A young mage and a band of knights journey across the land to certain death, meeting a mysterious stranger, Lance, along the way. As Merlin fights to protect his friends and fulfill his destiny as the destroyer of darkness, he struggles with his growing feeling for Lance, and finds himself torn between duty and his feelings. But when a mysterious power grows inside of Lance, the pair find themselves forced together just to survive.
Can Merlin ascend to wizardhood, or will his lifelong quest come to a dark end?
Another one struck from the TBR. Short with a lot of white space between paragraphs, also felt like it was most dialogue. The characters were alright, I liked how Tristan gave his energy whilst Merlin slept. Didn't like his attitude towards Lance. Pretty straight forward quest to defeat the dark lord.

The name Merlin evokes visions of knights in shining armor, King Arthur, and Camelot. Emrys Apollo skirts these memes by using familiar sounding names for his characters without placing them directly into the Arthurian landscape.
THE WIZARD MERLIN is a story of heroism, a quest, and love in a dangerous and supernatural setting. I enjoyed the story and the writing and expect I will be reading more from this author.
