I've been making homemade pizza for a few years now and we end up using the same ingredientes most of the time, so I thought that a recipes book would be a good inspiration. Still think it, but this is not it.
First of all, when I think of pizza I think of a traditional sort of pizza. Some pizza-like dish based on tortillas or crescent dough is definetely not what I would expect to find in the very first recipes. I frowned and kept on reading but I must admit that was a bad way to begin.
A homemade pizza dough recipe would have been a nice way to start - but such a recipe is not to be found in this book. Although I'm happy with my current recipe I think no pizza book would be complete without it.
The rest of it is a variety of recipes which have little in common. Different references for store-bough doughs, different temperatures (which surprised me by the way, because pizza is usually better at higher temperatures such as in a proper wood-fueled oven) and in general so many differences that it's hard to believe all the recipes were written by the same person.
So a big NO from me. I'd rather keep eating Pizza Margherita for the rest of my days than giving a try to any of the doubtful recipes in this book.
