Marketing specialist Kiera Callahan found herself unemployed. Ditching her expensive apartment, she stored her belongings and left for Vegas to spend some time with her sister’s family. She had a lot to consider. What to do next with her life? Where to live? It was time for her to make a bold decision. Where better to consider her options and blow off some steam than the Bellagio?
Cade Tyndale, Earl of Barrett, was facing the biggest predicament of his life. After his father’s death, Cade had inherited the title and the family estate. Unfortunately, his father had left a stipulation in his will. If Cade hadn’t been married for one year by his 30th birthday, the estate would go to Cade’s younger brother Edward, a spendthrift with no concern for his ancestral home. As Cade’s 29th birthday was only five days away, it appeared Edward would soon have the control he desired. Cade needed to get away from his worries. Where better to escape it all than the Bellagio?
When Kiera won big at the slot machines, it appeared it was her lucky night. And when she literally ran into a gorgeous man with a sexy British accent, she was certain Lady Luck was smiling on her. Cade felt pretty lucky too. He was quite taken with the sexy, sweet American. Kiera fascinated him. And he fascinated Kiera as well. Cade was so charming, witty, and attentive. They dined together and quickly fell into easy conversation. Kiera shared her job woes and Cade told her about his father’s will. He was so handsome and seemed so vulnerable that Kiera found herself offering to marry him. Why not? She was unemployed, had no home, and had always wanted to see England. It was just for a year. What could possibly go wrong?
What could go wrong? Well, aside from
• a vengeful brother who’d like nothing better than to end the marriage,
• adjusting to a lifestyle she couldn’t even begin to fathom,
• trying to keep the marriage a business arrangement when all she wanted to do was throw herself in Cade’s arms
Aside from all that, it should be easy.

The Accidental Wedding was a cute story with a clever plot. Kiera and Cade were likeable, genuine people. They were perfectly suited for one another. The only problem was that darn agreement. When they agreed to keep the arrangement strictly business, neither considered the idea that they would want more. How could veritable strangers affect each other so profoundly? Through their months together collaborating on castle events, attending functions together, and spending so much time in each other’s company, they discovered a lot about each other. And they liked what they discovered. Their feelings for each other were growing deeper. The more time they spent together, the more they wanted each other. But Kiera was afraid that Cade only saw their relationship as temporary. And Cade was afraid pursuing more would make Kiera feel pressured. Still, each time they touched, their agreement to keep it strictly business crumbled a little bit more. I enjoyed watching Cade and Kiera’s relationship slowly evolve after their marriage. From strangers to friends to partners to lovers. If you’re looking for a story that has a sexy, fun feel to it and a sweet, happy ending, this one will more than fit the bill. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.

Keira meets Cade in Las Vegas while she in there visiting her sister. She is having a lucky night on the town and is Cade’s good luck charm also. When she hears he is about to lose his home and England estate as he has to be married in next couple of days she offers to be the bride he needs for a year and day. It doesn’t hurt he is easy on the eyes, an earl, rich, and a good person. I loved the story line but it did seem to take them a while to get it together. Now Elizabeth, Cade’s sister, needs to find a man too! I received this book as an arc for a honest review.

A well written story with nice storyline and plot. I would have liked there not to be that many details and repetitions in the story because they were bit boring a times and took the romance out of the story. Apart from this I like the characters and they are well described. They develop nicely through the story.
A story that is fun, cute, romantic, twisted, emotional and has unexpected twists in it. A story about taking chances, learn to love and get your HEA.
Absolutely a romance that is worth the read.

1 star on Goodreads = I did not like it.
I read a lot of these kinds of novels, and I'm always hoping that someone will get it right one day. There are a couple that have come close, but none that hit the bullseye. This one showed potential with the initial setup - woman in transition meets man in need, and since they're in Vegas, they get hitched. There are even some cute interactions between her and her niece that illustrate her rational, mature mentality. We are *not* led to believe that this woman is immature or flighty. She's likeable and the guy is pitiable. The novel loses me after that and never recovers. It was painful finishing this novel.

1) The sister's reaction is not believable based on the close relationship as it is portrayed; it's too sedate. I have a sister. She might laugh hysterically at me or ridicule me, but she'd never let me go with such a quiet goodbye. Also, what kind of relationship does she have with her brother-in-law. My brother-in-law would have opinions with a capital O. This guy barely even says hello and goodbye to her. This whole good-bye scene doesn't match the rest of the introduction.

