I received a copy of the ePub from the Goodreads group Lovers of Paranormal (LoP) in exchange for an honest review.

Orphaned at a young age Grazi was raised by her nurturing Nonna (grandmother). She appears to be an ordinary girl but she will discover her shocking true identity in this fast paced Young Adult Paranormal Fiction. C. D. Gorri draws the reader into Grazi’s world immediately and the story does not slow down. Many issues are explored including but not limited to bereavement, bullying, high school, friendship, and family dynamics. The primary and secondary characters are well developed and lend themselves to the various layers of this read. Gorri’s werewolves and paranormal activities are original and not at all predictable. Grazi’s journey in her self-discovery is far from over. Is there a love triangle? Many answers need to be revelled in the sequel. Looking forward to the next book in this creative series.

Overall, this is a great book with a fresh outlook on what could have been a possible overused theme and I am definitely looking forward to the next in the series.

I am amazed that this book was so good. It fits well in the YA category and is definitely a good book for the intended 10-18 age range audience. I was afraid it would would mimic so many other werewolf stories, but it didn’t.

I liked the idea of a religious battle, especially Catholic, as I've never seen it done in such a way as this. I thought the characters were well developed and the build up of the love interest characters set the mood for anticipation. The "mean girls" high school drama part felt a little unnecessary after getting into the main plot of the novel, but understandable as it is a novel for the 10-18 year old range. I would have liked Grazi to have been a little older because fifteen is a little young, in my opinion, for what looks to be the build up of a possible “bond mate” character.

l liked that the author described the changes Gratzi goes through physically as well as emotionally as she develops her understanding and acceptance as her role in the bigger picture of a leader of a battle between good and evil. I also like that she isn’t automatically supposed to be in charge of a pack but gets the chance to be comfortable in her new skin.

There were several grammatical errors that can be distracting but I believe they are manageable to most as I tend to be overly critical. (I believe it is the editor in me). I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for these. As it stands I would have given 4 1/2 stars if it was available.

Incredible Book! I couldn't put it down for a second! C.D. Gorri is a wonderful author who keeps you hooked from the very first word and keeps you guessing all through the story. I loved the uniqueness of the story and the brilliance of the characters and their lives as this was not your typical werewolf story.

As a witch myself, I didn't like that they had to be one of the villains talked about in the story as they are so often painted as the bad guys and thrown in with the devil, but there always has to be a bad guy right? As real witches don't believe in the devil this is what makes for a good story and what sets it apart from real life.

The villain that was fought in the story I totally didn't see coming and was so brilliant! I can usually guess who it is before the end of the book and I had totally no idea! The villain is one of the best parts of the book and if done correctly usually tells the best story and this one was amazing!

Another thing that sets a book I find is the behind the scenes characters, the characters that most people notice but overlook because of the love they have for the main characters. I always try to pick one of this characters and tell why they are my favourite and not the main characters because everyone knows the main characters are great. My favourite Character in this one was a toss up between Nonna and Angela. Nonna was amazing, everyone's ideal grandmother always loving, stubborn, and never lets you down. Angela is that friend you always hope you will meet is the true friend, loving, kind, thoughtful and has your back when you need it.

The werewolves in this story were so different and unique that I really got into the story. I have a big love of shifter stories and this one caught my interest right away. I love stories that are unique and go their own way and this one defiantly fits the bill. I loved the way it ended as well and I so can't wait to read the next one!

I highly recommend this story to one and all! especially to all the supernatural story fans out there! TBR and get your copy today!

I am a true fan of Christine Gorri's. Her books are a pleasure to read. This is the first title in a series based around a werewolf on an organic diet. Yes - you read that write.
What I really liked about this novel is the character got used to their new powers and skills over a long (believable) period of time. The author combined this with the typical woes of a teenage girl. There was a strong female protagonist, a nice little love triangle - which didn't demean the female (Yuss!). And some hilarious twists on the typical werewolf we all love - I'll leave you find these out yourself.
Well written, pace pretty near perfect, and most importantly, a book you can't put down!
I've already read Hunter Moon, the second in the Grazi Kelly series and eagerly await the third.

Recommended for YA paranormal fantasy lovers

I wish we had authors like this when I was growing up

This is a great book with a bit of a Cinderella feel to it…well, Cinderella meets paranormal werewolf, all which I’m a big fan of.


C.D. Gorri has done a great job capturing the personality of Grazi. I like that Grazi’s school life isn’t all sugar and spice, and that she encounters everyday difficulties just like any other normal girl. Except Grazi isn’t normal. She’s a werewolf whose job it is to stop evil demons and witches. On top of that she’s also discovering her feelings for Sebastian, the high school soccer star and Ronan, a foreign exchange student.


The werewolves in this story were different and refreshing. In fact, the whole story is different and refreshing. It’s a killer ending but well worth it.

First of all, this book totally rocks! I can totally connect to Maria and I had always wished I could turn into a wolf. I love wolves and even have a red wolf as my spirit guide. I absolutely loved the twist with the Catholic Church being involved. That would be so awesome if it was true!! Was totally hoping she would just put Julianna in her place, not too fond of Sebastian- he's not right for her. Ronan on the other hand is awesome. I will be totally ready to read book 2 and I hope there will be 3 or 4 books to this series.

This is the first book in the Grazi Kelly stories. Grazi finds out theres more to her than she thought. Shes runs faster and other things. There are also bodies piling up and there trying go uncover whats been going on. This is a great shifter read as well as a mystery. I am loving this series right from the first page until the last. I love getting to know this character. I can see the scenes as well in my minds eye as well I can visualize as I read. This book is fantastic it is epic a definite must read.

I quite enjoyed this novel. But I did find, for me, that the beginning was slow, and slightly dull. That and, I didn't actually start enjoying the book till about, 75% in. What kept me reading were the little hints of something more and the griping foreshadowing.

