Damien grows up fast and conquers the business world, going from a homeless boy to a billionaire bachelor. He has no time for love in his quest for righting wrongs of the past. What he doesn't know is that love isn't something he can hide from. Sierra grew up with a monster of a father after losing her mother at the tender age of six. Her dad punishes her for sins he assumes his deceased wife made against him. Finally, her father does a business deal with Damien Whitfield, selling Sierra to the highest bidder. So, I've been lacking on my reviews and have three to catch up on so they may all be short and sweet today! :)

I started reading this series a while back and then got distracted and forgot to go back and finish it. When I was going through my list recently I saw the next one and made it my mission to go ahead and finish it out. With that being said, with the ending of this one, I'm really curious about the Anderson families series now too.

HAHA, see I'm getting distracted, now about this book. I liked this book, but I can't say that I loved it. It seemed like it was an up and down hill ride for me. In the beginning I was very intrigued. Sierra's dad has been abusing her for her entire life. She's basically broken and has given up for the most part to expecting an outside life. Everything she's ever had he's taken away including a boyfriend which he allowed his other daughter to turn around and marry. He kept her from having anything, but in turn gave her sister everything and never abused the sister. He took out all of his anger with the girls mother on her. Her father makes a deal with Damien, selling her to him for the cover of it looking like a job, but when Damien makes it look like it could be for a mistress, her father acts like he doesn't care. At this point I was hanging on every word, just waiting to see what would happen next. There was so much sexual frustration between the two I was begging for the deed to finally happen, but here's where everything took its first plunge for me. It took forever for the two to even have a conversation, much less do the deed. So, I got a little bored and almost skipped some pages, but was too afraid I would miss something.

SO, without giving away spoilers away, the two end up doing the deed and having an awesome week together. For me, it picked up again here, but was sorta rushed. I wanted to see them fall for each other and get that lovey feeling in my heart so that when the whole thing falls apart, like it does in most books I feel it, ya know?? I didn't and for me that was another low in the book, but when he came back to talk to her and they finally cleared the air about all that was happening, I was hooked again. However, disappointed with some of it.

Damien's life long mission was revenge. Sierra had started out being a way to get to who he wanted to get his revenge on. When she found out about all of this, instead of being hurt or damn, traumatized, like I would have been she just feel back in bed with him. I mean come on, he spilled all of his terrible secrets on her and even accused her of being a spoiled brat and she jumps his bones. I'm sorry what?!?! I can't tell much more because I would be letting some spoilers out I feel, but it mostly was just an up and down read for me. To me, some things that should have had a big conversation never got recognition, like him buying her from her dad, it got one sentence, saying that he had told her everything and she was freaked out by it at first but then was okay with it. ummm, I thought that was really important and as the reader we should have been allowed on that conversation, lol. Also in the end it never told what happened to her dad. I don't know, just maybe I'm picking it a part and I'm not one to do that by far, but there were just a lot I wanted more from the book.

Damien had his sexy moments and then he had his less than stellar ones too. I can't say that I loved every decision Sierra made either, but this was her first time living out from under anyone's command and was loving making her own decisions even if they were wrong.

IMO, which I know doesn't amount to much, but I think the story had real potential, really. It just wasn't all it could be to me. I don't want to turn anyone away from reading this book or series, because they really are good storylines, and Derek and Drew's stories are definitely worth the read. (The first and second books in the series.) Maybe the last two just needed some editing??? *shrugs*

This is my least favorite of the Tycoon's Baby for the Billionaire series. Once again, as in book three, the hero is very heavy-handed and a real jerk and there were multiple times I felt he crossed the line into physical, mental and sexual abuse but at the last minute she always gave in. He easily turned into a monster many times and he was frightening. He is undeserving of the heroine and after all she has been through I thought she deserved better.

Damien Whitfield was out for vengeance because of a promise he made to his dying, abusive mother. He was a devastatingly handsome billionaire bachelor who was an extremely arrogant prick which minimized what he could have been. He made a deal with the devil and paid for Sierra to work for him...except work is not what he had in mind. He is using her to get close to her best friend to seek out his revenge.