2) The biggest issue for me is that this woman is bold enough to offer to marry this guy and move to England with him, but she's not bold enough to ASK about the physical side of a marriage. It's like this rational, mature adult has suddenly regressed into a pre-teen girl, and that's how she stays for the rest of the novel. Despite the fact that she knows all about the spite and nastiness of the brother and his wife, she still reacts rashly to the overheard conversation. When faced with the facts, she believes the brother over her husband's actions/words and more importantly, both of their reasons for marriage. What he said wasn't all that shocking either. I literally had to put the book down and do something else for a while because I was so appalled and annoyed.

3) I give the novel props for placing the declarations of love many months into the relationship. That was more realistic than most novels, but it needed more day to day interactions. The "five months later" and other big skips in time made the relationship development super thin. Instead of seeing the relationship develop, the reader is given a summary in narration of how great he thinks she is. This kind of story "telling" instead of "showing" makes for a boring and unbelievable relationship.

4) There's no character development. They like each other, and they try to stay away from each other, until they don't. Then she runs off, and he runs after her. Then they live happily ever after. The end. Lame. There could have been scenes showing Keira's multiple interactions with Courtney, and how those help her grow in her boldness and ultimately her ability to say how she feels to Cade. Nope. Not there. There was a tiny fraction of a hope of Cade's development in regards to his brother, but that angle was not pursued beyond that glimmer of hope. Then at the end, there's been some action and development with the brother, but the reader isn't privy to that info. As far as the romantic development, readers are presented with an interaction b/n Cade and Lea that apparently changes everything, but it's too neat. Then he takes all the blame for the "break-up" when she's the one who took off without talking to him about what she overheard. Lame. People need to take responsibility where necessary and right, not wherever makes other people feel good.

5) The end was predictable. I'm always sad and disappointed when I know exactly what's going to happen.

Overall, without any real support for the romantic development, or any actual character development, this novel comes across as unimaginative and contrived. The basic plot line may be a classic romance novel plot line, but it can certainly be developed beyond what's done here.

Okay this book pretty much sums up my dream fairy tale life lol!

As a girl from Vegas I totally loved that this book took place there! Even better in the Bellagio Casino – where I often stay when I go back and visit. So yes, this scenario could totally happen to me lol!

This book is about Keira, an unemployed, former marketing specialist, who is a bit unsure what direction her life is going in. So, to try and figure things out she moves out of her apartment, puts her stuff in storage, and goes down to Las Vegas to spend some time with her sister’s family. Deciding to go out on the town one night and blow off some steam she ends up at the Bellagio Casino on the Strip.

This book is about Cade, a sexy, GQ, Brit, from England, who is battling his own life issues. Deciding to also get away to sort things out he ends up in Sin City as well.

Cade, the Earl of Barrett, inherited his title and family estate upon his father’s death. Unfortunately, his father placed strict stipulations that if Cade was not married for at least one year before turning thirty he would forfeit his claim on the estate and it would transfer to Cade’s younger brother, Edward.

Upon arriving in Vegas, Cade’s twenty-ninth birthday was only five days away. Cade was just about to run out of time before opportunity literally ran right into him! That’s right! Keira had just won big at the slot machines and was so excited she wasn’t paying attention and bumped into Cade on the casino floor. These two felt an instant spark and Cade asked her to dinner. Over dinner they both opened up about the problems they faced and the difficult choices they weren’t sure how they were going to handle. Although, Keira had just met Cade she offered to marry him as it would solve both of their problems – she needed a place to live and had always wanted to visit England; and he needed a wife. Cade was smitten with her and Keira found him quite handsome and charming. Plus, they both knew they needed each other so they agreed to marry for one year and one day. But what started out as a business arrangement, starts to get blurry when the more time they spend together the more they grow fonder of each other. It isn’t long before feelings are developed and emotions are on the line. But will they admit that to each other? Or will they stick to their agreement of keeping it professional? Then add in family drama, a brother trying to break up the marriage to win over the estate, a culture adjustment and being thousands of miles away from family and friends – things definitely complicated – and well entertaining!

I loved the characters! Keira and Cade were likable, honest, and genuine. They were very well developed! Cade was a true gentleman and Keira was a lady. I loved their chemistry! Also, the way the fought for each other, helped each other, supported each other, and pushed each other to succeed.

This book was beautifully written with fantastic details, and wonderful characters! Also, I totally loved the storyline! Very creative, but still realistic! And I'm totally gonna be booking another trip to the Bellagio soon lol!

This book is fast paced and keeps you fully engaged and entertained through the last page!

I gave this book a strong five-star rating and I probably would have given it more if I could have!

I would absolutely recommend this book to all romance readers! This is a wonderful take on a modern-day fairy tale! I can't wait to see what Debra write's next... Perhaps a book featuring Cade's sister, Elizabeth???

