I was done.

Done with men.

Women say it all the time; they get fed up, throw their hands in the air, and vow a life of celibacy—until the next chiseled chest comes into view and then they’re foaming at the mouth and wiping the drool from their chins. But this was different, I really meant it.

I’d been manhandled by the last pig that would ever bring his sausage near me. After one of the nastiest divorces in history, followed by some of the crudest and raunchiest dates, I’d decided to bat for the other team.

…At least I tried.

But creating the next Brat Pack hadn’t been on the agenda. Neither had Collier West. And I wasn’t prepared for finding true love at the end of my gal-pal tryst.

3.25 – 3.5 stars

The book was highly entertaining and had very unusual plot.
A woman, who gave up on men and decided to ‘turn the sides’, – it was interesting to read.

I’m not familiar with ‘etiquette’ and rules of lesbian or/and homosexual community, and I can only assume, but some things were not played fair. The heroine misled her female dates and I found some comments (especially about V) slightly offending.

I liked her friends and it was fun to read about her new acquaintances, but I wished for more character development / more insight in their female world.

The hero, who was the twin brother of h’s 1st ‘date’ and later her new BFF, came across as rude at the beginning. He turned out to be a nice guy later, nevertheless some of his decisions and actions bothered me a bit.

Both MCs were 39. And I expected them, especially the h, to be more mature.
(The things she did to avoid the H were childish. Her ignorance of her feelings etc.)

I didn’t like the short time frame she chased him – it was ‘necessary’ due to the plot – but I don’t like it in general *lol*

It’s a pity the ending/epilogue was rushed a bit. I would want to read more about their family times with the kid.

Overall I enjoyed the book. It was refreshing different and I like ‘unusual’ storylines.

Genre: Romantic Comedy

This book was really fun to read. The author takes dating challenges to a whole new level and being on the journey with Giselle was a riot. How many times have women said "that's it, I'm becoming a lesbian because men suck?" I bet many of you will raise your hands for this and that's the exact premise of this book! Giselle is tired of men. So she decides it's time to try something new and bat for the same team. I mean, it can't be THAT hard to date a woman. Right? Girls know what girls want because they are one. Girls are familiar with the female anatomy because they all have the same things. And girls don't pee all over their dates walls. So why is everyone getting on her case saying that you can't switch sexual preferences like one can switch religions? Hmmm...

This book is an over the top, fun, and UNIQUE romantic comedy. The characters are great and I love how they aren't your typical twenty something but rather women in their late thirties. The dates that Giselle finds herself on are downright hilarious. Who would have thought that dating women can be just as hard as dating men? I guess we all have our flaws and Giselle was the type of character to attract people with the most flaws around. The unexpected love story that blossoms from her failed encounters was a real treat and something that totally made me smile and swoon. And the ending was utterly PERFECT.

If you're looking for a book to get lost in for a couple of hours and like a good laugh then I would recommend this book to you. I enjoyed it immensely and hope the author will continue it on into a series because I think some of the secondary characters NEED their own story. If not, I may have a cry, but I'll eventually get over it because this book WAS enough.

Ahhhh......this was just what the doctor ordered, just what a needed......funny as sh!t!!!!!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I started this book, but once I got going, I was all in!

So, Giselle is divorced, pushing 40, and trying to re-enter the dating scene again. It's not so fun.....Giselle finds that out soon enough. With one crappy date after another, she's done. What does she do? She decides to become a lesbian! LOL!! Of course, a heterosexual female cannot just claim she is "now" lesbian, and her gay friend Veronica reminds her of this fact, but she is determined!

I cannot tell you how many times I laughed out loud with this book! I never knew there could be so many different references to the vagina, but Giselle sure could come up with them! Hysterical!!

And then she meets Collier......I loved him! But they're just friends and they can both be themselves around each other because Giselle is a lesbian right? Haha! Wait and see what happens!

Seriously, guys, if you are looking for just a light, funny read with no angst, READ THIS BOOK!! I loved it!

P.S. I totally forgot to mention Giselle's complete and total obsession with OPI nail polish!! I don't know if some of those color names were real, but they were hysterical!

