It's the inevitable meeting of the sourpusses! Garfield, the reigning cynical cat of newspapers and TV crosses paths with Grumpy Cat, the internet sensation whose scowl endeared herself to the world. Who's the most sarcastic? Well, he likes lasagna and not much else...and she doesn't even like lasagna. Can these two inhabit the same comic book mini-series, let alone the same planet? You'll find out in a trio of issues written by Mark Evanier and illustrated by Steve Uy. We'd say it's the cat's meow but neither of these cats meows.
This review is a bit biased since I am in LOVE with both of these felines. Also I have two cats that are very similar to them. One is grumpy, hates everything and the other is lazy, fat and a visual smart -. I laughed the whole 2 hour read as I waited on my appointment. It may not seem like much but the antics of theses two felines together with that cute boy Odie, made me forget the worry of where I was and what I had to face today. LOVED IT!
I understand the book is for kids. Having said that, I thought it was corny, the writing and the story. There were some cute moments. I wasn't impressed overall. I expected better.
This is a great collection of comics featuring the worlds two favourite cats. I loved the humour and action and that this truly had the Garfield comic feel to it!
Garfield and Grumpy cat together, what could be better? I love Grumpy Cat and it was so cute to see her brother Pokey included. The bonus content at the end of the comics was a great addition too.
