Rhianna Raines and her partner, Misty, are just trying to live out a rock and roll fantasy with nothing but a good time and badass music. They're so close to signing a big contract. When rock gods, Abel Gunner and Elias Cain, show up to help the girls put on a once in a lifetime show, it seems things can't get any better. It's finally their time to blow up the stage. Yet, Rhianna has a hard time concentrating on all the benefits of her rock star life when nightmares begin blending with her reality. Uncle Tom aka Two Feathers has gone missing, a killer is stalking the streets of San Francisco, and terrifying visions plague her every thought.
Sometimes even a rock star fantasy can turn into a fable when the demons and monsters of the night start haunting the day.
Who is Simple Simon? Well I would say I know who he or even she is but once I think it is someone I am thrown for a loop when sh@t changes once again. The clues that I at least thought were clues have left me questioning everything all over again. This mysterious whistling man - I need to know who he is...
Elias Raven, dude (yes I called you Dude 😊) you killed it once again. I am in love with Misty and Rhianna. The "black raven" scene - holy h@ll I needed to take a cold shower after it. Hot as anything - just damn. The connection those two share is something wonderful.
In Shadow & Flame - part two you are once again brought into the dreams of Rhianna. You are shown things that may or may not be clues as to who might be this mysterious serial killer but are also left with a crap load of more questions. I am honestly going crazy over here trying to piece everything together.
I love how each book in The Collective have pieces from the other books within them. Each Author brings there own style to their book but in it's entirety it all flows and comes together so PERFECTLY. The Collective is such an unique concept and unlike anything I have ever read before. I am so captivated and obsessed with it that it's not even funny.
And I'll just leave this here for you all...
Ring-A-Round The Rosy A pocketful of posies Ashes, Ashes We all fall down
Read the books and that song will seriously never be the same to you either 😉. I would like to Thank all the Authors for that.
"Sometime, the walkers will project themselves onto others..."
***** 5 SIZZLING and intensely unexplainable STARS*****
HOLY...WOW!!! The Collective, Episode nine, Shadow & Flame part two has put a whole new twist on the case of Simon Simple the suspected serial killer!! I can't being to express how important it is to read this series in complete order. The characters and the clues all pull from each other and tie into each book. In this episode we continue to follow the band, Shadow & Flame; that has fallen victim to the threats of "we all fall down," and the "whistling" of the nursery tune, Ring-around-the-rosey. Rihanna and her "dream walking," have possibly provided some very important clues! The sub story of Rihanna and Misty's relationship is nothing short of "panty scorching!!" Wait until you are introduced to the "black raven!!!" Good God, that was SMOKIN' HOT!!! I'm ready to see what develops in the next episode!
Elias Raven does it again, bringing back the gang, Rihanna, Misty, Cain, Genevieve, Abel, Gia and Royston. The mystery of Simple Simons continues, it unravels some more but still a mystery. I love how Rhianna can feel and see things others can't, has given us an insight to other clues. I love Elias' spin on the story and how all the characters mess well together, among themselves and with characters from the other episodes. Now as for the extra curricular exercise Rihanna and a Misty have to release tension, damn, damn and damn! Cold shower is required.
I'm am creeped out by the nursery rhyme Ring Around The Rosie, I picture Chuckie singing the rhyme in my head (lol) -
PSA - this is not a read alone, please take the time and read all The Collective books...the storyline and mystery will get under your skin and you need to solve it.
I loved reading this book. This author is a superb storyteller. It is even paced, colorfully descriptive that you feel like you are there in that moment. While Rhianna and the gang are doing live shows, there is still a killer on the loose by the name of Simple Simon. Rhianna had another dream that her grandfather contacted her and showed her Kevin. Is Kevin the Simple Simon killer or is it an entity posing as Kevin? Everything seems to point at Kevin but nothing is as it seems. I highly recommend reading this book and I look forward to reading more books by this author.
This was a great continuation to this part of the Collective. The music genius at play, friendships coming together, sexy engagements and mystery unfolding had me wanting more. I absolutely love all the characters in this story, Rhianna's abilities to see and feel things around her and the ties that are finally coming about with each written word have really brought out more of the little things that are happening around the basis of this story. I love this author and the way he tells the story and brings out each characters personality as if you've actually known them forever.
I'm so hooked on this series that I literally read this book in one sitting. Once again we meet up with Misty, Rhianna, Royston, Elias, Genevieve, Abel and Gia. As they prepare for the biggest concert yet for Shadow and Flame join the crew and see what new clues will lead us to the killer. This is a fast paced read that will give you a glimpse of what it's like to live a rock and roll lifestyle. This series just keeps getting better and better, I can't wait to find out what happens next.
Another great book in the series. This book allowed me to get to know Rhianna and Misty more as well as the other characters. Simple Simon as he is called in the series is still at large and this book added more clues. I thought I could relate to Rhianna but actually it is Misty that I can relate more too. Now off to the last book in the series. Well done Elias…very suspenseful, intriguing, and comical as well.
I loved this quote from the book, “ Mad as a hatter perhaps, but we all have a little crazy in us, just varying degrees of insanity.”
This is the ninth book in The Collective Series. As Rhianna and Misty get together with their friends, Elias, Abel, Genevieve, and Gia for a big concert, Simple Simon starts leaving more clues. Is anyone safe? What is he going to do next?
This book is a must read. I can't wait for the next book in the series to find out what happens.
I just adore Elias. Want to read all his stories. One can literally feel the music through the words Music, murder and mayhem. I loved the story about the Skinwalkers and Dreamtime. It's kinda freaky, but that brought forth the fact that all is not what it seems. There is more to this life than what we can even imagine in our wildest dreams I want more
The part two of these two singers was just as amazing as the first part. Their interaction throughout this collective series has been surprising and entertaining. Rhianna's native background adds another interesting aspect to this mystery. Another must read!
I am left speechless from this book. This story had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Mr. Raven has such weaved such a story that has you right there with the characters. It will grab you and not let go, along with throwing another few twists and turns into the series.
