Sigh...DNF. I was looking forward to this one, but nope. They are mates, and she has heard him having sex with OW over the years and apparently, he has slept with every female wolf in a 1000 mile radius...what a bummer. I probably could have handled him being an uber slut, but her hearing it...no can do in a mate story.

Every female wolf in a thousand-mile radius knew of Luca intimately. He never hid it, because there was no point. He didn’t have a mate and was a very strong alpha with a very high sexual appetite. There were many times I spent the night here with Sage, only to hear her brother with some female groaning in delight.

I did not really like the characters, but overall it was an enjoyable short shifters’ story.

I really love Ryan Micheles writing it's always hot , lovable hero/heroine , story line that keeps you hooked , villain that gets whats coming to them , and always leaves you wanting more . When Luca and Cal it's very passion field with alpha hotness in the mix . Cal is in a sticky situation not knowing a way out until her best friend asks her dominate brother to help a friend in need and help he does . Luca is one sexy shiftier leader of his pack all the women want him but he only craves one tempting heroine . I really liked some secondary characters I hope to see more from them in futre books , You do not want to miss the alphas bargain one click right away you wont be disappointed .

I received a advanced readers copy of The Alpha's Bargain in exchange for my honest review.
First this book is not a full length novel, but sometimes that can be great thing. I enjoy a quick story once in a while especially is they are done right. This is a complete story with a HEA and dynamic characters.
Luca and Cal are Werewolf Shifters. Luca is the alpha for his back and his sisters best friend is Cal from a neighboring back. Cal has been running her families books for the two bars they own. She comes upon a huge problem, their broke. She knows she needs to find a way to fix this or the pack is in huge financial disaster.
One afternoon she heads to her BFF's house only for Luca to ask to talk with her. She has had a huge crush on Luca since she was a teenager. Cal has not had her first heat which is what leads to mating in this shifter world, so she hasn't found her mate and won't until after her first heat. So when Luca offers to pay off her families debt and all Cal has to do is pretend to be his mate for 6 months. It sounds like an indecent proposal and it is. But Cal is desperate and is willing to give it a try. Luca wants Cal to live the next 6 months as if they are mates.
It's not till the end of the books that you learn that Luca believed Cal to be his mate because of a psychic. That part was very week and I wish was developed even a little bit more. And it is why I went with 4 stars instead of 4.5. If it was explained a little more with more detail, I think it would have fulfilled my need to understand Luca's reasoning.
Great chemistry between the characters and the writing was fluid. Cute story.

2.5 Fluffy-Smut Stars
This one was ok, but I always think of The Howls books as the soapy-smut of paranormal, and this didn’t feel very soapy. Actually, if you can handle this….
Boy, did everyone know it, too. Every female wolf in a thousand-mile radius knew of Luca intimately. He never hid it, because there was no point. He didn’t have a mate and was a very strong alpha with a very high sexual appetite. There were many times I spent the night here with Sage, only to hear her brother with some female groaning in delight. It was one of the shittiest parts about having great hearing. If only it had an off switch when it came to blocking out that kind of thing.
The rest is pretty low drama and sweet. Luca is the neighboring pack’s alpha; he’s also the older brother of her BFF. Caleigh has had a crush on him forever, but for these shifters; they don’t recognize their mates until after their first heat cycle. Then, they typically run into them within a year. She agrees to live with him for several months in exchange for him helping out her family business.
I really had two grumps: 1. I really wanted Luca’s POV, it would have helped fill in some holes, and I prefer to know what’s going on with both mc’s. We only follow C around, so we have no clue what’s going on in Luca’s life 2. The man-whore/hearing him have sex plot device was unneeded, and ineffective. It added NOTHING to the story; it’s brought up once; the h doesn’t seem bothered at all; the H doesn’t act like one- no flirting/ow drama; there’s not even shade thrown from jealous pack females. I could understand the reasoning if his dalliances caused angsty drama as a relationship roadblock. For example, Caleigh could have reservations, or deep hurt, or loads of past lovers could be throwing it in her face, but none of that happens. As is… it felt lazy. There’s one small OW conflict with a she-wolf, but she seemed motivated by being the alpha-female rather than strong feelings for H.
Bottom Line- It was “ok” nothing thrilling (action), and nothing overly dramatic. The couple really doesn’t have any major obstacles, and they get down to “coupling” pretty quickly. The length doesn’t allow for anything very detailed/deep; it's fluff-smut. There were a couple of plot holes/questions I had like; There's a quick cute epilogue 2 years in the future.