The Accidental Wedding (Loving A Billionaire Book 1)
Debra Elizabeth, 2017
SPOILER WARNING

First of all, the book has been written very well. I only found two grammatical errors, sentence structures are strong, it looks like a book. (Although, there is no distinguishable difference between the narration text and the main characters’ thoughts. Without italics or even single quotes, it looks like the perspective randomly changes between 1st and 3rd POV).

But I have a lot to say about this book; the start was slow. Like, really, really slow. It was hard for me to stay engaged, but I held on because I really wanted to get through this indie. But the more I read, the more I was bombarded by description, not action. If this was a movie, it’d be three hours of characters standing around thinking—at least in the beginning. There was way too much time spent on menial, irrelevant tasks and conversations.

I also have a lot of questions about the general intelligence of both of these characters. So, yeah, the earl needs a wife or else he’s going to get his title stripped and his brother will inherit everything—great. Makes sense (I guess?). But he shows up at a casino, and “charmingly” persuades Keira, our female lead, to stick around and be his lucky charm while he continues to gamble.

After they’ve taken their time playing casino games, they get a table and start tapping away—and Keira just up and tells him about all the money she won. Why? Don’t do this.

So then he tells her about his situation, and she just listens, all ho-hum like it’s not at all suspicious that he has this personal mission to find a wife, and has picked her out of the crowd to hang out with on that very evening. Probably a coincidence. And then—AND THEN—after this whole full-disclosure conversation, he asks her to dinner, AND SHE SAYS YES??

And then she offers. To. MARRY. HIM.

Girls, if a good-looking stranger is all interested in you at a casino, don’t tell him how much you’ve recently won. And then after you do tell him, and he comes up with this story about how he’s nobility and he needs a wife like RIGHT NOW, do not—DO NOT—say “you could marry me.”

Please. Don’t.

Honestly, I could pretend this was a good idea if it started out with their mutual non-interest, they’re both looking to receive the benefits that come of fulfilling this agreement. But these two act like actual newlyweds, already ‘head over heels’ as they both believe that this attraction is perfect, magical love.

Also, why would you willingly marry into the English class system? Not to mention, it’s illegal for any American to accept a title without first denouncing their citizenship (ref. Title of Nobility Clause).

So...there’s no plot to this book. It’s just boring. I mean, Edward (the earl’s brother) is entertaining because he’s always throwing a tantrum about something. But the book is just boring. They both like each other, no mystery for the reader there. There wasn’t enough of an introduction for either character that makes me desperately want them together. I feel no connection to these characters.

And I’ll admit, I had to stop reading due to inappropriate content, so I don’t know how it ends. I’m not really interested in finding out, either.

Keira Callahan is a kind, hard working marketing specialist that finds herself in a difficult position at the beginning of the story. She recently lost her job and doesn’t know what to do, she decides to put everything away in storage… without a job and a home, she decides to go to Vegas to visit her sister’s family and see what her luck brings her. She believes that some downtime might help her figure out what she wants to do next in her life.

Cade Tyndale is the handsome and sexy fourteenth Earl of Barrett, who also has a difficult situation in his hands. He ran out of time to marry and become heir of his father’s title. There’s a lot at stake if he doesn’t fulfill the position that is rightfully his, since his brother doesn’t care much about the people that depend of it. Sadden by the reality that he soon would face, he decides to spend some time in Las Vegas.

Keira and Cade soon meet, their attraction is immediate the moment they see each other. It doesn’t take much time for them to want to get to know each other better, and when they do, the accidental wedding happens.

It wasn’t a surprise when they ended up marrying and making a deal that will benefit both of them, with the idea of eventually going their separate ways. What seemed like a reasonable idea for both of them, turns complicated when they realized that the attraction they feel is more than they originally anticipated, making their dynamic fun and interesting.

It wasn’t at all part of the plan.

I loved that from the beginning Keira really meant to help Cade out. She wasn’t interested in the title and money he offered her in exchange of their wedding transaction. Cade saw her as a beautiful human being, and that’s why he accepted the idea as a business proposition and treated is as such thinking it was best for them both.

Keira’s welcome to England wasn’t as merry as she hoped for. She’d always had dreamed about visiting the country and spending some time there, but there was a lot she didn't understand about her new title as Lady Barrett and the obligations that she now had. Cade was happy he could keep his father’s state and help the community that depended of it, even if his happiness was placed last in his priority list. Keira and Cade made a wonderful team and soon Keira found a way to use her expertise to improve Cade’s business and make it more profitable.

