Lore is one of my 'auto buy' authors. I will literally read anything he writes and I usually love it, but this book was pretty horrible, especially compared to Book 1. I almost passed out from excitement when I saw there was a sequel, but this was a hot mess. The writing is simplistic, the plotlines ridiculous and unbelievable. It's like this was just written in a rush to get it out. It doesn't even pretend to be a professional story. I feel like he wrote it in a few days, said eff it send it, and moved on. Like I literally can't believe this is the same author who wrote Book 1. Maxwell has always been selfish, but the back and forth with his character in this book is headache inducing. It's like he himself didn't know who he was, or what he wanted. The plot twists make no sense! Millions of dollars just dropping in people's laps. Dude's sister going to prison for murder...on what evidence?? Amir 'dropping the charges' and giving her all that money cause he 'forgave her?' What?? Amir is still a martyr right up until he finally woke up at the end...and walked himself right into another relationship with a user. Sigh. So disappointed.

I hate Maxwell!!

In part one I developed a mild dislike for Maxwell but this book here made me hate his mere fictional existence.

One would think after such a horrible experience he would become humbled and be a better person especially to the man who loved him unconditionally, sadly he was not and it was irritating to watch him continue to be a selfish, emotionally draining POS.

Up until the end, watching Amir's life become what it was, was so depressing. But it just proved the timeless saying to be true.....when someone not only shows you who they are but flat out tells you BELIEVE THEM! Trying to force love with someone I believe is incapable of loving dragged him further and further down the rabbit hole. I'm just glad he finally woke up

Granted, knowing Maxwell the way I have come to know him over the course of three books I can see him being a real problem for the happy couple in the next book. Between him and Dean with their broken hearts and bruised egos, the stage has already been set. And I for one can't wait to watch it all unfold.

My name is KSherrie,
And I recommend this read

Two too many

I'm telling you Lore is definitely a master storyteller. He kept the vibe and the pace going with this sequel. He surely didn't disappoint. All of the characters return for this hot and unforgettable sequel to bring this installment to a good climax. Believe me when I say he has done it again. Warning: This story isn't for the faint of heart though.

Happy Reading,

Heterosexual Homosexual folks still the same!

Maxwell really needed his come uppings. I was so mad when him and Amir disrespected his parents in their house having sex. I don't care if it's a heterosexual or homosexual relationship NOTHING good comes from threesomes. Nothing!

Awesome

Very good book. The gentlemen went through so much. I gave this a high rating because the story line was great. I finished this book in couple hours because it was hard to put down. A good read.
