*USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR*

I was born in Montreal, Canada, at a very young age, where I still live with my spouse, Joanne, under the watchful eye of Krystalle and Midnight, two black females of the feline persuasion. In a former life, I completed my studies at McGill University and worked in various management capacities for a handful of firms for countless years. From there, considering my extensive background in human resources and finance, it was a logical leap in my career path to stay home and write crime thrillers.

My first stab at writing was actually in 1995, the result being my first novel, "Vigilante". Two others of the same series followed by 1997 but all three remained dormant until publication in 2009. Since, besides writing a stand-alone, five other thrillers have joined the VIGILANTE series. I also penned "Something's Cooking", a faux-erotica parody and cookbook under the pseudonyms Réal E. Hotte and Dasha Sugah. I'm currently working on "See You in Saigon" and "The First Sixteen", two further installments of my series. I have to say, I'm enjoying this writing gig.

Other interests besides writing and subtly persuading people to buy my books include reading, making noise with my six guitars, painting (oil and watercolour), cooking (year round though I love the grill in the summer), traveling and planning to work out soon. I've also been known to sleep on occasion.

You can visit my website at claudebouchardbooks.com which is almost as fun as DisneyLand and absolutely free.

An Up to Date Vigilante Thriller In which Author Bouchard Continues to Entertain Us

A terrorist attack happens in Canada, Discreet Activities is tasked by the Prime Minister to end the terrorists and attacks.
This Team is fun to read about as they go about their business. Using all types of disguises and weapons, the Vigilante in us all loves seeing order restored while the people performing despicable acts are removed!!

Claude Bouchard, has done it again! “Make It Happen” is book 13 in the Vigilante series and it met all the criteria I have come to expect from this Canadian author. I have enjoyed all the adventures of Chris Barry (who was the original lone “Vigilante”) and those who have become partners in the Discreet Activities team as the series has progressed.

This novel is centered around Pakistani led terrorist activity spawned in Canada and spreading out, across the border to New York. When the Canadian attack happened at the Quite Air Show, it caught everyone by surprise. Who could have done such a thing in CANADA? Of course this is fiction, but as I read, it reminded me that people we think we know—people we would least expect, can be seduced evil. There was no huge terrorist cell—just a few who were willing to participate and beyond the central figures, none of them knew the identities of those involved.

The central players were willing to take the lives of others, but they wanted to protect their own. Who could they trust among the people that knew enough to betray them? A preemptive act of black mail sets the stage. Enter the Discreet Activities team and watch how they set up the players who never expect to be exposed. Then, they Make It Happen!

In real life, I am an abject pacifist—a person who could never bring myself to act in the role of a vigilante. But I do confess, as I see some of the despicable things that happen in this world, there are times that I secretly wish, that somewhere, there was a Discreet Activities team to covertly dispose of the trash that preys on innocents.

This stunning cover would have caught my even if I wasn’t familiar with the author. Good Job Claude Bouchard!! I am waiting for the next book.

The thirteenth book in the series. There's nothing unlucky about this number thirteen.

The war on terror rages on and this time it's coming home in a very violent and deadly way.

After one of the deadliest attacks on Canadian soil, the Prime Minister is taking the gloves off. Discreet Activities, a secret government black ops-team, has been tasked with finding those responsible and bringing them to justice. Justice wears many faces. This case will be one of the toughest they've faced yet. As talented as they are even they have their limits and aren't afraid to call in outside resources.

Discreet Activities is made up of a group of unique individuals, each with their own set of skills. While the story has evolved over the thirteen books and the cast grown, the core of the series is built around Chris Barry, Dave McCall, and their wives.

Chris Barry started out this series running a security firm specializing in computers. Chris also has a very secret side endeavor. Doling out vigilante justice when others can't or won't. Given his wealth, it affords him cover and assets to be the final Judge, Jury, and Executioner for those evil men and women that prey on the innocent. You'd be forgiven for thinking that Chris would make sure to keep these two sides of his life separate but you would be incorrect. Mrs. Barry is not only in on his secret side life, she supports him. She's no wilting flower and as time goes her role expands along with each new face added to the cast.

Dave McCall is a Luietenant and head of Montreal's Special Homicide Task Force at the start of the series. He calls Chris in on a case unknowingly inviting the fox into the hen house. That first case will change both their lives in ways neither could imagine.

This story brings home the all too real issue in today's world of blended terrorism where we have attacks involving both international and domestic terrorists. A subject both feared and expected in Western civilizations today.

The general storyline and characters are well established in the series so by the time you get to this book you'll have the basic idea. Personally, I think the cast could stand to shrink but that's just my opinion.

The plot is obviously scary and the way Mr. Bouchard lays out the events makes it even worse. The plausibility of the events is sure to make you think. The pictures painted only reinforce the need for us to be aware and vigilant because there are people in this world who believe so strongly that their way is the right one, that they are willing to sacrifice themselves and as many of us as possible. All the books in the series have thought-provoking storylines but this book hits close to home in today's world.

I've been an avid fan of Mr. Bouchards since the day I found his books. He's very active on social media and very engaging to fans. I recommend his books often and think that they're almost required reading for the vigilante genre.

This was an interesting book but I think I would have enjoyed it more had I known more about the characters. I purchased it as a standalone - and it very well could be but there is no background to any of the characters so you don't feel any real connection to them. The story itself is really good but I would have enjoyed it soooo much more if I had known more about the characters. While I would recommend the book, I would also recommend that you read the first books in the series so you can learn more about each of the characters and their backgrounds so you can feel more invested in the story.

Claude Bouchard and his Vigilante series are like good wines, they keep getting better and better but the problem is the reader like me who do not know how to drink(read) and read it in one shot! Or the nottle(book) is too small! Very wheel done again with his DA team who let us just thinking what could they have done to these evils.... Thanks to the author for sharing his talent with us!

We have been waiting a bit for this one, but it sure was worth it! The terrorist have a fool proog plan to create chaos in Canada. And they have the perfect leader to pull it off. They hadn't met Chris and Jonathan along with the rest of the team, but that was about to change. Loaded with the kind of action you have come to expect in this series.

Suspense out of Canada where an Islamic radical group bombs an air show with many causalities. The Prime Minister calls on secret black ops team to track down the person responsible and preventing any future attacks. Eventually escalates to a joint effort with US operatives as evidence is uncovered.

Never dull!

This series is non-stop action from start to finish, you never know what’s going to happen. It sometimes appears as though the good guys are losing, but then BAM!
