A bit too threadbare in my opinion even taking the size of the book into consideration, perhaps this intervention was necessary at the time (I don’t know when exactly the Apartheid analogy began I’d imagine though Davis had a role to play) but could have gone into more detail. The last chapter, which is the largest of the book, doesn’t even concern the subject at hand. It doesn’t press hard enough on issues that are relevant and would strengthen the comparison. It barely discusses life under occupation or military rule in the 48-66 period and is very light on discussing case studies in political repression within the green line. If you are aware of the Absentee and Citizenship laws you can skip this frankly it does not discuss its features with any more depth than a Wikipedia page. I have great respect for Davis as an activist and will just assume this was published primarily as agitational material or as some sort of long(ish) form introductory pamphlet.
This book is now old but was fundamental in educating the West that the Zionist narrative was built on lies, especially as Israel exterminated an indigenous population
