Jean Shepherd likes to muse out loud about what we say and what we do - and why we say it and why we do it. In this collection, Shep regards the thirst for holiness, victimization by myths, official discoveries known to the world for a thousand years, and visits with Og and Charlie in a story of the birth and development of music -- all while pointing out and puncturing many an over inflated balloon of thought. Four digitally restored and remastered CDs, approximate running time three hours. Includes liner notes with excerpts from the biography EXCELSIOR, YOU FATHEAD! The Art and Enigma of JEAN SHEPHERD by Eugene B. Bergmann. CD 1: Thirst For Holiness; CD 2: Scientific Plots; CD 3: Og & Charlie; CD 4: Kicks