Sierra is a sweet, beautiful, innocent young woman who has been imprisoned by her father her whole life and severely abused physically and mentally. Her dastardly father sells her in a business deal and Damien is the buyer/investor. They have a chemistry that they cannot control. The condition he walks around in 24/7 is unrealistic in the real world...at least to a degree. He treats her terribly one minute and adores her the next. He acts like he could slug her at any given time then loves on her the next minute. And they say women are fickle! Sierra was weak, a doormat, and she put up with his awful behavior. Shame on her. Maybe she did that because she was use to abuse as she grew up with an abusive father who beat her senseless on a regular basis but it was ridiculous the garbage she took and took and took. She was one of those women that no matter how horrible he had been she simply couldn't resist him. He walked into the room and her panties were ruined. Just a glance at him and she was panting. It got old. She couldn't resist him even when his behavior was bordering on abuse. It was just too OTT.

This story has the HEA but...in my opinion it was not enough because of the way he treated her and cast her away. The first 40% of the book moved much to slowly for my taste. I almost started to skip but I pride myself on reading the whole book so that I can give an honest review.

If you have been reading the series, I recommend you finish with this book. If this is a random choice for a read...skip it. It will save you a lot of aggravation and frustration.

The Tycoons Secret by Melody Anne

DOES HE LOVER HER ENOUGH?

Damien & Sierra

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness!!! This is the best one yet out of the "Baby for the Billionaire" series... I wept, I laughed, I got pissed, and finally I got happy!!!! If you haven't read the first three, please do so before reading this one... you don't have to, but it makes this story that much richer!!!

The characters... ahhhhh the characters!!! Well, let's see, you've got Damien who's this uber rich, uber hot, and uber pissed billionaire. He's on a mission and nothing is going to stop him... well, almost nothing!!! He's driven by hatred and vindication and I almost wanted to believe what he was saying, but because I've read the last books in both series, I know he's wrong... I can feel it!!! Enter: Sierra... our quiet as a mouse, timid little girl who's had the most awful up bringing. I know she's 25 years old and not really a little girl anymore, but her spirit has been broken and she seems to be as frightened as a little girl!!! Her father, that rat bastard put so much fear into her, it broke my heart to read about all that he's done to her!! The relationship these two form is for all intensive purposes... unbreakable... there are a few bumpy patches that'll break your heart in two... but believe me-you... it only makes the story better!!!

I read this book in one day... finished it last week.. but I was soooo taken with this book, that it's taken me a week to muster up the courage to write a review about it. It was effortless to read and flowed very nicely... however... the subject matter was NOT easy to read about... abuse never it!! That being said, I wouldn't change it for all the tea in China.. Miss Melody really brings it to the table with this books... stories can't always be about fun and games and foo foo things... believe me when I tell you this story was heart wrenching and nearly broke my heart!! Don't get me wrong.. there's plenty of funny parts to keep you laughing and grinning... ie: "Is there another bug... Sierra?" I was laughing out loud at that.. my hubby gave me a look that told me he knew I was reading a good book!!!!

It was good to see the turn around on both of the characters parts... Damien softening and Sierra growing a backbone!!! I was also glad to see the cameos of old characters... it makes me wanna go back and reread the entire series again the "Baby For The Billionaire" and "Billionaire Bachelor" series both... Come on people... whadda ya waiting for... stop wasting time reading my damn review... get your asses over to Amazon and get started on this series today... The Tycoon's Revenge is the first one and it's FREE... and equally as good as this one... also get The Billionaire Wins the Game for FREE, it's the start of the Billionaire Bachelor series!!! You won't regret it!!!

5 stars!!!

DUMB DUMB AND DUMBER!! OMG!! What was I thinking to buy this idiotic story? I am RETURNING IT FOR MY MONEY BACK!! What a Waste of my time!

Melody Anne Australia is not and Island its a Continent. How dumb are you? Have you heard of DNA? the heroine Sierra Monroe's father David Monroe beat the crap out her for 13 years, turns her into a slave to him and her sister. Sales her to Damien Whitfield. The younger sister Sandy looks like him!! Sierra looks like the mother. Do a DNA test idiot!!

