HOT! HOT! HOT! I just finished the Watchers Crew Series and I am a changed woman. These books are equal to the 50 Shades of Grey experience for me! I loved them all and the different dynamics presented with each character/book. I thought book #2 was a show-stopper until I made it to book #3 and #4. I finished the last book with a sigh of sadness because the I know the level of passion & loyalty exhibited by these men is fantasy BUT I don't want it to be. Now I have to go be mad at my significant other because he is not them! LOL

This author left no stone unturned intimately. Did I mention the diversity of this series? white, black, brown, spanish, tr-racial, and especially Asian! YES!!

'Test Drive' is book one in Ines Johnson's new series "Watchers Crew" and believe me when I say to you, this book is not for the faint of heart. This is not a hearts and roses romance. It's raw and gritty, blatant, and in your face. I wish there had been a bit more character development so I could feel somewhat of a connection. I'm not sure what I expected but I don't think this was it.

Absolutely loved this book. It finished so quick 😭 happy there’s another 3 in the series and happy that all the books will intertwine. Felt like the book was set over 1/2 weeks hence why it went so fast 😂. But overall loved it!!

Quick sexy time read

I received an ARC from BookSprout and am leaving my review voluntarily. This is book one in a series. (If the story seems familiar, it was originally published in 2015 using the name Marie Louis.)

Triggers: story is not a reverse harem - this is a multiple partner with no commitments and involving orgy parties (they do use condoms but wipe off between switching partners), cheating, the use of the "c" word and calling the main female "sweet meat"

Spoilers:
I love reverse harem and menage storylines. This book is not either.

It starts with Ellie, super smart girl who is a senior in college and a virgin. She has a boyfriend. She uses bug metaphors to describe her sexual exploration.

Hawke, Eagle, Owl and Crow. Four guys with different ethnicities. They are not interested in dating just how many girls they can have sexy time with. They like watching each other and passing girls between them.

I actually didn't mind the guys as they were upfront and unapologetic about who they are and what they want. Ellie was annoying.

Quick read. LOTS and LOTS of sexy time.
Book 2 is about Ellie's "friend" Shakira and Owl. Owl decides to give monogamy a try and Shakira doesn't seem like she wants to be shared. (and by monogamy, I mean just actual sexy time with Shakira - he is still into watching others and being watched while he indulges plus touching Ellie while giving her a bath doesn't count apparently)

If this series wasn't your thing, the author does have several books in the (Vampire) Midnight Doms multi author series. Very good reads with actual romance and HEA.

I didn't know I was missing 4 sexy street racers in my life until I read this. All 4 male protagonists are nuanced and sexy alpha males who know what they want and aren't afraid to pursue it. N.S. Johnson writes incredibly hot sex scenes that leave the reader wanting more, and more, and more! Ellie is the perfect good girl discovering her inner sexual being. She's her own person who has wants and desires that are separate from the MMC and she doesn't give them up to get him.

There is a lot of awesome in this story. I enjoyed the subversion of the "Bad Boy with a TROUBLED PAST!!! (tm) trope. Hawk made the choice to be who he is and he owns it. That's honestly sexier than a broken boy hiding under an alpha wolf facade. I especially apprecated that consent was solicited and reinforced multiple times over the course of the story. And verbal consent was stressed, and what is hotter than that? I appreciated that both safe sex and aftercare were stressed and acknowledged. It's something regularly forgotten in erotic romance/fiction.

The ending was satisfying and in line with the characters. I'd definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a good bedtime read.

This book is about Ellie. She's twenty and a virgin and her life is all about studying bugs and their habits. When she gives a friend a ride to the wrong side of town she meets four hot guys who have their sights set on her. Hawk, Eagle, Crow and Owl all like sex and they like to share with each other. They're the Watchers Crew. Ellie begins to experience her sexuality with these four hot men but she's particularly interested in Hawk. She wonders if she can live a life where she has to share him but she also loves being shared with the other Watchers. Will she go with the wild bad boys that she never dreamed of or will she stay with her proper and familiar boyfriend?

This book was hot! I love how Ellie is a shy virgin but when she discovers that sex can be awesome with these guys she's all in and willing to try almost anything. I liked the relationship with all the Watchers and that they all cared for Ellie in their own way but that they realized that Hawk was staking a claim. She may be Watchers tail but she's Hawk's first. I like the sharing aspect of the story that Hawk is willing to let Ellie be with the other guys because they give her something he doesn't. Eagle is so stern, Crow is playful and Owl is quiet and serious. Can't wait to read their books.

