Alexander, Earl of Thorne, thought he finally had found the woman of his dreams. But when Sarah fled just weeks after their wedding, his world came crashing down. Five years later, he has given up hope of ever finding her, until a freak accident strands him in a remote Yorkshire village where she is hiding. Sarah dared to hope she was finally safe. But when her husband is thrust back into her life, she fears her dark secrets ? and the fact that she has a son ? will come to light. Though her heart longs to reclaim the love they once shared, Sarah rejects Alexander's offers of reconciliation. But fate is not so easily thwarted... Forced from their home by a flood, Sarah and her child have no choice but to accept Alexander's hospitality in her former home. Yet with each passing day, the risk of discovery grows, threatening to drive Sarah from Alexander's life forever. Is their love strong enough to triumph over the secrets of the past? Or will life's cruel forces finally tear them apart?

Endearing and sweet read, with a lovely plot.

It reminded me a little of the Georgette Heyer "These Old Shades".

This is the second time I have read this author, and I really appreciate her style of writing. She could welcome become a firm favourite.

Dominic is a young earl who meets Jack, who is pretending to be a boy. She is running from her brutal brother and is found to Dominic's doorstep. When Dominic is injured in a horserace, she appears again, still in her boy clothes and nurses him back to health at his father's estate. In spite of the danger surrounding her, he falls in love with her. Good story.

Okay

This is more of a young person's book...between the ages of 12 and 16. It is a sweet romantic novel with a good plot.
I would recommend to young readers, and I feel it has been miscatergorized as adult romance fiction.

Again I enjoyed this book because it helped me feed my regency romance addiction. It is lighthearted. The storyline is good fun and ideal for the holidays. The characters were also good and it had shades of 'Devil's Cub' in it which is one of my favourite Gorgette Heyer books.
