Best friends, Kennedy and Jane, have just graduated from high school. While on vacation at Bull Lake, Montana, they accidentally stumble back in time and find themselves in the middle of ultra-conservative 18th century England wearing nothing but their bathing suits. With no other options, the girls are forced to take a sexy yet arrogant sea captain, Nathaniel Harris, into their confidence, hoping he can help them navigate their new, unfamiliar world while trying to discover a way home. Nathaniel agrees to help them, even enlisting his wealthy business partner, Sir Edward, to introduce them to London society. Growing hopeless and more and more frustrated with the blossoming romance between she and Nathaniel, Kennedy believes the sooner they return to the future the better, while Jane finds the whole experience a grand adventure. However, despite their verbal sparring and Kennedy's attempts to remain detached, love begins to grab hold as the palpable tension between she and Nathaniel becomes unbearable. When faced with the opportunity to return to their own time period, Kennedy and Jane are forced to choose between the past and the present, until a rogue time traveler makes the decision for them!
I couldn't get in to this story. It felt very juvenile and simplistic.
The girls were quick to assume they had travelled back in time and their convincing of others in that time period was practically instantaneous. One of the first things they said to convince the Captain that they were from 2016 was that Obama was president. The Captain and his friend didn't seem at all freaked out with the phone and its photographs.
It got more interesting in the last quarter of the book where conflict was introduced in the form of a time travelling criminal. The story ended in a cliff hanger.
I liked this story except it ended with a cliff hanger!! Jane and Kennedy are two teen girls that accidentally stumble into a vortex of time. Going from 2016 to the 1700's. Nathaniel, a sea captain, finds the two girls, in their bathing suits, asleep on his bed. Scandalous! After the girls explain to Nathaniel who they are and where they are from, he reluctantly dresses them as men to get them off the the ship. Now to figure a way to get them back to their time. And so the adventure begins. Can't wait for the second book in the series!!
I was hooked on this story from the first few chapters! I love time traveling romances and this one is definitely unique. Kennedy is such a spunky heroine and Captain Nathanial, the hunky sea captain, is a dream! I am so excited to continue this series in book 2 to see if lovers can be reunited and to find out who is this mysterious, yet evil, time traveler. It’s a raise against the clock and I only hope for more romance in book 2!
Honestly could not finish this. Everyone just believes they’re from the future with almost no proof snd Kennedy is so annoying. She’s always mad instead of being grateful someone is spending money to help them and not selling or hurting them. Then they skip the two weeks where the girls are getting acclimated, which in my opinion is the best part of a time travel book.
I was thoroughly enjoying reading this book until I got to the last page and found A CLIFFHANGER. I hate cliffhangers. Of course it was my fault that I found myself in this position. I rarely read the blurbs, even if is a new-to-me author. So this series has three books (and all have been published--so no waiting). They are probably equally good as this first book.
This book was pleasantly entertaining. Starting out with a fun and carefree pair of friends who find themselves displaced to a very different time. They meet some interesting people and the story evolves with a bit of mystery and romance and gears up with some action and suspense leaving you with an anticipation to jump right into the next book.

I wish someone had written that this was a cliffhanger! I would never have started reading this book! It was an ok book but it stopped in the middle, that's just wrong!
