Rate this book
Two short stories from #1 bestselling author J.R. Rain, including:

"Vampire Road" - In J.R. Rain's exclusive ebook short story, one vampire's thirst for adventure finds him on new roads... and in a carefully laid trap.

"Castle for Sale" - There's a castle for sale. Deep in the woods of Alaska. Dracula's Castle.

**Acclaim for the Novels of J.R. Rain**

"Gripping, adventurous, and romantic - J.R. Rain's The Lost Ark is a breakneck thriller that traces the thread of history from Biblical stories to current-day headlines. Be prepared to lose sleep!"
-JAMES ROLLINS, author of The Seventh Plague

"I enjoyed Moon Dance immensely. The protagonist, Samantha Moon, is a female vampire with a husband and children. Those predate her condition; six years ago she was attacked by a vampire and rendered into one. Now she's trying to carry on with family and private eye business, and she's a feisty, skilled person, so is doing mostly okay. It is not a horror story; she buys animal blood to eat and doesn't generally prey on humans. But her husband has an increasing problem with her coldness - not of spirit, but of body. 'You sicken me and scare the hell out of me,' he tells her. 'And when I touch you it's all I can do to not gag.' She replies, 'Words every wife wants to hear.' I love this! What makes it special are her character and nature."
-PIERS ANTHONY, author of A Spell for Chameleon

"Dark Horse is one of the best books I've read in a long time! A great classic detective story with a modern twist. Unique and interesting characters (I think I'm half in love with Jim Knighthorse now!), a great plot that kept me guessing until the end, and some of the funniest lines I've read anywhere."
-GEMMA HALLIDAY, author of Spying in High Heels

"Impossible to put down. J.R. Rain's Moon Dance is a fabulous urban fantasy."
-APRIL VINE, author of Intrigue In India

"Moon Dance is absolutely brilliant!"
-LISA TENZIN-DOLMA, author of Understanding the Planetary Myths

"J.R. Rain is the new modern master of vampires."
-H.T. NIGHT, author of Vampire Love Story

"I love Jim Knighthorse! Please write faster, Mr. Rain!"
-ELAINE BABICH, author of You Never Called Me Princess

"Moon Dance is a must read. If you like Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum, bounty hunter, be prepared to love J. R. Rain's Samantha Moon, vampire private investigator."
-EVE PALUDAN, author of Witchy Business

"I totally loved The Body Departed. As someone who communicates with those who are either earthbound or have crossed over - your descriptions and interpretations of the dialogue and circumstances could not have been written more accurately.

J. R. Rain serves up two rather macabre short stories in Vampire Road. They start as fairy tales and end as horror stories. Each concerns an old vampire (neither of whom are particularly noble). In the first, the vampire's search for new roads leads him down a doomed path. In the second, the vampire's resolve to isolate himself from humanity rapidly devolves into a broken resolution. For a quick and quirky read, treat yourself to these two very short stories.

Entertaining fantasy listening 🎶🔰

Two will written fantasy world 🌎 vampire haunting adventure thriller short stories by J. R. Rain ☔. Two very different types of story lines one ☝ of a vampire out for a drive 🚗 during the night 🌙 and what happens. The second is a quick read that did not make it to a full length novella or novel. I would recommend this novella to anyone looking for a quick read. Enjoy the adventure of reading or listening. 2022 😮😈😯

Reflectiohs

I don't think he was really looking for ratings here...these seem like reflections we all hit in life but written in his way. It is just neat he shared them. Stories connect life and living.

I loved the short stories in this book. There are some of Samantha Moon that you will love. You will get a glimpse of different characters. I recommend reading this, I truly enjoyed it. Don't want to go into to much details as it will spoil it for the readers.

Yes really a short story

Pretty typical rain prose, but I have to admit I was a little taken aback by the brevity of the Second Story. With what the hell it was $0.99.

Another of J.R. Rain's "Samantha Moon" short stories, however this features a certain world weary vampire looking for an adventure to excite him. Well executed.

Going nowhere

Got lost along the way, didn’t have a direction on where it was going! There was no rhyme or reason for the storyline.
