Dominic is a young earl who meets Jack, who is pretending to be a boy. She is running from her brutal brother and is found to Dominic's doorstep. When Dominic is injured in a horserace, she appears again, still in her boy clothes and nurses him back to health at his father's estate. In spite of the danger surrounding her, he falls in love with her. Good story.
This is more of a young person's book...between the ages of 12 and 16. It is a sweet romantic novel with a good plot. I would recommend to young readers, and I feel it has been miscatergorized as adult romance fiction.
Again I enjoyed this book because it helped me feed my regency romance addiction. It is lighthearted. The storyline is good fun and ideal for the holidays. The characters were also good and it had shades of 'Devil's Cub' in it which is one of my favourite Gorgette Heyer books.
