Finding Forever: A Crossover Novella

Rate this book
Love hasn’t been on Hannah’s side for a long time, but meeting Chance Evans changed all that. Kind of. Chance is the first guy she’s dated since her ex and things are good. He’s put his manwhore ways behind him and has seemingly settled down—except for a few bumps here or there—but Hannah knows that something’s going on inside that head of his. When her friends tell her about a rumor they overheard, she leaves town to think. Better safe than single, right? Or maybe she’s already single… Chance has some skeletons in his own closet that he’s worked hard to keep hidden from his friends. If he plastered a smile on his face and told a joke, no one would ever know his secrets. Or so he thought. He never expected his past to catch up with him at a school hours away from his hometown, and he sure as hell didn’t want anyone to look at him with pity. Now he has to decide if a future with Hannah is worth letting go of the memories to find their forever.

If you have read Waiting to Breathe or/and Waiting to Fall, you already know Hannah. I hoped that there would be a book about Hannah, because she was an amazing friend and I liked her a lot. I loved Finding Forever! It’s a novella, but there was still a story and emotions in this book. Hannah and Chance are amazing characters. I adored them together.

Hannah and Chance have been a couple for a while now and things have been great between them. Chance is very different than Hannah’s ex and she really loves him. Chance knows that Hannah is the one he wants to be with forever. But some things will be revealed that could ruin their relationship.

This story took me a minute to read. I had a hard time connecting with Hannah and Chance. I read the first book in the Waiting series, so I was familiar with some of the characters, but I don't remember Hannah and Chance. I guess they didn't stick out to me then. I'll definitely have to do a re-read of the first and catch the second book in the series. Saying that, I did eventually get invested in these characters' stories. It was hard not to feel for Chance after all that he has been through. Hannah was not my favorite heroine ever, but I was able to handle it. She made me a little upset early on, and I had a hard time getting past that. This was an easy quick read though with some pretty good angst. It was a great setup for the new series involving characters introduced here, and I can't wait to read that!

Good plot and characters. East to read. Wanted a little more girth to it. Sweet love story and the end made me want to read more about the other character Brooke.