Girl Crush is one of the best books I have read this year. This is a laugh out loud rom-com with a heart warming love story weaved in amongst all of Giselle's hilarious antics of her dating life. Everything about this book was just great, wonderful, lovable, and enduring. From the beautiful and completely appropriate cover with the nail polish bottles, to all of the characters you meet throughout the story. One of the best things for me was the age of Giselle and Collier, almost 40! You will find yourself laughing right along with Giselle's friends at Giselle's dating mishaps, you will find yourself yelling at Giselle to not be so stubborn, and you will find yourself loving every word in this book by the final page!

description

I stumbled across this little gem looking through the new release list and I'm so glad I took a chance on it. I Stephie Walls is a new author for me so haven't read anything from her. I'm always looking to find new authors I can stalk. What caught my eye at first was the cover. Who doesn't like nail polish right?! Then when I read the blurb I said this sounds like my kind of book. I would classify this book as a rom-com and a well written one at that. I know the switching teams out of the blue when you never had an interest sexually or romantically in women before was a bit far fetch but I didn't mind reading about all the fail attempts. This book had me cracking up. I didn't know there was so many ways you can call a vagina. I'm more educated in that area now LOL! I really had a blast reading this book. If you're in the mood for something romantic and funny, go grab this book.

Simply stated, Stephie Walls has proven herself as a rom-com queen.

I honestly can't remember the last book I enjoyed as much as I enjoyed Girl Crush by Stephie Walls! Every single page and situation and new girlfriend left me beaming. I absolutely loved Ronnie, but there was something special about Giselle that I think every woman under the sun will be able to relate to (and own it ... we've all had that thought about giving up on men and batting for the other team at least once in our lives!). But this isn't a story about a disgruntled man-hating woman. It's about a personal journey and all of the friends you collect along the way. You'll find yourself laughing out loud and appreciating all the ladies in your life.

This is one book I'm going to be recommend to ALL of my girlfriends!!!

It's real hard for me to put in the right words to really express how much this book effeted me. At first I was nervous to do this book because people like to mislabel people who are are in the lqbtq community. But I wanted to take a chance on this book because when I heard about it I want to take that chance. I was asked to read this book because I have first hand knowledge about lgbtq community because I am a lesbian, but not also that I grew up in it. So getting a chance to read an ARC of Stephie's book Girl Crush I thought was an amazing read, it had laughing, crying, soul searching. Old and new friendships. As I kept reading I felt more and more drawn to the story and I realized that she was writing my own love story just backwards. But how could she? She doesn't know me. I never liked hiding who I was so I'm glad I finally came out of the closet when I was 16, and that the family and friends that who are okay with are there by my side. And if they are not. Oh well. So thank you Stephie Walls for osmingmout of your comfort zone and doing this.this really blew me away and made me proud.

Girl Crush by Stephie Walls
4 stars!!!

“I just need you to show me the ropes. Give me some dating pointers. The how-to guide to wooing the hoo hoo.”

Friends to lovers is one of my favourite tropes and Stephie Walls delivers a romantic comedy that totally embraces this trope. Silly gutter humour had me laughing out loud with some rather ill-timed snorts and tears of laughter as Stephie Walls regales us with the hilarious shenanigans of Giselle trying to find love.

This was a really quick read for me, full of fun and plenty of laughs, the perfect pick me up or palate cleanser after some heavy reads. Girl Crush is a totally different side to Stephie Walls and even being forty the childish humour certainly embraced my own as full belly laughs became the norm as were the weird glances from the people surrounding me. Giselle is certainly a character and after a nasty divorce and a slew of appalling dates she finally decides that she is giving up the ghost with men and is going to bat for the other team.

“…you don’t just decide to eat pussy, Giselle.”
“I’m assuming it’s like beer…an acquired taste.”

Collier was the brother of one of Giselle’s female dates and these two become fast friends. Even though Giselle has sworn off men she cannot help the attraction she has towards Collier and it seems that the attraction is more than reciprocated, even though Collier is firmly aware that she is a lesbian.