The Alpha’s Bargain is Caleigh and Luca’s book. Caleigh is the Alpha’s daughter and their pack is in financial trouble. Caleigh feels guilty because she is in charge of their finances and trust her best friend with this secret. The problem is her best friend tells her brother, and it is the same brother Caleigh has been in love with forever. Luca agrees to help their pack, but in return Caleigh must stay with him for six months. Caleigh is not sure if she can do this because she is afraid her heart might not recover after it’s all over and done with. I really liked Caleigh and her independence and how once she decided to do this she went in all the way. And Luca was all alpha. He knows what he wants and it is Caleigh. I love how he is with her and how sweet he is with her.
Luca and Caleigh have chemistry that is off the charts. Once they both decide to go for it they will have obstacles that will try to tear them apart. Will they have enough trust in each other to become true mates?

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of the book.
The Alpha's Bargain is a quick, sexy read. Ryan Michelle did an excellent job of world building and explaining pack culture as the story went along. Caleigh was a good female lead and I liked Luca as well. There are a lot of secondary characters, but that didn't distract from the story either. The plot was a bit predictable but enjoyable nonetheless. I think this is a great book if you're new to the Shifter subgenre and want to test the waters. I give the book 3 out of 5 wine glasses.

I love shifter and fated mate stories. Ryan Michele has delivered a story that is just that. Luca & Cal have known each other since they were kids. I enjoyed some of the glimpses we were given of them as children. As a reader it was very believable that they were mates. Luca & Cal's story is passionate & fun. There is action as well. I just wish that Cal hadn't heard him having sex with other she wolves.

A captivating Shifter romance that is hot sexy and alluring. The Alpha Bargain is an novella that has all the components I love in a romance. Family dramas, an insta-solution and a best friend's brother! The story was intriguing and I loved all the characters from the parents, the best friend to the brothers. I especially loved the Luca and Cal. They are passionate together, and although it is all part of the bargain you can't escape fate. The story line gives us all we expect in a shifter romance from the possessive alpha to the catty drama and I really enjoyed reading this novella and can't help wishing we got more.

Ryan Michele did an amazing job on this story. The book is well written. The Alpha's Bargain has a great story plot. Loved the characters. Luca and Caleigh are great strong characters. Luca and Caleigh are perfect together. The chemistry between them is sizzling hot. They made a perfect pair. Loved how possessive, loving and protective Luca and Caleigh are. This is a great story. I really enjoyed this book. I love this series. I'm looking forward to reading more. This is a great book. I highly recommend reading. It's a 5 Star. Thank you, Ryan Michele. Wonderful work :)

This is one of my fav wolf shifter books. It has all elements. It's hot, catchy and has alpha hero I adore and strong alpha heroine that I love. Add some drama, which I love and it's a perfect few hours of awesome read.

I loved the hell out of this novel. I'm starting to really get into shifter romances. I never knew that would be a subject I would enjoy reading until I first read The Alpha's Arrangement and then continued on by reading this novel ( The Alpha's Bargain).
Luca is the alpha of his pack. He's an Alpha without a mate, but, that's about to change. When he hears Caleigh's family (pack) is having financial troubles he makes her a deal she can't refuse. The deal she lives with him as his mate.
Ryan Michele does an amazing job at capturing the reader's attention by vivid scenes and hot as hell details!

