While Mo waits for the slow moving insurance adjuster to approve the cleaning of the Sinful Inn, she takes on a desperation job. After three days with Fortune, even Merlin the cat is on edge. So when Ida Belle learns from Delta Davis that her brother, Skinny Davis, is off blowing his huge jackpot lottery winnings, she gets Mo a job cleaning Skinny's house.
As it turns out, old Skinny isn't so lucky after all. Her first night on the job, Mo finds him propped up in his outhouse, dead and stark naked, except for footwear. By the time the police arrive, Skinny has disappeared from the outhouse and he's found drifting in a rowboat on the bayou the next morning- without the footwear.
Did the "suddenly eager to help" neighbors kill Skinny for the never cashed lottery ticket? When they offer Mo a share of the winning ticket she decides to play along, hoping to find the truth behind Skinny's mysterious disappearing act. It isn't long before Ida Belle, Gertie, Fortune, Marie, Carter, and Tony are all involved helping in one way or another... and depending on who you ask.
When the crap hits the fan and the dirty truth finally comes out, it's up to the women to save the day! And they do with the style and flare only Sinful women are capable of.
Kindle Worlds is a program that allows writers to use Jana DeLeon's Miss Fortune story elements and expand them in their own way. She has my deepest gratitude for putting this series in Kindle Worlds.
The original character portrayals in this book are based Jana DeLeon's development of them in the first three books of her Miss Fortune series, and may not coincide with events in her later books. This is book three in the "Wholly Moses!" series. It's not intended to be a stand alone book.
What wonderful novellas these are such fun with brilliant cameos from our favourite characters. Loving Mo and her intended what a fun couple 💖💖💖. On to the next instalment
Wholly Moses is set in Sinful, La and is a spin-off of the Miss Fortune series. Mo has had a tough life and she has an attitude to go with it. I've read 5 of these now and enjoyed them.