The friendship between Collier and Giselle was stunning, as two people, who are bitter to the world of dating become firm friends and confidantes. Collier tries to keep his emotions in check but he soon finds himself caring and worrying about the car crash that is Giselle.

“…because you don’t realize you’re gay, Gizzy. You like dick. Lots of it. What you don’t like are the assholes attached to the pole. But you very much like penis.”

Low on angst, huge on feels and laughs, Stephie Walls delivers the perfect rom-com where the ingredients were extremely well balanced. Yes, the humour is a little juvenile, but hell, I haven’t laughed this hard in a long time. I had a stitch, I had tears of laughter, I was snorting, I couldn’t help it and at the end of the day that was the objective of this book and Stephie Walls nailed it.

“I can’t deal anymore. I’ll learn to love snatch. Plus, there’s always strap-ons.”

I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading this book.
What I got was a mixture of laugh-out-loud passages mixed with swoon-worthy moments that made my cold-black heart melt.
I will write a better review once I come off my book high.

This book - from the characters to the plot to the writing - was absolute perfection. Ms. Walls blows me away with her ability and talent.

My favorite book of 2017 hands down.

Girl Crush by Stephie Walls
Standalone Romantic Comedy
Girl Crush by Stephie Walls is a new ALL-TIME FAVORITE! Completely unique and absolutely laugh-out-loud funny, it was a rare one-sitting read for me! How many of us hasn’t had giving up on men completely run through our mind?

Giselle has had one too many bad dates. When her most recent horrible date has a disgusting outcome, she decides she is done with men forever. Her best friend, Veronica, is gay so she enlists her help.
“Giselle, you don’t just decide to become a lesbian. You either are, or you aren’t, and based on the fact you’ve been sucking stick instead of going down to Taco Town since puberty, it’s unlikely you just missed the signs.”

Giselle isn’t giving up. She is going lez if it kills her.
You like dick. Lots of it. What you don’t like are the assholes attached to the pole. But you very much like penis .”
“Po-tay-toe, po-tot-toe. The fact is they come as a package. And without a muzzle, I can’t deal anymore. I’ll learn to love snatch. Plus, there’s always strap-ons .”

She dates some beautiful women. She gets along great with them, but more than anything, they end up just beefing up her posse of lesbian friends. Though she does develop a friendship with the gorgeous brother of one of her dates, Collier. Since he thinks she is gay, and she has sworn off men, they stay strictly friends, despite the attraction between them. Giselle denies the draw between them and continues to try to bat for the wrong team, she won’t give up on snatch.
The creases, the folds, the nub, the color changes in the skin, the way it glistened—all I could see was a cold-cut combo.
“Did you just say something about deli meat while staring at my vagina?"

One of the things that cracked me up so much in this book is the multiple words for vagina. There must be 100 in here! I mean how can you not giggle at “bikini biscuit”, “furry furnace”, “curly curtains”, “fluff muffin” and more! And all the expressions!
“…someone else who’d had sausage but had gone kosher and now sought seafood.”

Despite all the hysterical nicknames for the vag, there is an actual heartwarming romance here that is different than any I have read. I mean how many books have you read where they start off as friends because one is playing in her own backyard?

Likes:

•I loved Giselle and her immature comments and her love for cars. I totally want to hang with her and be part of her lesbian girl posse.
•Her best friend Ronnie was the hysterical voice of reason.
•The laugh-out-loud nicknames for the vag.
•Completely unique.
•I love how they became friends before lovers.
•Collier was a dick at first, but I totally fell for him, hook, line and sinker (teehee).
•The main characters are all around 40.
•I literally laughed out loud a LOT during the unique read.
•The use of the OPI colors. So creative!

Dislikes:

•I loved absolutely everything.

