This is a story about a second chance relationship of a love that was once broken but never forgotten.
As this is a spin-off of the Heart of Stone trilogy, we already know Gage and Jordan from there. Thinking he was doing the right thing to protect her from harm and maybe even death, Gage was bound to let her go and never see her again. That left Jordan a mess... she was heartbroken, unable to be happy without him and hurt from the way he broke things off with her. After months of unhappiness she meets Brock, a wealthy man able to make her happy and starts dating him and when Brock proposes to her she says yes. Now, days before her engagement party Gage comes back into her life determinant to have her back even when the threats continue.

This is their story. A story of a unforgettable love, with a plot full of suspense, danger, hot scenes and a strong sassy female who doesn't break that easy.
As usual, KM Scott writing is the best. She capture our attention since the beginning if the book until the last page, leaving us wanting more!! This is a great story! Loved it!
Oh how I love the Heart of Stone series. I remember the early days for Gage and Jordan. Then one day Jordan is heart broken. No explanations, Gage leaves Jordan. So fast forward a few months later and here we are with Return to Me. THIS BOOK! GAH..gave me all the feels, the angst, and the unknowns. I wanted to be with Deryl and play detective!!! This book will have you begging for more!
I have to admit, it stung that Jordan was engaged to another man, Brock. I felt like she gave up too easy. Then I got further into the book and found the reasons that made her go in this new direction in her life, that is until Gage shows back up.
There is a few questions I have in the back of my mind about what is coming up next. I am going to try hard to do this without any spoilers, so bare with me. What is Jordan's role with marriage truly about? Anyone that read this book wonder why Jordan's mom panicked a bit when she asked for her birth certificate? Lastly, why do I have a feeling by signing a blank piece of paper is going to bring Gage and Jordan more trouble? I hated the secrets going on and it made the emotions get real and intense. But then again, this is part of the Heart of Stone series which means you get raw and real.
I was happy that Nina and Tristan made an appearance! Gage and Jordan show us the chemistry that never died. They love each other so much that it made my heart gooey. I really can not wait to see what the next book will bring us. I am just sad that I have not read this book until recently. I missed these characters so much!
What do you do when the love of your life, your soul mate, just up and decides that the two of you are not working out? What do you do when he walks off and doesn't even look back, as if he never cared to begin with? This is what Gage Varo did to Jordan Wright, and to say it hurt her is putting it mildly. Jordan has no way of knowing that the last thing Gage wanted to do, was the only thing that he could do. He never stopped caring, he never stopped loving her, and he always waited to find out if she would move on without him. Moving on, is the only option that Jordan has, so she takes it, refusing to admit to herself that she still loves Gage and probably always will. I have always heard that all that glitters is not gold, and this is certainly the case with Brock, the man that Jordan plans to marry. Bad decisions have landed Jordan in a whole lot of trouble, can Gage convince her of his love and that the feelings he has toward Brock are not just jealousy? OMG I need the second book now!! If you love a romance that is loaded with passion, suspense, drama, and intrigue, then this is the book for you. I also have to say that it was so great to have Nina & Tristan in this book, I absolutely loved their story, and although you don't have to read The Heart Of Stone series in order to enjoy this book, it will give you a deeper understanding of the characters, if you have read it. Kudos to K.M. Scott, I want my own Gage and the undying kind of love that he has for Jordan.
OMG! Second chance romances are my kryptonite. I am such a sucker for these storylines and this one is written absolutely beautifully. I love Gage and Jordan and my heart breaks for their story.
I really wanted to see them working things out throughout the whole story. I know that it is frustrating, but I actually liked that Jordan doesn't automatically bend and give in. I love that she is a strong character and has some fight in her.
Gage I adore from the Heart of Stone trilogy and was so excited to learn he would get his own books. He is so sweet and caring and I felt really bad for him and everything he has had to endure.
I thought these two had amazing chemistry and their connection was their from the beginning. While Tristan and Nina are still my favorite couple, Gage and Jordan definitely give them a run for their money.
Even without a cliffhanger, I am so interested to see where this story goes.
Love the continuation of the Stone series. This time it is Gage and Jordan. We were introduced to them in the prior Heart of Stone books. Jordan finally thought she has found her happily ever after but when Gage leaves town on a protection job they break up. Why?? Gage is getting mysterious warnings concerning Jordan's safety and something involving his past. He feels he has no choice but that doesn't stop his feelings for her. Jordan meets Brock , a wealthy businessman, that she feels can give her the live she so desires. She loves him but not as strongly as she loved Gage. Gage comes back to town and he wants to explain everything to Jordan, when does he attempt this??? At her engagement party. The connection is still there, those closest to Jordan don't trust her newly minted fiance. So what is going on?? Can't wait to see how this story ends.
I liked Gage and Jordan from previous books. I liked how Return to Me is setup. I actually got suspense in this story. I could feel the attraction between Gage and Jordan. I didn't find much steam or romance. My biggest complaint is it is very slow moving. I read in Heart of Stone Volume Two (Heart of Stone, #3.5, #3.6, #6, #7.
Good read. I thought Jordan was just in an abusive relationship at first. Which touched home for me. But, then I continued reading and saw it wasn't the case. I cannot wait to figure out what is going on in the next book and what will happen with her and Gage.