This book is a great sweet contemporary romance that will have you reading page after page until you finish it. They way Keira and Cade’s relationship develops is interesting and has you want to give them both a slap in the back of the head for being so slow at accepting the love they feel for each other, after all… they’re already husband and wife. If you like wedding romances this is a book you’ll love.

This book made me go Squee! This is a plot that my younger self had floating in my head when I daydreamed about marrying a handsome Brit...and if not a member of the aristocracy, at least Davy Jones from The Monkees or George Harrison...or Simon Le Bon.

I'm a sucker for a cute accent.

This was a wonderful quick read that gave me warm fuzzy feelings. Keira and Cade are just a perfect couple.

Keira is sweet and more than a little naive, but that is what made you love her. She's really a bit of a Cinderella, without the wicked stepmother/step sisters thing going on. She loves her sister and her family and she's good with children and she is looking for a new job and a place to live.

Cade is the type of hero we all want in a sweet romance too, plus there's no sign of an alpha male to be found. That gets a two thumbs up from me. He is also a victim of a will that says he must be married for a year before he turns thirty or else he must forfeit his inheritance to his not so nice brother Edward and his wife Courtney.

I liked that both were at crossroads in their lives and somehow through a whole lot of craziness managed to get together in an almost fairy tale sort of way, complete with some twists and turns along the way.

A sweet fun fairytale-ish read.

This was an interesting read and definitely one that lovers of billionaire stories will adore. It has a very interesting take on the having nothing to lose state, and just giving in to the world. The two main characters find a way to do this, follow through with a few crazy notions and then they have to deal with the consequences…and whether those are good or bad. I loved that they just went with the flow and then things got a bit manic, as they looked toward what was next.

It was lovely to have two people who were on very different ends of the financial spectrum, but both very intellectual and honest. The could both hold their own, no matter the money, and didn’t get too caught up in it all. I liked that and found it made me connect with the characters more.

The pace was good. It carried the story along and left time for some details, which kept your mind hooked on just what would come of their accidents.

Overall, this was a good read and I think a lot of readers with really enjoy it!

This is a sweet feel-good modern day fairy tale that was fun to read. It’s a clean romance with a pair of likable, charismatic main characters. The chemistry between the couple was hot but both parties fight the natural attraction for sensible reasons.

There is plenty of humor throughout the story; sometimes at unexpected moments. Keira has to make a lot of adjustments to her thinking and world view when she gets to England and suddenly finds herself among the “upper crust”. The conflict between Cade and his brother and sister-in-law made Kiera’s unexpected presence even more uncomfortable, but Keira still manages to find other allies and a sense of personal fulfillment.

This book will make you smile and reawaken a sense of wonder in the most jaded psyche. For a little while it’s nice to escape to a place where the impossible dream becomes reality and fairy tales really do come true.

I was gifted an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Okayish

This novel had a lot of good moments, a lot of sweet moments; BUT it also had lot of just okay moments that really didn't bring the same warm smile to my face as the other moments had. However, even though there were times when it would lull and I would begin to ponder about choosing another novel,  something would grab my attention again- just enough to reel me back in to stick by the side of this author. In the end, though, I'm glad I finished reading this novel.

Ever want to live in a castle and be in a fairy tale. Our redheaded main character does just that. She losses her job and fly across the country to visit her sister. She goes to Los Vegas for a weekend getaway and bumps in an English Earl when walking with looking where she goes. Interesting reading. The same day she agree to marry the Earl. She lives in a castle. Not all roses and wine. Sweet romance.

I enjoyed the book, it held your interest the whole time. I was so glad things worked out for Cade and Kiera, there for aa while, it looked like they weren't going to admit to the feelings they had for each other. It would be interesting if there was sequel and the brothers were able to have a better relationship.

Sweet Dreams of Love

What started out as a way to keep an inheritance that was important to the safety and prosperity of many people becomes much more, as Keira and Cade get to know one another. But will they ever learn how each other feel?

Inconsistency

The earl is supposedly concerned for the land and home and money being spent in a manner to contribute to the castle and village.... So why is he gambling away money.... Why huge expensive jewelry.? Other areas of misspending to make a believable plot or story. Plot could have been better.

Business arrangement vs. true love

Cade was running out time when he literally ran into Kiera in Las Vegas. As they had dinner that night he explained to her that he only a few days left or he would lose his estate. She spoke up and agreed to marry him. That was the beginning of her adventure.

Wonderful and exciting

The story is a wonderful story of how things don't always go as planned. Misunderstanding can be a horrible thing, but love finds a way. Very easy to read and sometimes hard to put down waiting for what comes next.

Good story.

This book was an entertaining, modern romance. The characters were good, though I would have liked to have seen them more developed, especially the earl. All in all, I still enjoyed the story.