The Down & Dirty:
Girl Crush by Stephie Walls attracted me with it’s unique blurb. I rarely interrupt my reading schedule, especially when I’m behind, but this book called to me, and I am SO GLAD I ditched the day to read it. It was the best day I had in MONTHS. I spent the entire day laughing my head off, sighing (in a good way) and swooning, and feeling like I was hanging out with a hysterical group of friends. There was the perfect mix of funny, romance, characters I loved, great friendships, and a completely different and unique storyline. I don’t give 5+++++ stars easily, but I can’t give this book anything less than that. I loved it that much, and it’s sure to be on my 2017 Top Favorites list.

Girl Crush is a friends-to-lovers standalone novel that gave me the biggest rush! Giselle thought she could easily switch sides and give guys the brush. But she never expected Collier West to show up and turn her heart to mush! He delivered romance in spades with a major love-gush!

If my little rhyme didn’t throw you into fits of hysterics, I guarantee this book will — from start to finish! From a new-to-me-author, it is uniquely creative, and one of the most hilarious rom-coms I’ve read! Doing a little research into Stephie Walls’ backlist of what appears to be filled with deeper and heavier romantic subject matters, I think this may be her first venture into the rom-com world. And it looks like she has succeeded in her endeavor with a provocatively written story that will elicit imagination and spice up your world. And major kudos for polishing it off with a colorful cover that is pretty-in-pink perfection!

Readers will find a wild mix of irreverent slapstick entertainment that is a bit raunchy and shocking at times. Uproarious layers of laughter accompany this one from start to finish, although you’ll find a balanced blend of angst and soulful romance to sweeten the plot and keep it real. The witty banter, hilarious dialogue and below-the-belt tags reign supreme! I could hardly catch my breath at times from laughing so hard. Humor is never in short supply throughout.

My first opinion of Giselle was a bit iffy to say the least — she comes across as a self-centered and pampered princess. In reality, she’s not. A prime candidate for gal pal, somewhat of a car snob, connoisseur of cheap wine, clothes freak, and lover of nail polish that plays its own colorful part in this story. It wasn’t long before I was in her friend-zone cheering for her success in straightening her life out. You’ll get the gist of the plot from the book blurb — I don’t intend to spoil one single second of the fun.

Collier West (who prefers to be called by his last name) won’t whet your appetite if you’re looking for the standard alpha male model. He’s more the brooding nice guy variety — with top-quality male assets. West is a bit over-protective and is roommates with his 40-year old gay and unemployed twin sister, Rebecca — who just happens to be Giselle’s first attempt at lesbian dating. He drives a $100,000 bright red 911 Carrera Porsche – and don’t think for a minute that Giselle didn’t take notice. Don’t let that softer side of West fool you, there’s plenty of dominant male he brings out to play when Giselle is around.

Denial will not save you when Cupid’s arrow finds its mark.

Nothing like a horrid divorce to turn your life upside down and have you rethinking your life — even sexuality. That’s the plan – but Giselle is like a fish out of water in moving forward with her quest. Even her best friend, Ronnie, can’t seem to get the message across that “you don’t just wake up one day and decide to be a lesbian.” And then West comes along and muddies the waters even more, ramping up Giselle’s uncertainty to the point where she’s soon pressed with the question of whether or not to give up this crazy notion and share her little secret with him.

A friendly and comfortable relationship begins to develop between Giselle and West. Each feels a draw towards the other. It’s great entertainment watching these two replace pretense with truth. The romantic side of their relationship is a perfectly timed slow burn. They are a bit more mature characters, or you would think so at almost forty, but you’ll have to confirm that opinion for yourself. If Cupid does his job and his arrow hits its mark, we might get a very happy-ever-after!

Besides Veronica, who fills the gay best friend role in the dynamic duo known as Gizzy and Ronnie, an assortment of lively and highly entertaining friends and possible conquests give this rom-com strong support. Instead of new hook-ups, she friend-zones her new recruits. Every girl needs and should have these types of friendships in their survival kit. It gives real meaning to the term “gal pal” — those BFFs who enrich our lives daily. Yes, you’ll find lots of girl power — but this author knows the importance of true romance and doesn’t skimp.

