This is a great story, really well thought out with a very clever plot. This is one of those stories that keep you guessing all the way through, with plenty of suspense and drama to keep you reading to the very last second, and the characters that you kind of expect to see in one of the old-fashioned murder mystery sitcoms. There's a dash of romance hugely inspired by few of the 90’s bollywood movies. The characters have been developed fine, emotions are adequate. It's a mystery that twists and turns its way to a conclusion you won’t see coming with characters. Great story, I loved it.

The author could have taken care of grammar and sentence construction that sometimes fall flat. Thorough editing is required to make the story more entertaining than it already is. This story is strictly for avid readers who cannot stop reading a book once started.

My favorite character in the story is Ruhani for her gray shades and unpredictability. She is one such character who drives the story and take it to the whole new level. Tanya and Rehan are fine. They give you a vibe of meeting day to day people. Only flaw- they are way too perfect and perfect characters are boring.

The narration and showing the imagery could have been better if the author isn't too much involved in keeping the mystery intact. The best refined narration was at the epilogue. The sequence of the hindu marriage is depicted quite well. I applaud the author in bringing forth the traditions and customs that are being ignored.

Obsessed is a hit in terms of mystery and drama. I wish the author all the best and to come up more with such entertaining stories.

Page Turner!
Four Stars.
If you are a suspense reader, this is a book that you will enjoy.
For a debut writer, Dhawal has definitely set the ambiance perfectly. Right from the start, the reader never settles into the story.
The three friends come and with each one of them, you manage to find something that you can connect with.
But no the imagery built with each chapter just deepens the mystery. It adds to the uncertainty of the chapter deepening the foreboding and never letting the reader guess the next part.
The image created is perfect and between the characters and their dialogues and slangs just flow naturally into the story. They both seem perfect in it.
In the middle though, it seems like the imgery took a upper hand, but then the story rises through and giving it a fitting finish.
And in the end, it all makes sense as to why this heading was chosen.
Enjoyed every bit of that.
Look forward to reading more.

Dhawal Joshi is a wonderful debutant author who has created a realistic and empathic world for his characters. The story is set in India and the dialogue is peppered with authentic, regional slang and expression which really adds an enjoyable dimension to the narrative.
The story itself captures the imagination and the suspense is driven by a growing unsettled atmosphere. The main character is suitable three dimensional and communicates directly with the reader.
The author builds a suspenseful atmosphere full of twists that had me going back to the start to look for earlier clues.
Definitely a book I will recommend.

“Obsessed: One Mystery, A Misunderstanding, Too Many Lies” is indeed a treat for mystery lovers.

The title is self-explanatory and well justified. The book cover is simple yet an eye-catcher. It can be described as a ‘fast-paced mystery with a brilliant twist’. The simplicity of the writing keeps the reader connected to the story making the head spin throughout the plot trying to figure out who exactly the attacker is.

It is a story of three best friends Rehan Shah, Tanya Arora and Ruhani Rana. The book takes you down the lane through their life journey of friendship, love, lies, misunderstandings and what not. Dhawal Joshi has beautifully managed to build a realistic story by totally justifying each and every character.

It is one of the best books I have read so far!

“Obsessed” by Dhawal Joshi, is a tale of three friends, whose friendship is envied by the entire college. A friendship which eventually turns into love for one and a fatal obsession for the other. What happens to their friendship? Do they fall apart after knowing the entire truth? Many hidden secrets and lies. What happens at the end?

One has to read the story to know the entire life of Tanya, Rehan and Ruhani.

Blurb – Well written. Sums up the theme of the story.

Characterization – Each and every character has been given equal importance and skillfully inscribed. Every emotion has been portrayed well.

Narration & Writing Style – The author’s writing style is user friendly and his narration is uncomplicated. It kept me engaged throughout the story. The suspense element has been maintained wonderfully. I felt the end could have been written well. It was like a sudden pitfall in the road while the journey was going on smooth. A little bit of explanation could have been written before the epilogue. Otherwise everything else is inked well.

Title – Perfect title for the story.

Cover – Attractive design.

Errors – Few grammatical errors were found which when edited carefully could be corrected.

Positive – The story’s theme and the author’s narration.

Loved the Mystery. It left me second guessing till the end. The story starts with Rehan bringing his bleeding wife to be to hospital. She has slit her wrist open and no one knows why. As the story unfolds new angle open ups and you are left dumbstruck.
I really loved Ruhani's character, there were parts in the book that made me almost cry for her. It's hard to say much about the book without giving out spoilers but be sure at every point this book will leave you wanting to read on to find out what's going to happen next. The only thing I wanted more was the romance element between the characters but that saying from a woman who loves romance. Anywho it was a great book to read with a cup of coffee.

Well, for a debut writer, this story was well penned and is able to hook a reader throughout the story. For any mystery lovers this book can be a good choice.
However, according to my taste of books, well, I wouldn't lie about the story! The plot was somewhat interesting, evolving around the lives of friends and love interests, misunderstanding and lies hidden behind happy smiles. Yet, to be honest, I didn't quite like the changing of POV and changing of scenes between present and flashback that was happening so often throughout the story.
To be honest, as I personally don't like mystery novels, the story wasn't entirely my cup of tea. It somewhat appeared cliched, if I get so blunt at the end.
Nonetheless, I'd recommend this story to mystery lovers, I know will surely love reading it.

Friendship & Romance are the most common genres to write about anytime. It feels great to read it for sure but it is a task to write it so meticulously that it feels surreal to the reader. It is not a piece of cake to induce the flavor of mystery, drama along with sweet- bitter moments in an already simmering skillet of romance blended perfectly with true & pure friendship.
At a young age, Dhawal Joshi has made it possible for mature readers to add him in their “Favorite Authors” list as I have done.
In totality, it absolutely is a great one considering the fact that this one is your First one Dhawal. Kudos!!!!
Brew me a few more like this one.