How did this even get published? How is this a Baby for a Billionaire series? Oh did I forget to say there is No Baby in this story. No mention of the children from the previous stories.

The story ends with never hearing what happens to Sandy. She just drops off after her wedding. What happen to Damien's missing sister? Why didn't you beat the crap out David Monroe and then have him put in jail? He gets off way to easy!!

THIS IS A RETURN. The author needs to go back to school.

1 ⭐- Ugh! Didn't like it or triggers or pet peeve!
=======================================
She was mean, always verbally and physically abusive…, but she was his mom.

It was their fault – all of it. His mom could’ve been a good mother, if only they hadn’t ruined her.

“I’m Trinity. Thanks for saving me,” she said before she passed out in his arms.

From that day on, he and Trinity became inseparable. She was his best friend, his confidant, his family – his sister. She was the only person in the entire world keeping the demons at bay – making him remember to love instead of only hate.

Her father told her almost daily that her mother was a cheating whore and that Sierra most likely wasn’t even his kid. He’d also told her, he owned her and would make her pay for her mother’s transgressions. The beatings had begun, only escalating through the years.

None of them cared one iota about Sandy. Sierra figured it didn’t matter as her little sister didn’t care about anyone but herself, anyway.

As she climbed in the elevator, her heart pounded while thinking about Mason. She thought she’d been in love with him, deeply, over-the-moon in love. She may have been, but it had obviously been one sided because the moment Sandy decided she wanted him, he’d followed her sister like the willing puppy he’d turned out to be.

The wedding had taken place in only four months, and their father had seemed to think there was nothing amiss with Sandy suddenly marrying Sierra’s boyfriend.

He would’ve settled for Sierra, but why settle when he could have Sandy, everyone’s choice of the better of the two siblings.

Besides, she didn’t want to get married. Why place herself in a position where a man had control of her again.

His lips softened as he thought of his one and only friend, Trinity. His only impulsive act, ever, had been to offer to marry her. He would’ve, too, had she said yes. Luckily, Drew, the baby’s father, had come back into her life, and not only wanted to do the right thing, but Drew was deeply in love with Trinity.

His plans of taking Sierra to bed were destroyed when he got a call from his very distant girlfriend, begging him to have dinner with her. He hadn’t seen her in a month, was planning on ending their casual relationship, but owed Shelby the courtesy of doing so in person.

He had, however, hit it off with Shelby and had been seeing her for a year, though neither of them were often in the same location at the same time.

Shelby hadn’t been happy about being dumped, not even a little. The first ten minutes of their date had consisted of him telling her why it wasn’t ever going to work. The next hour had been torture listening to her rant about what a jerk he was.

Sierra’s eyes snapped open, her body immediately tensing as she cried out – not in pleasure. He felt the tight resistance of her body as his iron hardness plunged through her innocence.

He was having a good time with her, not thinking about the work being left undone, revenge, or his mother. He was simply enjoying a few moments of uninterrupted time with a beautiful woman.

He wasn’t letting a woman get under his skin – especially a woman who meant nothing more to him than a means to an end. Once he got what he wanted from her, she’d be history.

He’d made the deal with her father, giving the man large sums of money in exchange for her being his employee. It had obviously turned into more than an employer – employee relationship, which made him even angrier. He’d never had a woman walk out on him before.

Something did not sound ok here. The book was not bad but neither was it good. More than a few inconsistencies here.
- the hero seeks revenge because his father became an alcoholic and died driving drunk. He blames his uncles. So he will hire the heroine that is his cousin’s best friend to get near his cousins. Why? He already planned to destroy their business so why is it so important that he go near them? That is unclear.
-the heroine has an abusive father who has always beaten her and favored her little sister. She is happy to go with the hero. Even if she is traumatized she immediately suffers from treacherous body syndrome. Meh.
- the hero was not intentionally cruel to the heroine and has an affair with her, he also follows her to his cousin’s house where he meets all his cousins, and finds out they are pleasant people. He also saves her from her father when he was beating her. He tells her his whole story and she, instead of running away as fast as she can, decides she wants to save him. Here is where the book lost me. As an abused woman, unwanted, unloved even by her sister that stole her boyfriend, she should have a little bit of sense of self preservation. But no, she has none.
So she goes to her friend and spills all his story. He blames her. What did he expect? His cousin is her best and only friend.
- she goes back to her father’s house to retrieve some Christmas ornaments. Why??? Why??? Stay the hell away from that psycho won’t you? Of course he’s there waiting for her and beats her to a pulp.
- her cousin blames the hero for this. I don’t understand why.
- the end is cute
All these things made me feel as if the story is a little strained.
There should be angsty but I didn’t feel it.