A complete surprise and unexpected charmer! Laughter is the best medicine, so if you need a little lift, one-click today for an original and outrageously riotous spin on romantic comedy!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book. I'm in the minority but I liked it. I did. I didnt love it. Its very different from the other books of Stephie's I read and I loved them. This one was ok for me. It was funny but then got a bit over the top and silly for me. Giselle was definitely an interesting character - especially with her names for a certain body part. I really liked West and I was happy with the ending. The writing itself was flawless.

What to think when you start a new book from an author that you love but had made you cry several times? Should I run for the hills screaming like a loon or grab it with both hands? Who am I kidding?? Of course I'll grab it with both hands and can't start to read it fast enough.
Like I said before and I'll shout it to everyone I love Stephie Walls because not only is she an amazing friend but also because her books are to die for. Her writing is intense, amazing, breathtaking and super hot. She has the ability to put you into tears in a sec or make you laugh your eyes out.
Girl Crush is her latest release and tells Giselle's story.
Giselle just got fed up with men and decided to play in the other team. She was tired of dates going wrong so she made the decision.
How can you change so fast? Can you adjust? Can you enjoy it? Can you really change?
Oh boy... You got me here Stephie. I wasn't expecting this at all... Lol. You are one of my favorite authors that manage to make me cry my eyes out and now you did this... You turned the table.
This book is fun, intense, hot, sincere, and explores a topic that very people try to ignore but it's there.
The plot is amazing and the interaction between the characters is hilarious and sometimes super hot.
The cat and dog game, the hide and seek will make you laugh but also want to hit someone rally hard and make them open their eyes...
I'm overwhelmed with this book mainly because it was totally different from what Stephie had gave us in the past and I loved it so freaking much.
What's next girl? Will it take long to come? Let's wait and see.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This story is about the misadventures of Giselle, an independent, divorced, childless woman in her late 30s who has been playing the field of NSA encounters since the split from her cheating ex. A string of bad dates have left her sexually frustrated and that’s how she comes to the decision of, for lack of a better term, switching teams. As if!!!
While on her adventures in the new realm of dating women, Giselle will make new girlfriends and meet Collier West and his friends. All of them together will become sort of a clan, the same kind you have in HS or college, only older.
This was my first read by this author and I was more than impressed. The book is an experience in laughter, love and friendship. Giselle is completely off her rocker and it’s hard not to like her and her nonsensical ideas (we’ve all made bad decisions, only in her is a pattern) and Collier is just a lovable man dealing with the ridiculously immature women in his life.
Then there are all the secondary characters that come into play, especially Giselle’s BFF, Ronnie, who I was surprised to find here as I’d read about her in Leddy Harper’s I Do, and is one of the most honest friends a woman could ever have.
I really enjoyed this story and it was a great follow up to my last very heavy read. At the end of the day, it is a refreshing rom-com where a grown woman, with a unnatural obsession of nail polish acts like a pre-pubescent girl while coming to terms with her destiny and giving love another chance.

5 perfectly manicured stars

****** AUDIOBOOK REVIEW ******

I could not believe this was the same author of Fallen Woman and Unexpected Arrivals! I mean, Stephie Walls has seriously gutted me with those two books. This, Girl Crush, was a completely different side to her! It was great!! This was such a fun and uplifting book. I enjoyed the lightness and the humor that made me laugh out loud several times!

So Giselle is a divorced, nearly 40 year old woman, who is now reentering the dating pool again. I don’t even want to imagine that! So after failed date, after failed date, she decides she’s done with men. She’s turning lesbian. She just killed me! Thankfully, she has a gay friend there for her to remind her that you just can’t become gay overnight. Giselle isn’t a quitter though… this all leads to an amazingly, humorous book!