The Alpha’s Bargain is a quick, wolf shifter book. It was fun and exciting. Since it is short, the main plot starts right away and it keeps you hooked till the end. I did end up having a few unanswered questions but I am hoping maybe other characters will get their own book and the answers will be there.
Luca is an Alpha in all meanings of the word. He knew who his mate was and took the perfect opportunity to take her. Normally females and males wouldn’t know there mate before the female hits her heat cycle but this was not the case with Luca. I loved that he took his chance and didn’t keep waiting. He was tired of waiting for what was his. He was willing to protect what was his but I loved that Caleigh was strong enough to be by his side and not behind him.
Caleigh bares the weight on her shoulders because of some trouble her pack is in, but when a solution is presented to her she takes the opportunity to help her pack even if it was hurt her in the end. I loved that Caleigh was willing to go through the pain that could come when the deal she struck with Luca was over just to save her family and pack. She had no clue how it would really turn out. She was willing to put her own happiness on the line for them. I love that she was willing to fight with Luca when needed and she held her head up tall through it all. Caleigh and her pack are having some financial issues. She tells her father, the Alpha, but also lets it slip to her sister from another mister/another pack member bestie Sage. Caleigh is pretty sad and stressed out when Sage calls that she has a solution to her problems. Caleigh runs to find out WHAT!!

This is a really good book. Quick, but very enjoyable and leaves you wanting more. While a standalone, it is apart of the Howl's Romance series, which is full of stand alone books written by several different authors, all which have the same paranormal romance theme to them.
I really enjoy this author's writing. Where I normally hate the insta-love thing, she brilliantly worked around that flawlessly by having the main characters have history with each other, so it flowed smoothly and didn't seem rushed, even though it was a shorter book. They have good chemistry with each other, and lots of sexiness involved.
The only things I'd nitpick is that I feel like the family should have asked more questions about the whole bargain. Everything that happens so suddenly because of it should naturally raise questions, but everyone seems to just go with it, even though it all happened practically overnight. Not a huge problem, just something I wish was more prevalent, which could have caused more conflict within the story, just adding to it overall.
But besides that, I think this is another great story from Ryan Michele. It's sexy, it's intriguing, and the characters are all enjoyable. Overall, I definitely recommend it!

Luca makes it sound simple, but there are always things that can change that, and jealously that can derail it. Can she do it while keeping her heart safe, or will the bargain bring the biggest change to her life there is?
Holy hades but is Luca totally luscious! Clearly dominant, he is an alpha after all, but so freaking sweet were Cal is concerned. He totally made me melt the more I read. And Cal is so totally an alpha female. But like all females, she has her own insecurities. But I really loved reading about her letting her own alpha out. I really liked this story and the parts on mating is a different take on a typical werewolf romance. Definitely two thumbs up.

I really enjoyed this book; I read it in one sitting and was left thoroughly satisfied. I liked both Caliegh and Luca. I adored them as a couple and was rooting for them to get their happily ever after. I liked the chemistry between them! I liked that Luca helped Caliegh and her family despite being the leader of a different pack. Overall, I wasn’t once bored whilst reading this book and was left thoroughly satisfied.
I really liked Sage and hope for her story at some point in the future.

Ryan Michele returns with another Howls Romance novella, The Alpha’s Bargain.
I really liked the premise of this novella. I love stories about childhood crushes realized. Caleigh had always had feelings for her best friend’s older brother Luca (who was a bed hopper). She never acted on it because she knew she’d get hurt. So, when her family hits a low point, the one man she never expected steps up to rescue them from ruin. All she has to do is agree to his bargain.
I really liked Caleigh. She was a strong character- fierce and loyal. Her relationships with her family and Sage were really fleshed out for a novella. Luca’s focus is wholly on Caleigh so we don’t get as much of that from him which was okay for me. We get to see his devotion to her and how different he is from his reputation. You can tell he has a secret the whole time.
Overall, this was a really cute novella. There were times it felt disjointed but the storytelling overall is really great. I read it in one sitting. The Alpha’s Bargain can be read as a standalone since it doesn’t have any characters or storylines in common with The Alpha’s Arrangement. I hope to see more shifters from her in the future!

The Alpha's Bargain, book 2 in the Howls Romance Series. For Me Ryan Michele is better known for her Ravage MC and Bound Series. These are some of my favourite serials ever, but her genre change to PNR did not deter me from wanting to devour her words like a hungry wolf *wink wink*. Ryan's ability to deliver one hell of a story to her readers is transcendent, this author never fails to knock my socks off. This is a fantastic 5 star wolfy tale.

Family loyalty runs deep, so when she is offered a way to help them out of difficulty without having to sacrifice their pride, she reluctantly accepts the bargain offered to her by the extremely sexy alpha male leader of a neighbouring pack, he also happens to be her life long crush and her best friends brother.

