This is the third book written by Tom Donaldson and I believe his best. A terrific story about a boy genius who has many life challenges and his faithful dog-Max. I could not put this book down and felt it to be a compelling story. This book contained several hooks and twist and I can't wait for Tom's next book.
I highly recommend his first book, Black Overalls, as a must read. A story about high school football in West Texas and the kids that brought a community together.
