Rate this book
A heart of ice ...

Aurelio de Laurentis is rich, sexy and single. Determinedly so. He lost his love and his heart years ago. Now he buries himself in business. One of Italy’s most successful winemakers, he’s up to his neck in harvests and multi-million dollar expansion plans.

A chance encounter with free-spirited Amber Moncrieff leads to a white-hot affair. But even as he becomes dangerously addicted to her passion and sweetness, he tells himself he can still walk away.

A gift of love ...

Amber knows Aurelio doesn’t do long term. Any emotional involvement with the enigmatic, sexy-as-hell Italian promises nothing but disaster. But her stubborn, generous heart has other ideas.

When their love affair has unexpected consequences, Amber beards the reclusive tycoon in his winery. Surely they can be friends, if only for the sake of their unborn child. She knows better than to ask for more. Yet as she peels back the layers of mystery surrounding Aurelio and learns about his shattered past, how can she steel herself against falling for the brooding Italian?

Can she break the ice around his heart and convince him to love again? If not for her sake, then for their child’s?

It was an interesting read but heroine’s forgiving nature grated on my nerves. She was hurt so much even though most times it wasn’t intentional from hero’s side. Though in one instance I have to give credit for her tenacity. She fought relentlessly.
Epilogue was sweet.
Recommended.

This felt really short - like Novella length short. That being said, it was a fairly angst free second chance story. The H/h had met a few times because of the their ties to the winery business. They were both attracted, but the hero pulled away. (See title) When they meet for the third time, they begin a week-long affair. The hero breaks it off.

Heroine is hurt and tries to call him once. She falls pregnant. Six weeks after their affair, the heroine shows up at the hero's vineyard to begin a marketing campaign. Hero tries to be mean, but he really doesn't have it in him. Heroine tries to be cool, but she knows she has to tell him about the baby at some point.

This is the last of a six book series with the hero's siblings mentioned. They are all eager to see him as happy as they are since he lost

The hero's turnaround from brooding to beaming was quick - but then he just needed a kick in the pants. It had been long enough from his personal tragedy that he really did need to drop the guilt and get on with life.

Nothing groundbreaking in this story, but nothing offensive, either.

***THREE STARS***
I'm a sucker for Harlequin type of Romances and this one fit the bill. Brooding Italian unexpectedly knocks up a woman from a short tryst, and then whiplashes hot and cold for the rest of the story until their HEA. What more could I ask for?

WOW what a moving sizzler of a story MS West captured me from the first page with her vulnerable and brooding hero Aurelio de Laurentis he gorgeous but with a past hurt that he will not let go off he will need someone strong and caring to bring him back and make him feel again other than the wines that are so important to him he is all about work, but when he meets beautiful Australian Amber Moncrieff the sparks start to ignite. Curl up with this one you won’t want to put it down.

Amber works in PR and has a big interest in wines so when she meets wine maker Aurelio at a conference in Rome the light bulbs pop with the spark that shoots between them and they spend time together in the most sensual ways and then just like that he leaves. Amber is stunned and determined to not let him get to her in the future that is until she discovers that she is pregnant. This could cause a few problems when she starts work for him on the PR for his vineyard, the spark is still there.

Aurelio has thrown himself into his work since tragedy took someone away from him that he loved very much his family worry about him but he is so sure that he will never love again but that is before he meets Amber and the sizzle that is constant when she is around starts to bring him back to life and the news that he discovers rocks him but also finally gets him to open up.

I loved this story it is so thoroughly enjoyable a quick read with characters that are real and engaging I could feel the sparks flying off the page when Aurelio and Amber where together and Amber is such a beautiful heroine she shows strength and gives herself so lovingly to the man she loves, they make the best couple. Thank you MS West for another fabulous story one that I highly recommend.

I really liked this book. It brought back a lot of the old Harlequin Presents feel which Harlequin has taken away in their newer books.

The emotions, the feelings and a wonderful read which makes you want to come back to it to read it come.

It also had my favorite trope of pregnancy. Some people do not like this but I like how it adds to the story

Broken heart healed by second chance love

Can't wait for more in the series to be written. Broken heart healed by second chance love. Great story about second chance love, and the healing of a broken heart.

The plot, chemistry, the characters were all pretty good. Why 2 stars then - because it used the harlequin time tested pregnancy to bring back a couple together instead of any choice of the h/H by themselves.

Grief and Regret, left to linger too long!

Aurelio allowed his guilt and grief to warp his thinking. Amber coming into his life rocked his world, in a good way!

Falling for the Brooding Italian is Ms West’s sixth book in her Hot Italians series, and we get to meet feisty Amber who fight’s to mend Aurelio’s broken heart. After all there is a lot at stake.

Ms West packs plenty of emotion into Falling for the Brooding Italian. Aurelio genuinely believes he is acting out of consideration for his family and his lovers until one special lady turn his well-ordered life upside down.

The settings, a vineyard and Rome come across strongly. I found myself rooting for the characters and enjoyed the subtle way Amber transformed Aurelio’s perspective on life.

If you enjoy a hot romance with strong a brooding hero and feisty heroine then consider Falling for the Brooding Italian. It is ideal read for a cold, wet and miserable day.