I was so shocked that I saw this and had to get it right away!!!! OMG I loved Damien in Trinity and Drew's story! I kept hoping and dreaming he would get a story! He totally did and what an amazing...I mean AHMAZING twist! OMG what a way to join plots! I'm blown away, impressed and I loved it.

Okay I did get annoyed with Heroine Sierra at times and then even more annoyed with Hero Damien...but it worked! It really worked! The only thing that boggled my mind a bit, and yes please refrain this IS a spoiler: was the fact there were death threats targeting Sierra. If I'm not mistaken was never looked into or even solved. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it was the father, but I'm still unclear on that. My imaginative mind just assumed it was a ploy to get Damien to take his daughter.

It was filled with angst, an alpha man that I've loved right along with other readers, and THAT twist! OMG I had to check if I was reading this right! LOL Pure awesomeness and brilliantly done!

I recommend and will definitely read again! I absolutely loved this book!!!!! Read in less than a day too! Read the entire series if you haven't already! My fave Billionaire series so far!

The book had too many loose ends for me. For example, we didn't find out that Damian had a sister until late in the book, if he's a billionaire why didn't he look for her? In addition, I wanted to know what happened to Sierra's father and what his punishment was. I would have liked to have had one more scene with the two of them where she gives him unrefutable proof that she's his daughter and then throws him to the wolves. What about bratty Sandy, what will her life be like without her daddy's money? This book had good bones but it wasn't fleshed out enough IMHO. There were too many unanswered questions for my taste.

Have read most of this billionaire series. And up to this point have enjoyed These silly, enjoyable books - who wouldn't want to be a part of Joseph, George and Richard's families? They are easy, quick, sexy, fun reads, despite the occasional slip ups such as age inconsistencies, typos which even I can forgive and that's saying something pretty huge (and shows I do not take these books too seriously) as I hate bad spelling such as recurring use of you're instead of your, conscious instead of conscience etc. But then I read The Tycoon's Secret. Big big issues.

1 Major character inaccuracy. In Hidden Treasure - Brielle Storm's story - it is mentioned several times that she NEVER graduated from Brown University and had NO real friends getting involved in the wrong crowd. Yet in this book Sierra and Brielle are very best of friends and graduated together.

2 And then I was so totally incensed, infuriated and beyond coherent words to such an extent that I am seriously thinking of deleting all of this woman's books from my iPad when I read that when the two main protagonists are in Australia Sierra says she wants to 'drive around the island'. Australia's land area is almost 7.7 million square kilometres, the USA almost 10 million square kilometres. Australia is a continent. Referring to this amazing, diverse and exciting country as an island is a gross insult. How would Americans like it if their country was referrers to as a state?I. Drive around the island? Really? Such arrogance. Such unforgivable ignorance.

I very much suggest the 'author' makes note of character relationships and backgrounds. And most importantly learns that the world consists of so much more than USA. Even penny dreadfuls need some attempt at authenticity to justify people spending their hard earned cash. Unbelievable.

I loved it! Definitely my favorite.

But there are some parts that I find pretty strange. I mean, Demian's so full thirst for revenge but at some point his intention is forgotten and he's focusing on Sierra. It's romantic sure but I kind of want him focus and not jump to one scene to another.

And not to mention the closure with Sierra's father and sister that I think not satisfying. Gah, I want to read more! Moooore!

Can't wait to the read the next book!

Meh...
What do I say.Yes I'm within the minority here.It didn't wow me the slightest. Saucy moments didn't even get my heart out of rhythm (what's wrong with me). If I was hooked on an ECG machine my heart reading will be at a steady pace...just casually strolling along.

