Essays by experts in the field explore the history, research, processes, and ethical concerns of genetic research, including the role of genes in cancer and treatment, life extension, and cloning
An in depth look at the science of genetics through articles published in The New York Times.
I found this book to be easy to read and at times entertaining. The articles provided a wealth of information without the technical jargon that weighs down the writing in the science journals. Because The Times has to service a wider more mainstream audience the writing is concise and enjoyable to read.
The latest article in this book is from 2000 so naturally it feels a bit dated. Though anyone looking to catch up on Genetic breakthroughs in the last thirty years will find that much this information is not completely out of date.
