Harold L. Fix 1918-2014 This is the personal recollections of a hard-working man from the American mid-west who grew up in the time between two world wars. Born to a 14-year-old-mother and an abusive father, his life journey is a compelling testament to the power of personal integrity and dedication to family. Despite many years of abuse by his father, he was then, and is now, a man of deep honor and respect for others.
Harold L. Fix has been, among many occupations spanning more than 94 years, a trapper, a coal miner, a boxer, and a soldier. He retired in 1981 after 30 years as a tool and die maker for the aerospace industry. He raised three children with his beloved wife and watched grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren growing to adulthood. Almost a century of life has given him a unique perspective that he shares here with his family and friends.
Born during World War I, Harold L Fix is a retired tool and die maker, living in Southern California. He and his wife have been married for more than 72 years. He raised three children and has seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
