perfect Christmas book!
Savannah Hudson was on top of the world. She had grown twins, a devoted husband and a wonderful life. Then she opened Sheldon's suitcase and her world started to unravel. As she confronted Sheldon, he dropped to his knees in the midst of a heart attack. Would she be able to discover the truth? Would she be able to reconcile what she believed with the truth?
Victoria and Princess have penned an amazing story of faith in God. The greatest gift is LOVE and this story embodies what it means to seek love in everything. There are angels that watch over us. These angels help guide us to the truth and assist us in realizing the love we need. Such a story of faith, love and hope...we all need some today. Must read for anyone that enjoys a great romance that has been touched by The Lord.
This was a short read/listen. It was a little predictable but it was also a feel good read in my opinion. While I didn't predict the reason behind Savannah's question, we knew there was something that would come out as an explanation. I did enjoy reading as she was going through the motions of trying to deduce it herself and getting worked up in the process. Although this story had some drama, I felt more of the love story come through. I guess this could also be classified as a holiday read as well, due to the timing of when it took place. I enjoy Victoria Christopher Murray's writing in general, no complaints there. I'll definitely continue to read and support her work.
This book is a joy that will reaffirm your faith in God and remind us all that we need not fear and worry because God is in charge and is with us always. I cried at the end because I loved it so much, and if you are a fan of Victoria Christopher Murray, I'm sure you will too. I really look forward to more books by Ms. Gooden. This was a great partnership.
This book allows the reader to experience all the emotions and moods as it's principal character. It's a very good example of things not being what they seem. Sometimes the eyes do lie, to the mind and true love really do exist. Often we ask God a question and refuse his answer.
Thank you Brown Girl Publishing, Ms. Murray and Ms. Gooden for stepping out on faith and sharing your gift with us. "Touched By An Angel" brings a fresh look at how a spouse (Savannah) can let what we think bury what we know!! I enjoyed everything about this story. Looking forward to reading more from these authors!
The book was not challenging. I figured early on that the luggage had been switched. It was also revealed early in the book that Dr. David was likely an angel. The plot was weak. But, one redeeming quality of the book was it reminded us all that we each have a guardian angel.
What a wonderful read, God is awesome and this book by Victoria and Princess kept me reading. Finished @3am just could not go to sleep until I finished. Dr. David the Angel! Truly Awesome.!!!
I really enjoyed this one. It was light-hearted, entertaining and quick to read. When I had to put it down the story stayed with me until I could pick it up again to continue and I enjoyed coming back to it. It reminded me of the tv series with the same title and the relatable lessons shared in every episode. This story showed what can happen when a person is too quick to make assumptions and jump to the worst conclusions without probable cause. The conclusion wrapped everything up nicely and I was satisfied with how it was done. I look forward to reading more works from this author.
This was such a touching read. Miranda and Shelton, a loving couple who encountered an unexpected medical scare. Miscommunication before the mishap caused some unnecessary anxious thoughts to ripple through Miranda's heart. Then Dr. David appeared. Was he really a doctor or an angel. A well written story filled with a lil suspense makes a very delightful read.
Very easy to read. It always refreshing to relax with a good Christian love story. Victoria Christopher Murray has been one of my favorite Christian writers for quite awhile.
This story is so good, and it will have you crying, I Truly enjoyed this book.I was touched by an angel reading this. It let's you know there is hope, and to listen to God's voice. He is always with you.
I believe in angels - they are all around us, living, breathing and spiritual. The mind can play tricks on us. What we think sometimes is not reality. This books brings that fact out. And it also brings out the fact that we can trust and believe that God will see us through if only we listen.
It was a wonderful story of tested faith. I love the illustration of how we develop situations in our minds that aren't true. We pray to God for answers and guidance, but when He doesn't respond how we want Him to, we take matters into our own hands.
Gooooooooddddd book! Long time loves, married blessed with twins! One incident runs into another and there is turmoil! When it happens will you forget to go to HIM! Do you know HE comes to you! Well, read this story and have a refresher, reminder and reveal If you will! Amen! Amen! Amen! 🙏🏾 enjoy!
This was a nice fast paced book if you never read a Victoria Christopher Murray book wake up please you want be disappointed. I give this book 5 stars excellent to its finest.
Oh boy...I am so glad I interrupted my "to-be-read" pile to read this little gem. The story is a great illustration of 'all things working together' and of having active trust in the Lord and His plan. Of course, a vivid example of angels at work never hurts. I'm new to Princess, but I am quite familiar with how well Victoria paints a love story and this did not disappoint. Savannah and Sheldon are practically perfect, but the circumstances of a tragic event show us how imperfect a perfect relationship is...because of imperfect people. I was a little critical of Savannah throughout the book, but I am happy with the trajectory of her emotional rollercoaster.
Thank you, Princess and Victoria - look forward to more!
It has truly been a while since I've "escaped" to read a novel and I must say, this was no disappointment. It was a very short and quick read, but was captivating as I wanted to find out more about this mysterious doctor and what the outcome of this story would be. The author does a great job of keeping ones interest while sharing little nuggets and reminders about our "thought life". Great ending and I would love to meet Dr. David! (Grins)
I like she started the book with the drama and kept it going. She really did a great job to paint the picture we all might think in this situation. I really enjoyed the book. Victoria Christopher Murray writes great books. I have read her last 2 Christmas books and they have been great. I am looking forward to the next Christmas one.
