Stone has taken the plunge. The love bug has bitten him while he is vacationing in the city of New Orleans. He and his bride begin their honeymoon by taking a trip up the Mississippi on a riverboat. Will they live happily ever after? Not if the river pirates who board the boat to rob and steal and kidnap the bride as an afterthought have their way. Stone has been in some bad situations, but this seems to be the worst considering he’s personally involved. Some river outlaws are going to die, and they will die hard. There will be one heck of a gunfight before the gun smoke finally clears. This short story from Jeff Breland is an addition to the great western adventure genre in the tradition of R. O. Lane, Paul L. Thompson, and C. J. Petit.

Not a bad read, just way to short but at least the Jeff Breland packed it full of action, get just the meaty parts of the story and you don't want 'Blood and Bullets on the Bayou' to end.

Very effective story, as the characters were well thought out by the author and he was exceptionally impressive with his excellent storytelling.

Great short story and well worthy of the five stars I awarded it. I am impressed with this series and have purchased several of the remaining books.

I anxiously await another visit with the author, as I know I will be well pleased with his works. I happily recommend this book, as it represents what I enjoy reading. I read another series by Mr. Ireland, finding it very appealing to my interests as well.

Do yourselves a favor and try these stories because you will miss some very entertaining storylines, if you do not try them!

A SPECIAL GIRL

A new bounty hunter who changed his job to U.S. Marshal Service Jake Stone. Lots of action and great descriptions of riding up the Mississippi River as husband and wife on a Paddle Boat that was prevalent on those waterways.
A fast clean read about Jake Stone, U.S. Deputy Marshal who adds his skills to hunting down the owlhoots....

Short but a good book




Short and a very quick read. But very exciting, you don't want to stop reading. I truly enjoyed this book and will definitely purchase more books by Jeff Breland.
