I would highly recommend this book to any educator, whether they teach literacy or not!
Routman knows how to create lifelong learners and how to empower and inspire other teachers to do the same. This is a gem of a resource and will stay on my bookshelf!

It's difficult to put into words how much I appreciate and honor the work of Regie Routman. Her newest book is a reminder of all the reasons why. She continues to graciously validate, inspire, and challenge, and she leaves us with hundreds of practical steps to hep us strive for excellence on behalf of the students who deserve our best. Thank you Regie.

This educational resource is, in a word, essential. Regie Routman shares her wisdom, knowledge, and expertise regarding literacy instruction. Every student deserves to learn in classrooms which employ the beliefs and practices that Regie recommends.