The story did lack description, making some of the scenes fell short. For example, there is a diner scene, Grazi and her friend are talking about a game, (called Wolf Moon). This game was portrayed as something important to the story line. But It ended fast (the food didn't even show up) and then we're suddenly back in Grazi's room, with no transition between the two. I was left confused about the whole scenario, because it actually leads you astray from the main plot, it has no purpose. Edit: I have read the second book, and the game has more of a background and purpose. That scene was kind of an intro, or set up, for the next book. But I stand by what I said, the transition could have been done better.

At times the story did feel, to me, hollow and under developed. The writing at times, made me feel like I was reading a very rough draft of a student’s assignment.

But

As I said, the story does start to pick up, and it gets really good, especially the writing.

Everything starts to get interesting when Ronan shows up. I didn't feel any emotions until he entered the picture. It was like Grazi was a robot; dull, grey, and just lifeless. Ronan brought colour and light, making Grazi became human, making her heart became human. Because common, she was pretty stony for the first half of the book. (Just saying..)

I'm ecstatic I got a chance to read this book; I never would have read it my own. And though there are some structural problems and dullness, it almost works. As Grazi becomes more aware of herself and her wolf, the writing gets better and her feelings, emotions, are painted with colour and brightness.

I'm hooked on this story. I have to know what happens; I have to know how it ends for Grazi and her family.

I will, without a doubt be reading the second book.

I highly recommend this read; you will be presently surprised on how it latches onto your heart/mind and makes you constantly think about what's going to happen next.

Grazi has unique talents, and it is up to her Uncle Sean and the werewolf Ronan to help her discover what makes her so special.

The first few chapters of Wolf Moon: A Grazi Kelly Novel give the reader background information about Grazie and her family. The action and suspense pick up around the middle of the book. Despite this, you won't be able to put it down. It holds your attention from beginning to end. And, of course, there is romance brewing. Grazi finally catches the attention of Sebastian, the school's most popular boy, but the appearance of Ronan throws her for a loop. Sebastian is sweet, athletic, gorgeous and very, very human. Ronan, on the other hand, is handsome, protective, loyal, and a werewolf. I am looking forward to finding out how Grazie handles the two.

I can't wait to read more about Grazi in Gorri's next book Hunter Moon: A Grazi Kelly Novel #2.

Grazi Kelly was an orphan. Her parents were dead and she lived with her grandmother and her uncle’s family. She lived an ordinary life; nothing special. She wasn’t popular in school, didn’t have many friends. She went to a Catholic school, attended mass every Sunday and spent most of her spare time helping her grandmother in the garden. Nothing special, interesting or exciting.
That all changed one day when she blacked out at school while running track for gym. She was never sick and didn’t understand what was happening to her. Her heart started pounding, her insides felt like they were trying to claw their way out. Naturally, the mean girls found everything funny. No one understood what had happened to Grazi, or so she thought. She would soon find out. A fantastical tale that she could have never imagined.
The day she found out she was a werewolf was a life altering moment. She began learning about being a wolf, honing in on her special skills. With the help of Ronan and her uncle, she will learn to embrace her new life; life as a wolf.

I definitely recommend this book. The story was well developed. Grazi is a very likable character. You can feel for her as she learns about her true identity.

New to me author.

Maria lost her parents when she was very young and thanks to the gods she has her Nonna. Well, now it's her and Nonna and her cousin and uncle and aunt all in the same small house.
Something happens and oh wow out jumps the paranormal creatures from most people's nightmares.
We get Vamps, and Maria learns she is a werewolf?
Her cousin is a bully, and life just keeps on unraveling.
And she has not one but two men vying for her affections? Ronan or Sebastian who will win?
What more could a girl want? Well, read it.

Great story. It’s very YA in nature but gives you that angst that you love in a good paranormal book.

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to read this book for an honest review.
First off, I really enjoyed this book!

Maria, nicknamed Grazi, lives with her grandmother and uncle and his family.
After thinking everything is starting to go well, she discovers she's a werewolf and part of an ancient group of protectors.

It was interesting to read a different story on werewolves and their purpose to protect the world.
Grazi as a character is relateable and struggles with normal teenage issues.
Not only is she trying to cope and learn about her new werewolf trait, she has also found herself in a love triangle.

Overall a great read, short, perfect book to get out of a reading slump!

I really enjoyed reading Wolf Moon, Grazi Kelly is a great protagonist and very relatable. I especially enjoyed it since I come from an Italian family myself. All of the snippets of Italian language and culture were spot on! I also attended Catholic school my whole life so again I particularly related to Grazi. It brought back fun memories of my young days with the nuns! I am a big fan of this genre and an aspiring writer as well and I'd recommend this book to anyone who likes cute young adult fantasy/romance. It's a little bit slow at the start, but it picks up and leaves you wanting to read more. I can't wait to see what happens with Grazi and Ronan. I am really looking forward to reading the next installment!

This was OK, but it suffered from detailed and repetitive raves, which included an overwhelming fixation on Catholicism, dragging the story down by inhibiting the pace and detracting from the actual storytelling.

I can handle a bit of the god squad stuff, but I additionally found difficulty with the focus being God = Catholicism, excluding any other denominations which felt prejudicial.

Obviously I won't be continuing on to the next book.

An interesting story about a teenager who finds out that she is a wolf and has to understand and deal with all the problems involved. Normally I don't favor YA heroines/heroes. This book may have changed my mind. Grazi deals with all the typical HS STUFF - Mean girls, crushes, whatever... and on top of that, finding out she is a werewolf. This book is not filled with all the typical teenage angst, which I really appreciate! Good book, definitely a worthwhile read.
