Unlike his adopted father, Captain Hook, Robin Hook made the decision to ignore what he had learned as a youth and make an attempt to fight piracy in order to make the world's seas a safer place for all.

Our main character is like the Snow White of the Seas, talking with animals and getting them to help him in his quest to remove all the pirates from the sea. A little inconceivable and not a strongly executed plot.

While I thought this book was rather "meh," Asher (5 yo) really enjoyed it. It's the story of a boy raised by pirates who hates what they do and is eventually marooned for thwarting their plans. He then turns into a pirate hunter that can talk to animals (huh?) and recruits a bunch of also-marooned kids to help him. They save the day. I thought the best part of the book was the song at the end.
Illustrations are very detailed in interesting to look at.
Robin Hook was found in the ocean in the arms of a giant octopus, rescued by the pirate James Hook, he defies the captains orders and is abandoned on a deserted island. Later other children join him and they save people from the Pirates. A bit of Robin Hood, Peter Pan and Dr Doolittle warped into a new story.
Robin Hood/Peter Pan picture book about a boy who was raised by Captain Hook and was marooned on an island when he decided he didn't like the pirates' way of life. He, with a gang of children also abandoned by various pirates, quest to make up for all the harm that pirates do in the world.
My son would give this one 10 stars! We checked it out from the library, and I lost count of how many times we read it! He loved the story, and I was getting pretty good at the voices, too! :)
