Raised as poor orphans. Launched into greatness by God. Can they cope with life's changes and keep their home from falling apart?----------
ACCLAIMED CHRISTIAN ROMANTIC SUSPENSE SERIES

Read books 1-7 first to avoid spoilers.

----------

Ruby Towers and her husband, Captain Robert Towers, had come a long way from their days growing up at the orphanage. They could hardly believe where their lives had landed. Ruby owned a multinational delivery corporation, and Robert was, well, very powerful. Now far from their humble beginnings as orphans, it seemed the good Lord had more surprises packaged into their future than they ever dreamed. Presently, as they're raising two children-Ritz, a young lady, and Robert Junior, an infant-enduring sleepless nights with a newborn, along with managing all of life's surprises, was stretching them to the max even though their hands were as blessedly full as their hearts. Will the weariness pull them down? Or will they see the present maze of their lives through eyes of gratitude and rest in the beauty of God's purpose?

Rest by Joy Ohagwu is a contemporary novella. It is the eighth book in The New Rulebook series but can be read as a stand-alone.
Rest recaps on some of the previous action as well as setting the scene for what is to come. It is both a teaser and a reminder to the reader.
It is wonderful that the reader gets to see the family relaxing and interacting together, after all their adventures. The reader really 'sees' the human side to the characters.
A great little read which I enjoyed. I am eagerly awaiting the ninth book in the series and looking forward to the family's next adventure.
I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.

Rest is the eighth book in The New Rulebook series by Joy Ohagwu. This novella continues to follow Robert and Ruby Towers, orphans who have risen through the ranks, so to speak, and now he is taking the oath of office for President of the United States. Although earlier books in the series have been fast-paced and filled with action and suspense, this segment to their tale is just like the title suggests, a time of rest from the whirlwind of the campaign trial and celebratory inaugural activities. A time of giving readers a look at this loving and Godly family's relationships in the beginning of a new phase of their lives as well as giving a glimpse as to what is ahead with their young adult daughter in book #9, Sunshine. I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author and was not required to write a review. The opinions are my own.

The awaited for next book in the series full of suspense, surprises, and romance. Robert Towers, former police captain to President of the United States, accepts his new challenge, determined to keep his family safe.

Rest challenged my faith, and asked Where Are You? Am I on the path God has set before me? Am I where He’s called me to be? The New Rulebook Series is a must read for anyone who loves Christian suspense.

I received a free copy in the hope that I would mention/review it on my blog. I was not required to give a positive review, only my honest opinion - which I've done. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own and I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Wonderfully Written

I really enjoyed reading so far what great faith and trust in God the three couples (Robert and Ruby, Pete and Patricia, and Mike and Julie) outwardly convey in their everyday lives. Joy has done a superb job fulfilling the challenge God gave her through her writing. She has brought forth emotions with words and I feel convicted about my own relationship with our Maker. I have realized I don’t have enough conversations with Him. I want what they all have in this life and after. I hope many who read this series come to the same conclusions in finding the LOVE God has for each one of us. Be Blessed!!

The New Rulebook from Joy Ogwu is a great suspense series based on Christian principles. The story is exciting but also moving and faith building. The story makes you think about your own life, what place God and His promises have in your life and how you deal with them. The series has great characters that you get to know well. The story is very exciting and captivating until the end. Joy knows how to keep the tension in and always give it a great twist. The series is a great example of how to live the Christian life. Some fragments are so real and moving that they touch your heart deeply.

I recieved this book free from the author and I willing give a review. This is a Christian suspense novella about two orphan Robert and Ruby Towers. The have been thru many ad adventures and a lot of hard work to get where they are now. He has just been elected President of the United States and Ruby the First Lady. Ritz their daughter is 18 and wants to go on a missionary trip to Cambodia. And they have an awesome Nantes son Robert Jr. This is their period of rest before everything begins

A short story, much as its name implies, “rest”. Not a lot happening as Robert is inaugurated as President, but I suspect the stage is being set for the next novel. Ritz will be going on a missions trip to Cambodia. I appreciated Ruby putting into words that each spouse needs to support the other in becoming all that God wants them to be. I also appreciated the emphasis in missions on both service and evangelism.

I received a free copy of the novel.

President Robert Towers and First Lady Ruby Towers had come a long ways from their days of growing up at the orphanage. They and their kids, Ritz and Robert Jr. move into the White House.

The title, Rest, was very appropriate. The book was just that. It's nice reading about politics that's pure.

If you want a peaceful, Sunday afternoon read. Want to escape the corruption of politics. Then, you'll want to read this book. I loved it.

I enjoyed reading Rest. It seemed less suspenseful, but has great characters to follow. I recommend this book to anyone that wants a clean read. Robert and Ruby rises to the peak of personal power and influence. It shows the power of the preached word to bring real change. I can't wait to read about Ritz's adventure which she will betaking with Jayden. This is a wonderful series.

Shorter, but focused. Brings Robert and Ruby to the peak of personal power and influence. Continues to reflect the power of transformation through forgiveness and restoration. Shows the power of the preached word to bring real change.

A short short

This was a very short story that asked more questions than it answered. Not my favorite book in the series.

Okay book

This book seemed short and was harder for me to get into but I think it's an important set up to the next story.
