Daniel Allen had it all. He wanted for nothing. He had a beautiful wife, daughter and career. On his journey to find a missing piece of his past, Daniel changed his future. Will he be able to restore what was supposed to be? Or will his destiny be forever altered?
***The reviews for each book in this series are individual to each particular book. However, I did read all three books, in order, prior to writing the reviews.***
There was a slight disconnect for me from the end of “Another Time—Another Chance” (book one), and the beginning of “Another Time to Love” (book two). I felt as though I didn’t have a grasp of what exactly was happening at the end of book one, and that was the driving force of reading all three books in the series, before formulating my thoughts. For me, the story couldn’t be assessed without reading further.
As I ventured back into Daniel’s world, and whatever disrupted version of his life he was currently in, it was a similar ride to book one. On one hand, I was happy that Daniel’s travels back to different points in his history altered the futures of other characters who I’ve come to love in the whole of the story. Daniel gave them the chance at futures. BUT... oh my goodness—there’s a huge BUT—the cost of playing with fate brings consequences that are paid with new tragedies and no matter what Daniel does, fate has a way of setting itself as close to ‘right’ as it can.
Daniel makes a choice in the last version of his life that left my mouth gapping open, it seemed out of character for the man so determined to set things ‘right.’ BUT—then again, what he did wrong—at one point—was right. It was impossible to really predict what was around the next bend in the story, or how the time leap would play out. This one certainly leaves you wanting more. If you’re open to the possibility of tempting fate, this is a series for you!