I listened to the Audiobook. I will definitely recommend having a set of ear buds to listen to this beauty! There are a TON of different references to the vagina that you may not want to have the entire world listen to! If you want an audiobook that is light and fun with a HUGE entertainment value, this is it! It’s just downright hilarious and will have you hooting with laughter. This is my first ever book with Julia Duvall narrating. I really enjoyed her. She has such great infliction. She brings so much humor and emotion to her voice.

who hasn't thought about switching teams after dealing with one bad excuse of the opposite sex after another? and how many different terms can one person come up with for the vaginas. not to mention the many terms for lesbians, the male genitalia or for sex in general. then there is the question of how many colors of nail polished does one woman need?
but I digress...
Giselle is a woman let down for the last time by a man. now she has decided to try batting for the other team. because, I mean one can make the choice to like women, when they have been only attracted to men right? a few way word dates maybe what life need to bring in the one that you are ment to be with.
Collier is the brother of Beck, Giselles first ever girl/girl date. when they first meet both are not sure what it is about one another. he thinks she is just another girl for his sister. and she thinks he is just a jerk. but, the next thing they know they find that they enjoy each other's company. they find that they can be themselves around each other, and that's only the beginning of their attraction.
should Giselle just throw in the towel on her girl crush phase and fess up to Collier that she's not who he thinks she is? or should she just keep things the way it is between them?
girl crush was one that kept you entertained from beginning to end. I found myself understanding what Giselle was going through when it came to the opposite sex I the dating game. this was definitely a book that I would recommend for all of my book friends to read.

Before I start reviewing the book, can we please talk about how cute this cover is? Not only is the cover perfect for this book - in many ways that I won't spoil for you - it's also catchy. The names on the bottles drew me in first, and I guessed correctly those would be characters we'd meet along Giselle's journey.

Giselle's journey....this girl is a hot mess, and I say that in the most loving way. Her dating antics are totally hilarious; sometimes I shook my head, and sometimes I laughed out loud. Her thought process with some things - and no, I won't spoil it for you - totally made her endearing. The characters were introduced in a way where I felt like I was meeting them too. Although there are plenty of people to "know" in this story, it was never overwhelming to read about someone else because I knew exactly who they were. Giselle's eventual romantic choice matched her perfectly, and I liked the way the storyline dovetailed into that instead of making it obvious from the start. I needed to stop a couple of times while reading for adult things like work, and I hated putting the book down. I read the last third all the way through, ignoring needing to go to sleep, because I HAD to know what was going to happen with these characters.

If you're a fan of rom-coms, if you've ever felt like Giselle and wanted to completely give up dating useless men, or if you want a light-hearted, funny read that will make you believe in the joys of friendship and love, this is your book.

Girl Crush by Stephie Walls is a friends-to-lovers novel.

“Look, I just need you to show me the ropes. Give me some dating pointers. The how-to guide to wooing the hoo hoo.”

A vajayjay by any other name is...well, you'd have to ask Giselle for one of her many masterful word substitutions for the female love shack. Girl Crush was a laugh-a-minute, easy flowing, and fun story. It was fantastic!

"After one of the nastiest divorces in history, followed by some of the crudest and raunchiest dates, I’d decided to bat for the other team."

Giselle has decided to swear off men. She no longer wants what they have to offer...heartache, mixed signals, and bizarre behaviors. Collier has yet to find "the one", and finding this with Giselle seems highly unlikely.

“I can handle a stick. I’ve never had a man complain, and I’ve certainly never ground one’s gears.”

I LOVED this novel. Sometimes, you just need a low drama, feel good, love and laughter read. Girl Crush was all this and more. Giselle's personality was one that you cling to. She could easily be a sister or best friend, a rare gem that sparkled all the way to the core. And Collier *sighs*. This man was a dreamboat. He could be the overprotective, dominate male, but he also had this endearing soft side that he saved just for Giselle. Their story of love found was a cupid's most successful venture.

Every good rom com needs crazy friends to enhance the journey along the way. Without a doubt, Girl Crush had this in spades.

“You needed to feel that reaction. Everything else is easy. It’s all just details.”

My heart beat hard for this novel, one that is sure to be a bright spot for everyone's reading day.

