The Black Sphinx

Rate this book
Set in an alternative Britain where London is only a village, this is a fast and furious fantasy filled with imaginative detail. The spooky hieroglyphic illustrations add real drama and, with plenty of humour, it adds up to a very accessible story for readers aged 9 and above.

A really interesting and intriguing book! The story could have been quite complicated with so many characters but the author did a really good job in keeping it simple and understandable! The scenes were changing but it was really easy to connect them! Crispin was a really innocent character while I hated Jasper who was full of arrogance and corruption! Callisto was really appealing and Aril was nice too! :)

A little confusing at the start but you get the hang of it on like chapter 2(for me)