I can't quite pin point it but it was just too weak for me ( yeah you people think.." are you crazy"..no I'm not). There wasn't enough umphhhhft. What century is book from....( yeah yeah I know it's just a story), selling your daughter.. hmpffft yes father was abusive, despised her. But this whole Douglas -Damien deal was a pit if a poop really.

Hooray Sierra, you have a backbone ...ish...due to her fathers abuse and control I thought she would be weak, like cower at the thought of being passed on to a stranger.. but not lust blinds them all...and strengthens you...I guess..I was reading the book but in my head I was tweaking it a little. Yes all those years of abuse and being basically kept captive my character was weak.. scared of men..believed all men are like her father...why..because in the book she doesn't do anything she is controlled and then kept at home..bla bla bla...flinches if hotshot gets angry...something like that.. she eventually begins to believe that not all men are like her father...

In the book it's insta (I have nothing s by against it) .. lust..wham bam thank you maa'm.. fall in love. Damiens revenge was also... waaah really...you can do better than that..you can can't you...and when his plot is ruined...I'd be so angry...mortified.. embarrassed...silly mother for sowing the seed of hate. We don't really find out..well maybe I wasn't paying attention...as to why his mother made him believe what he made him believe.

oh yeah what happened to those threats to her (the one in the beginning when an envelop arrives in the presence of Dougie&Damo at the office ), I thought they'd be a follow up.. but...nil..nothing.

OK, I'll shhhh...
Overall, I did finish it..skipped some naughty bits because *yawn*, it was dull (I did not just write that) .

Its readable, yes.Just plain sailing throughout for me though.

3 stars. Damien Whitfield has been looking for revenge against those who had hurt his mother and father, his whole life. He finally found a way to hurt those people through Sierra Monroe. Sierra Monroe has been trying to get away from her abusive, controlling father for years now. And when her father sells her to Damien Whitfield, she finally sees a way out. What they both weren't expecting in their plans to use each other was that they would feel a passion they have never felt before. I have been waiting for Damien's story since Trinity's book. To be honest, this book was a disappointment. After reading this, I'm still left with a lot of unresolved questions like, . The beginning of the book was well written, but the end was choppy at best. I think one of the biggest problems was that the book was way too short. I'm not talking about it was short because I didn't want the story to end...I'm talking about incredibly short to where the story wasn't even finished being told. If the author wanted to keep a short book, she should have cut out some parts from the beginning so the readers could have a better explained ending. I kept waiting and waiting for some explanations to some of my questions but didn't get them. I'm very disappointed in this book.

I wasn’t sure by the synopses of the book that I would like this book. I’m glad I read it, because I was captivated from the beginning. Damien is a business man. He is intrigued when a father wants to sell him his adult daughter for money. From talking to the father, he can tell he is nothing but slim, but he agrees to buy Sierra. After he takes the deal, he doesn’t know what to do with Sierra.

Sierra has the worst father, for he has abused her for years. She was told that Damien has hired her for a position that she didn’t apply for. She had a taste of freedom for the first time when she traveled away. She didn’t understand her new position, and was tired of just staying in the hotel by herself. She was tired of others telling her what to do, and controlling her. She went to find Damien, and demanded answers. The two ended up doing more than talking. They shared red hot passion. After that first time, the two had fun sharing time together. I loved the friendship, and banter between Sierra, and Damien. Friendship grew into love.

Good story line. Loved this book!

The author has gone on a different direction with this book but I felt it worked but a few thing really bothered me with the story. This book has a more complicated story but again enjoyable. It did however leave quite a few unanswered questions such as Damiens sister, was she another on of his mothers lies or will she be part of the next book. With the addition of the Andersons in the story should this not have been in the Billionaire bachelors books or was that to keep us guessing about who he was related to. The end seamed a bit rushed and more could be done in the building and mending the the relationship between damien and the Andersons. Also the trip to Australia, its NOT a island it a continent you can't just drive round it, well you can it would just take several days. The author made a point of mentioning several things to see in the vast country but several times called it a island !!!!

Damien Whitfield is out for revenge on a family he believes has wronged him and his dead parents. And he's just bought his way into infiltrating that family in the form of Sierra. Her Father, greedy, and desperate for money, sells his daughter to Damien who has plans to use her to get close to his believed enemies as she is best friends with one of them. What he didn't know was that she would captivate him so much he would start to fall. And maybe his enemies were never really his enemies.