I am a HUGE fan of all of Ryan Michele's work. I have been since I read the first few pages of Ravage Me. Her writing style just calls to me, I devour her books and always, ALWAYS finish a book and immediately want more. Unfortunately that reaction to her writing seems to have worked against me with this book.
I love these characters, this storyline, and the all around dynamic of the book. What I didn't like is how short it was. 118 pages isn't enough to contain all the greatness that is Ryan Michele's writing. The length of the book didn't allow the story to mature and develop. It had a solid base and drew me right in but, it all felt too rushed. I didn't feel like I knew or had a real connection to the character because there wasn't enough time for that to happen. I would have loved to see this story doubled in length and a more in depth look at the characters and situation.
I will continue to read all things Ryan Michele because she's amazing and I hope to see some full length shifter novels from her in the future.

This story was amazing and short, it could have been longer for me. I loved how it ended, I felt as if I was really there and seeing everything like a fly on the wall. The characters really blew my mind and the whole mating thing blew it even more, I was shocked to see how everything went down and very very interested on the next events this story was taking me on. The Bargain that happens between Luca and Cal was great, i loved it gave this shifter story a twist that made you keep turning the pages over and over again. This story shows strength in many forms, rather its asking for help or getting over the heart ache or leaving ones family every part was strong and the characters just grew on that and it became a one an only story that's never been heard before. Luca is this strong alpha who knows how to go after what he really wants and knows how to show his love and loyalty for everything. Cal is strong alpha and very independent. Together they tackle whatever comes there way rather its family, friends or other enemies. I loved it and recommend anyone read it.

This is part of the Howls Romance series and is a really good book. Caleigh has been keeping the books for her pack and they are drowning. She doesn’t know what to do when she finally breaks down and tells her father who is Alpha of the pack that they are losing money. She also tells her best friend who is a member of another pack. They’ve been best friends since birth and her brother, Luca, is Alpha of their pack. Their packs have always been close and looked out for each other but something this serious doesn’t need to get out to the public. Then Luca comes up with a really good plan. There’s a lot going on but Luca keeps telling her everything will be ok. Luca is a great Alpha and gets along great with both packs. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more in the Howls Romance. It’s a great read with some good sex to get the blood flowing. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from the author.

Caleigh handles the books for her father's pack and is faced with major debt. With no extra funds coming in she does not know what she is going to do. In comes Luca, her best friends brother, her long time crush and alpha to another pack! He offers her a BARGAIN she cannot resist. I really enjoyed how this all played out the only thing I wished for was to have Luca's POV. At times I felt like I was missing something, and it was definitely his POV. I know this is a Novella and is not supposed to be too long, but so wanted to hear from Luca! The connection they share was really well written as you would expect from Ryan, she always has such a way that makes you feel it, even when they are trying to fight it, its there and jumps off the pages. This of course was another great read from Ryan and I can't wait for the next installment!

The Alpha's Bargain is about Luca, an alpha male, and Caleigh, an alpha female. Caleigh is in charge of her pack's finances and when she can't climb out of the debt, Luca steps in with a bargain to wipe it all clean anonymously as long as she lives with him for the next 6 months as his mate. Caleigh is skeptical at first because Luca is the older brother of her best friend and she has known and lusted after him from afar since they were young. She reluctantly agrees and Luca goes above and beyond to show her how good they could be together. They have an intense chemistry that only seems to grow as time goes on. I loved this book even more than the previous one as Ryan Michele delves deeper into how the pack life actually is. This is a twist on an otherwise classic story of a man and woman making a bedroom bargain. I eagerly look forward to the next one!

Ryan Michele is one of my favorite authors and she did not disappoint with this read. It was a bit of a variance from what I expect from her as far as genre and I love that she continues to deliver no matter what she writes. If you like alpha characters with shifter qualities, then this is the book for you. You get both a strong hero and heroine. This is a quick, steamy read with an interesting storyline. Cal our heroine is feisty and strong, working hard at trying to alleviate some financial hard times for her family. We then get introduced to Luca, older brother to Cal's best friend. He presents an idea to help Cal that also proposes a change to Luca and Cal's relationship. Oh boy does it get interesting. I recommend this book especially if you are looking for a sexy read with some fearless characters. Happy Reading!!!
