Campy and oversexualized, yes. Still, Vampirella remains a guilty pleasure for me.
However.
I really had to force myself to finish this one.
The plot was just wacky (-er than usual) and the storytelling was all over the place. And not at all in what I would consider a good way.
Ok, I certainly don't think of myself as any sort of expert on this character or her lore, so I always go into these comics with the mindset that I probably won't understand a lot of what's happening, simply because I lack the backstory information. <--which is not the comic's fault.

But this time around, I was not only confused 99% of the time, but I was also bored out of my mind.
This will in no way stop me from picking up more of her stuff in the future, though.
Recommended for hardcore Vampirella completionists.

A blend of horror, mystery, and action. This volume collects several arcs that delve into Vampirella's battles against a host of supernatural forces, spotlighting her as both a warrior and a detective in the murky underworld of monsters.

The stories in this omnibus are rich with thematic depth, exploring elements of betrayal, redemption, and identity. Vampirella's character is crafted with care, revealing her vulnerabilities and strengths in equal measure, which adds a compelling layer to her persona beyond the typical horror heroine archetype.

Artistically, the omnibus is a feast for the eyes. Each chapter features distinct styles from various artists, offering a dynamic visual experience that keeps the reader engaged. The use of color and shadow effectively enhances the mood, setting a tone that is both eerie and enticing.

Character development is particularly strong in this collection, with well-executed backstories and character arcs that are both intriguing and emotionally resonant. The interactions between Vampirella and the supporting cast provide depth and are often used to highlight her complex nature.

This is a essential read for fans and newcomers alike. It successfully balances action-packed sequences with introspective moments, all while maintaining the iconic allure of its lead. This volume not only entertains but also adds significant layers to the Vampirella saga.

This one really started to grow on me as I progressed through it. It isn't perfect but it feels different from a lot of the stuff I read. There are stakes and characters are not guaranteed to stick around. The art was hot or miss but when it hits, it hits. The annual at the end was the weakest part but the rest was good fun.

Just awful. The plot made little sense, the art was so-so and the story was downright boring. That the art was passable was the only reason I gave this a 2/5

Loved this one. Vampirella is such an awesome character and I thought the Vampirella/Dexter (Baxter) mashup at the end was perfect.

Meh, they've totally lost me with this one... Just too much of the same.
I'll be moving on.