I can't remember the last time a book had me literally laughing out loud!! I absolutely loved Giselle, the words that came out of her mouth were hilarious and the situations she found herself in were even funnier!! Giselle was done with men, she just couldn't take their stupidity and disrespectful life choices anymore so she tried switching teams. Trying to become a lesbian at 39 wasn't as easy as she thought it would be, but she was determined to do it! Her best friend, Veronica, who is a lesbian, tried to talk her out of it, but Giselle wanted to prove her friend wrong. Giselle quickly found out women can be just as bad as men! Through her experiment she did develop lifelong friendships and met Collier West who is perfect!! Sparks started flying their first interaction and only continued to build! Their friendship was tested with secrets and lies, but Giselle's nail polish obsession played a huge role in their relationship! This was my first read by Stephie walls and I'm so happy I found her! I can't wait to read her other books!! if you love rom com you must must must read Girl Crush!!!

Girl Crush is a Crusher.

She has been let down.
She has decided to seek the her way through finding the right girl because the boys are not doing it for her..so she embarks on the new love venture. Finding the "right" girl. Instead she finds herself making an entourage of all her finds. She collects girlfriends like she collects her favorite nail polishes..and in this new venture she finds Collier. Not what she was looking for but with love, you never know what the heart wants until it wants what it wants.
This book is realistic, many women have thought of doing this same thing. This is why I saw Gizzy as me or any of my friends. This book had everything. Truly highly recommend this book!!

OMGEEE!!! This book was FREAKING AMAZING!!!

Did you see the adorable cover?? The nail polish may be my favorite part of the book. It's GENIUS. I LAUGHED SO HARD, Gizzy is a hoot, she's quirky, flirty and clumsy. HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE HER!!!!

I absolutely loved everything about this book, from the dating mishaps to the friendships to the confusion on which team to bat for. This book is in a genre all on its own. I adored every second of it. I want a bff like Veronica. She's hilarious and honest and just the kind of friend every woman needs.

I loved West, he's not really a typical alpha, he's more of a broody sweetheart. I loveeee him.

I loved the building of relationships, it was perfect.
I also loved the SLOW BURN. I was getting so impatient on so many levels so many time. It just worked.

I highly recommend you all read this one. It's light, funny and full of awkward moments. You won't be able to put it down.

I went into this book completely blind and was sucked in from the start. I loved the idea behind the book and the uniqueness of the story. This book was laugh out loud funny at times, while at others it was sweet. I also loved the friendship throughout the book and the fact that all these ladies bonded so well despite the situation in which they met. I loved West's character and his sensitive and charming side. I read this book in one sitting since I didn't want to put it down. A terrific read!!!

When I first started reading this story, I really had no idea what to expect. I hadn't read anything about the book, but the title caught my eye. And if I was expecting one thing, I got another.....and I'm completely blown away by how incredible this story was!! I absolutely loved Giselle and how she wasn't afraid to put herself out there and try something new. She might have been slightly going through a mid-life crisis after getting divorced, but out of that disaster brought her to some of the best people she could have met. West definitely threw a curve-ball into her plans, but the way they got to know each other without any expectations made their relationship seem so much more organic. I laughed so much throughout this story, and at times I wanted to cry. I hope readers give this story a chance, as I know they won't be disappointed. I truly loved everything about this story and I can't wait to read more from this author in the future!

I LOVED THIS STORY!! From start to finish I was completely engaged with the characters and all that was going on in their lives. The only thing that got me was our main character's nickname other than that there isn't a single thing that I would change about this story. It is beautiful, sweet, funny, sexy, story about what to do when your life is shook up unexpectedly.

This specific video review will be included in the May 2018 wrap-up.

Girl Crush by Stephie Walls blew me away.
Girl Crush is a full-length, stand-alone romance novel. Meet Giselle; she´s done with men and has decides to switch to women. She´s blunt, car crazy and could easily be a male version of herself.
I started reading and thought, wow what a sunshine, she´s rude, crude and selfish, sarcastic and full of herself. I nearly stopped reading this book. But I didn´t. And I´m very happy that I didn´t.
Yes, Giselle is crass, but she has a soft heart and reading about her " adventures " gave me a real good time. I laughed, I suffered and I cried with the characters. I love the writing, the words and the characters- I could feel their emotions in the words. I loved reading about her encounters and her dates with women and men. And I love the beautiful HEA.
I recommend Girl Crush and give 5 stars. Thank you, Stephie Walls.