This was ok in my book. Sorry to say, just ok, kind of slow paced. Was hoping our main gal, Sierra, would have stood up more for herself with her father but all worked out in the end and our couple got their HEA in the end.

Gostei!

I absolutely LOVED this whole series, at first I didn't know there was a 4th book but I am SOO glad Damien got a book.
Sierra's background with her father being abusive was so well written, and not only well written but written tastefully as well I applaud the author for that, and not just on Sierra's background story but Damien's as well.
I was happy to see the characters I loved from previous books in this book, and when Damien sang "I Won't Give Up" talk about heart-melting. There were so many parts of this book that I loved that I would be writing all day if I sat her and listed everything...so I'm just going to say this...
READ THIS BOOK SERIES, if you already have then awesome.
Although word of advice you should probably read Melody Anne's other series Billionaire Bachelors before reading this one, as the characters from the other series are in this and it takes place after the Billionaire Bachelors series.

I am really enjoying Melody Anne's Baby for the Billionaire series.

The Tycoon's Secret is Damien Whitfield story. He lost his father when he was an infant, and then lost his mother when he was a young teenager. The only thing his mother left him was a thirst for vengeance. On her deathbed she made him promise to seek revenge for those she held responsible for her death. Damien grows up fast and conquers the business world, going from a homeless boy to a billionaire bachelor. He has no time for love in his quest for righting wrongs of the past. Sierra grew up with a monster of a father after losing her mother at the tender age of six. Her dad beats and punishes her for sins he assumes his deceased wife made against him. Finally, her father does a business deal with Damien Whitfield, selling Sierra to him.

I highly recommend this novel if you want a good romance story with wonderful characters with hot and sizzling passion.

The female protagonist, Sierra, was the only redeeming factor for this book. Coming from a troubled past, she actually wants a better life and makes strides to define herself throughout the book. Once again, I was sadden to see character development for Damien take a downturn from when we first met him in the previous novels.

My biggest call out for this series is that the author spends too much time on the sex scenes but leaves little to no substance for a plot that the reader can stay involved with. Sure, the plots aren't all that original but there is so much opportunity to be developed and it just falls short. While an element of angst happens in each, nothing really happens after the event other than forgiveness and moving right along to the epilogue.

This reveiw and rating is from my second read. I know that in my first read I loved this book and would have given it 5 stars.

The only reason I didn't give this book 5 stars is because ifelt it was a REALLY slow in the beginning and rushed at the end. That is probably because I read this in one sittig and sort of skinned through to all the best parts. But genrally books that a slow (for me) are rushed at the end.

Also, I didn't feel it this time. Feel the love and shit growing. When I read books I can litterally see everything in my head. It's basically like wathing a movie (not of a tv show th to its learn and frequent breaks). But even after seeing everything I didn't feel everything. I just saw it.

I read it.

OMG I am so glad I read the billionaire series first because it made this final book of the tycoon series oh so much better. I recommend that if you have note read billionaire bachelor's series start there then read the baby for a billionaire series. I loved both series and have read 11 books and of course you could read them out of order but I do not recommend it. Of course you would not know it because they are two separate series. Anne Melody really threw in a twist by finding a way to bring the two series together.

Disappointing

I like this author but this book in the series was flat irritating. Damien was a favorite of mine throughout the series till his book and it ruined him. Also so many questions left I wanted to scream. Spoiled sister marries ex who depends on daddy for their meal ticket but never gets served up?. Guards bring in threat to cut out eyes of heroine that has been going on long time and...and what??? No answers about dads fate or other dads exit from family. Just frustrating!!! I want to read final book just to see but have a feeling it will frustrate me more.

Well, well, well. This book had me hating it, loving it and then right around again! I love how Damien was able to fall in love when his intentions were for a negative outcome. I truly loved how Sierra learned how to stand up for herself and became a strong independent woman. This series just keeps proving to me that true love can exist and you just have to be patient and find your firecracker of a romance! Melody Anne continues to prove why she.is one of my favorite authors!