Public sex, voyeurism, multiple partners and plenty of double entendres made this story a kindle melting read. Seeing Elle’s journey from a studious, bug obsessed virgin into a confident, open minded, adventurous woman who embraced her sexuality was inspiring and arousing. I just love reading about the unassuming, conservative women who bring the big, bad alpha men to their knees!!
I couldn’t put this book down until the end, and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. This is a standalone story, but the rest of the characters in the Watcher’s Crew are so compelling that you will want to see them find the women who will tame their wild, fast moving, free-wheeling lives with love.

Ellie didn't know it but she was in for the ride of her life. She was a shy and retiring girl into her bug studies. On a deserted street the watcher crew stops to help her with her crew. Hawk is kind of an anti-hero. He exacts an unexpected payment that has Ellie shaken to her roots. The watcher crew is a group of outstanding mechanics and street racers who have multiple partner parties. Ellie is surprising because you would think that she would get angry or hurt over their policy of sharing girls. Instead Ellie seems to embrace this new adventure, she understands the hive mentality. Some how, some way she works her way into Hawk's heart. This is a very hot and steamy read.

Raw, Basic and Delicious!!

The guys of Watchers Crew are street racers and auto mechanics who share their women. When sheltered Ellie ends up stranded and in need of a tire change, they are forward yet gallant and fix up her car for a price; a kiss. When she later attends their party, her eyes are opened to a whole different lifestyle.

They may be rough but they treat her carefully and she cannot stay away. One of the most erotic stories I have ever read.

How can giving someone a lift and taking a wrong turn, turn into such a fantasy? Easy, Ellie meets the Watcher crew and their brand of giving assistance begins. Will Ellie leave the safe relationship she has with her boyfriend or will she jump on for the ride of her life and enjoy the experiences the watcher crew promise to give her. The wall flower has stepped away from the wall of innocence, what will she do?

I don’t think these characters where believable.
Ellie needs a little more self-respect. It just wasn’t believable that the sex with Hawk was so good that she was willing to share him with other women. Especially when he had other women in front of her. No man is worth that. The sex scenes were erotic and sensual. But Ellie was okay with letting the other men take her even though it’s Hawk she really likes. She even wanted her friend’s man. These two need therapy. So much potential, but not achieved. Hawk is a super hot street racer who is a major player and has no intention of settling for one. Ellie wants to find to the intense passion and the one, but has never had it or even done it. I just thought his personality and needs just rolled over her. He did what he wanted, with whoever he wanted, and he was happy wit that life. The ending was a kind of happy for now, but I hope these two can find their HEA together. This book just left me wanting more.

I liked the book. I wish I could be like Ellie and of course we have the lead male who at times I liked and other not so much but at the end I have to say I liked him. I liked the scenes, and I liked the story, it is a nice change and it got my attention. Sometimes I want a hot story and this checked all my boxes. It was entertaining and I am glad I had the chance to read it. I am looking forward to reading about others in the Watcher's Crew.

The "first kiss" was probably one of the hottest scenes I've ever read. The fantasy of belonging to a group of sexy guys who would make sure I was satisfied every time is just about the hottest concept I could imagine. It's not your typical devotion type romance novel and that is explained in the synopsis If you read this with no concept that it's poly shame on you. Great poly story!!

Knocked this one out in a couple of hours. It was a page turner with some very hawt scenes! Can't say that I could be like Ellie, but it might be fun to try. Loved Hawk, the gigantic alpha hole! I knew he would see his way through in the end. I have a feeling the whole of the Watcher Crew will fall like dominoes.

6 chapters in and I just couldn’t go any further. Can’t say much without spoilers, but the first encounter of the H and h, was so unrealistic and disrespectful, by the end of that chapter, I knew I couldn’t read more of this book.

I understand that the author specializes in erotica and fantasy, but this was borderline virgin porn with an audience. Just too much for me.

Have a fan handy as this is a steamy hot read. This is not a ‘pretty flowers and cherubs‘ romance but a gritty sexual awakening with a reverse harem, The only drawback for me was that Hawk was inspired by Vin Diesel’s character in the Fast and Furious movie franchise. I personally do not find Vin Diesel attractive so I did not feel the appeal.

I give this one 4 1/2⭐️. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I will be frank and say it is mostly sex (and it is soooooo goooood), BUT it is also very much a young woman figuring out what she wants from life. I especially like all the insect references. I think her area of study really does help her understand what is going on better and accept it.

Ellie’s a good girl. Hawk and his crew (Eagle, Crow and Owl) are the very definition of Bad boys. ;) I really enjoyed the juxtaposition of entomology and the non-monogamy of insects with Ellie’s relationship with the Watchers. Plenty of steamy scenes for my reading enjoyment, and non-traditional views on relationships didn’t bother me one bit.
