A former Special Forces wolf shifter.

Carter’s assignment to keep a journalist safe is job one. Finding out she’s the one for him, that complicates matters.

A sexy hottie with her own skeletons.

Alice isn’t your average girl. And learning that the story she’s been covering involves people who shift into animals, well, that could be the story of a lifetime. Or one that puts her life in danger.

Now the one that’s here to protect her becomes so much more than a protector. And the shifters are so much more than she’d ever thought.

Carter

I never would have suspected that Jordan would be their father Jonathon. Oh the twist and turns and the plots are delicious and twisted, I love it. I can't wait to see what Drew gets up to.

I enjoyed this 3rd story in the series.
Carter is assigned to protect journalist Alice who is discovering about shifters. Upon his meeting and getting to know Alice, their friendship turns into more and also a surprise shifter appears from Carter's past, someone whom he has been estranged from re-enters his life with some information about his deceased mother's death.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Carter introduces a great opposites-attract pairing with a no-nonsense journalist and a wolf shifter tasked with keeping her safe. Alice’s curiosity and skepticism play nicely against Carter’s stoic, duty-bound demeanor. Their chemistry simmers, and the “protector falls for the one he’s protecting” trope is done well. The journalistic angle adds an investigative twist that keeps the story from feeling too formulaic. It’s a solid installment with a good blend of mystery, romance, and a dash of danger.
